Ok, so that's because of the theme ?

No, it's because Sony likes to push buggy updates to Xperia devices that aren't flagship (like ours)
Just delete the file /system/vendor/overlay/android-res.apk and reboot your phone to fix that...

Hi, I want to buy a ZL but still hesitating. I want to know if this (18 toggle system UI from xperia Z would work for ZL)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2208237
Im planning to have the ZL on firmware 434. I don't like the 4.2.2 firmwares coz there's no flash light toggle on the status bar and I dont like the idea of the lockscreen having extra pages.
I hope to get response from the ZL people. Thanks!
no answers?
I just use NovaLauncher instead, together with the Power Toggles app.

No Point. Instead of toggles, use small apps for torch. which pretty good. And ZL amazing phone with a refreshing UI. not many mods as Z and there are quite a few bug in the phone like Mic issue, IR blaster reading issue, Camera dead pixel issue, though not everyone face that, i am facing mic and IR blaster issues. Better to know how your local service center is before buying this beast

I myself hate having to navigate through my screen and start the app for this. For this reason, I wish Pressy would hurry up: I'd love to have a dedicated button for lots of shortcuts, functioning from the lockscreen even!

Thanks for the info guys. I have another question if I use the power toggle will that override the stock toggles on the notification of ZL?
I don't think it can, you'd probably require an alternative ROM for that. Unfortunately, as I kinda dislike having multiple toggle rows on there.

Because I can see on your keyboard "EN" right next to "space" button, this doesn't exist on z1 4.3 keyboard, it switches between languages automatically according to your writing. More clear answer would be it uses multi prediction.
Here I'll show you.
You can see in the screenshot I wrote on my native language as well without having to change languages it did it by itself and also predicted the word by it self.
For the record latest z1 keyboard ( the one I ported) is actually more accurate then the one you ported from 4.2.2 since it has latest SwiftKey predictions integrated while the one your keyboard uses are about 6 months old.
Give it a try you'll see. ( the biggest difference is with the languages that are not English)

As I said mine was taken from a 4.3 Stock ROM NOT a 4.2.2 one. I don't see another language... I see only Latin characters. Try to type smth in Greek or Russian. Mine has the swype function too.
Anyway this my last post here.
Bro!
Wow, good keyboard bro, i tomorrow buy HTC One and use you PORT!
I'm his cousin and the screen shots come from my z1 also the rom provided for the porting (wink)

Here german and English as you see again there's no button, if I use for example English + Russian of course I'll get language button due simple fact it's 2 different types, Latin + Cyrillic, but if used 2 Latin or Cyrillic languages you'll never see the language button.
BTW every xperia keyboard has "swype"
Take a look at the second screen shoot does your settings look like mine? It doesn't because it's the old 4.2.2 keyboard.
Ripping it out from 4.3 Z1 rom doesn't change the fact that your keyboard simply isn't 4.3 Z1 keyboard.
In fact I'll snap a screenshot for you directly from Xperia Z1
Last 3 photos are straight from z1 on 4.3 I've taken as we speak.

The keyboard works fine, but I'm using 3 languages and neither does is show a switch language button, nor does it recognize the language automatically.

Works fine for me, the language button is no longer present in z1 keyboard unless you're using Cyrillic + Latin.
Check your settings, have you enabled all languages? You gotta enable language after downloading it.

Is it possible to install/use notification flip settings introduced in Android 4.2 on the Xperia M?
I've searched the internets but couldn't find any answer.
I tried using Gravity Box but even though I use the Master Switch and
reboot there are still no flip settings available.
I've also tried the Xperia Flip Settings module but still nothing happened after reboot.
So,anyone has an idea on how to do this?
One of the reasons I updated to the latest Jelly Bean 4.3
was this and I m really disappointed.

I have Xperia M Dual.
I use Xperia Filp Settings + Gravity box to get AOSP Tiles. It works perfectly for me.
XFS Enables the tiles while GB Adds them.
Which ROM?
EDIT
I did manage to get it to work somehow by disabling it,rebooting, enabling it and rebooting again.
The thing is that Viber's persistent notification allows me to use the flip settings window only by quick expanding it from the far right corner of the status bar and of course I cannot flip between the default notificationsystem window and the one with the tiles.I suspect this is missing by design though...

The quick setting tiles will not be shown on the default notification panel.
You have 4 different options to open it.
1. Extreme right or left shortcut as u did.
2. Two finger swipe from status bar.
3. Default setup so that if theres no notification then the quick settings tiles will be vissible when u swipe down(will not work for you as you have viber's ongoing notification)
4. Pull down the notification panel n then swipe the bottom bar from left to right or vice versa.
I hope this much information will be helpful to you.

on the newly released Xperia M 4.3 ROM, is it possible to customize the displayed quick settings buttons?
did anyone succeed this? is there an application or patch possible? or will Sony release an update for this?
thanks in advance
Install Xposed Framework and then the modules mentioned in the first post.

Hi guys I'm new here, I have a rooted z1c running RomAur 2.1, and was looking to add some buttons to the bottom navigation bar.
I was briefly on cm11 but didn't really like it but liked the way you could add a option/settings key.
Any way to do this?
Sorry if this has been asked I did have a quick search

One way would be
root -> xposed framework -> gravitybox module
And i think there is a five button mod in "themes and apps" section of z1 compact forum, try looking there
Good luck
