rotation locked on lockscreen - Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Q&A, Help & Troubl

hi all!
after have root my note (4.3 mj9) with towelroot and installed xposed framework + wanam my rotation, on the lockscreen, is locked on the vertical side (right)! anyone with the same problem? solution? (on my s4 i9505, always with towelroot and xposed the rotation is locked everywhere and in every app!! only me?!)

Go in to Wanam and make sure "Enable all rotation angles" is checked under the System category.

You might have to uncheck it, reboot, recheck it, and reboot again.
I remember having the same issue and Wanam was definitely the cause.

Have you tried uninstalling/disabling Wanam and rebooting?
worth a shot before you wipe

flashbarservice has stopped

Hey Guys,
Relatively new to android, and a little lost.
Managed to root and install a custom firmware from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2093080
Everything works fine but occaisionally I get this error popping up intermittently
unfortunately com.sec.android.app.flashbarservice has stopped
I've tried searching
and from what I gather this is the multi window manager, however I'm getting the error without even using the multi window function.
I'd ask on that thread but I'm currently not yet allowed to post there.
any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Benjamin
If you don't use multi window then disable it under settings.

[Q] changing icons (or launcher) on Sense? (Unicon not working?)

Please forgive the n00b question; I have never used anything but stock Android and CM, and I'm trying to give Sense fair shake.
I am running stock, rooted Sense. I don't care for the Phone icon and would like to replace it with the stock KitKat icon.
I tried Unicon, with multiple icon packs, but after restarting everything the icon hasn't changed. Does Unicon only work for GPE?
I understand that I could accomplish this by using a different launcher which supports it, but doing this appears to break the slider shortcuts on my lock screen.
My questions then, are:
1.) Is it possible to change the phone icon without using a different launcher (or an app that just creates a shortcut with a different icon)?
2.) Is it possible to install a different launcher that doesn't break the lockscreen, or replaces the lockscreen entirely?
Thank you.
It's probably because the system files are protected (even with root).. Install this module:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701816
I have Unicon installed and it's working for me. Sense 6.0 on the Developer Edition phone.
That makes sense. Thanks!
I can't get it working on rooted RUU Rooted GPE with xposed? any ideas

I've installed the Xposed Module 'Unicon' and when I apply a theme it doesn't apply to my phone on reboot.

I'm just using Icon Changer 'free version' from Play store.

Development halted until further notice.

Due to family issues and major unfortunate changes in our home/life I no longer have time to work on free software. This project is discontinued until further notice. If you have re-hosted/mirrored/uploaded my software elsewhere please remove it.
Thanks.

Very nice work!!!
However, I can't seem to get the wifi hotspot to work I am rooted (via towelroot and verified). I enable it via your app, go to setting and wifi hotspot. Then a dialog pops up asking me to subscribe? I have S5 with Sprint running stock 4.4.2.
Thoughts?

Hi,
First reboot phone once and see if subscription nag pops up again, if so see below:
Do me a favor (I would appreciate it) Click restore via HFA, let the phone reboot and finish HFA(you won't lose any data promise)
With a file explorer navigate to data/data/com.android.porviders.telephony/databases/telephony.db
pm me this file or post it here (no unique data in it so no worries)
I will get you all sorted out.
Thanks

Sorry to have wasted your time with a reply. It seems that a reboot did fix the issue as I was able to start the Hotspot now and the nag dialog doesn't appear.
Thanks again for your help and you effort in creating this great set of tools!

Yes the phone keeps the old apn settings in memory untill another one is loaded(switch from 3g to lte or a manual switch or, of course, a reboot)
Awesome! Glad you're sorted out.

It absolutely did with TDunham's DeOdexed version.
Obtained root using tdunham [STOCK ROM][4.4.4] NK4 Kitkat ROM DeOdexed. Followed all the instructions on that thread. Im using TWRP recovery.
Downloaded Galaxy Tools from the play store. Says Galaxy Tools v2.2.0. su: Using: 2.13:SUPERSU
I click on "Enable Native Hotspot" and the phone restarts. I go back into the GT app and click on Wifi Hotspot settings and turn the hotspot on. Everytime I do this I get a pop up that says I am not subscribed.
I have uninstalled the GT app and reinstalled. Cleared all data for SU app. No matter what I do I always get the pop up saying I am not subscribed.
Any suggestion?

Maybe try uninstall su app, enable hotspot, then reinstall su app again after hotspot is working.

After disabling SU (cant uninstall, there is no option to. Guessing since it is built into the ROM) I go into the GT app and click Enable hotspot and it says IOException.

Not sure, sorry, I made this for all stock galaxy devices, and it works on all of their official software versions(at least S3 through Note 4/Edge). I cannot say how it will work on custom roms because people change whatever they want in them. On stock everything would work as it should.

You're not stock, your deodexed, which is why it is failing. You need to be stock rooted. Why don't you Odin nk4, then root it.

Uncheck auto reboot and reboot manually afterwards. And posting without giving specific details makes it hard for anyone to help you.

If you are rooted you can also use "simple reboot" from the playstore. No need for gravitybox/exposed if you aren't in to that.....

Root with Spectrum TV app (solved)

Anyone know how to hide root from spectrum TV app. I used magisk hide but that isn't doing it. It still is flagging the phone as rooted. Magisk hide works for my bank app so I don't understand why spectrum sees root.
Solved.... OP is @Ibuprophen and created a mod for the spectrum app.

Its the same with skygo
We have to wait until xposed works for pie i guess.
They have a module that hides root better than in magisk
I'm ready to crack this egg. Service costs too much for such heavy limits on what can be done with it. There was a project a while back, when it was TWC TV, to remove the in/out of home limitations, hide root, and allow Miracast/HDMI use. Wonder what happened to that.

Anybody every figure out how to hide root from spectrum t.v. app. I've tried all settings and apps I can think of.
I'm assuming you tried repackaging magisk manager with a random name? It's in settings right under the "Clear Repo Cache". I have mine enabled so it now says Restore Magisk Manager, not sure what it says if you haven't done it.
Also try renaming or deleting the MagiskManager folder in the root of your file system. Magisk just stores downloads there so you don't need the folder. Pokemon Go requires both to be done as well as Magisk Hide.

I'm curious if you have any Magisk Modules installed? I've read elsewhere that some root was being detecting because of some magisk mods. If so, maybe try without any mods installed or with Magisk Core Only Mode enabled.

Have you tried to login spectrum before rooting the phone with magisk? Then flash magisk and go to manager then menu and select hide. You can hide root from the spectrum app.

Think I found a solution. Check this post out. Tried it and its working with the latest Canary build of Magisk but I think it will work on stable version as well. I did hide the app with Magisk Hide or thought I don't think that is needed either.
