I don't know if it has to do with the 4.4.4 update but when I flash the apps and Gapps zips over the newest CM11 nightly, I can't find the theme to select. The apps you included from sony and the launcher are pretty cool. Thanks!
Hey @Demo3827 there seems to be an issue with the camera for me. Well, camera/calls.
I tried to call my wife and it didn't connect, just sat there, I ended the call and went to the camera, and after telling it I don't want my phone to remember location, the camera froze and I had a kernel/demigod crash.
I haven't tried it since but I thought I might let you know. Might have something to do with the new nightly as well but since I flashed your apps package and it changed the UI and frame, it might have something to do with it.
Keep in mind it could be CM issue but still notable.

do a clean install... i too had problem with camera.. and also deepsleep problem.... after a clean install everything working fine.. ....... :good:
looks like the u can install the app folder on any cm based rom but not the latest cm based...... flashed the app folder on ehndroix v rom.. every thing worksing fine... :good:

It was a clean install. I don't go dirty on new ROMs. only updates occasionally.
So you think it can be installed on any CM based but newest? And thoughts as to why?
And what phone model are you using? I couldn't get ehndroix to work on the ls970 (sprint)

I haven't tested in the nigthly build my base is on the last Stable M7 because the nightly arent stable and most the time CM is testing new stuff and make broke or not work right.
I love to help you but if you arent using my base /stock kernel and gapps is nothing really that i can do for found the problem. Try use my base, apps, gapps and the kernel in the base and let me know if the probem still.... Thanks

The problem is that I can't use your base. And neither can anyone else that only has 3g. It's an issue cm was having that got fixed in one of the nightlies. So I used one that I could.

I flashed what you linked the first time and kept getting FC's for phone and it would only stop if data was off. I do believe if you have 4G but set to 3G it still works. The only issue is when the user only has access to 3G. At least that is in my experience and what I have read from others.
The one I last used was 7/01 build official CM for ls970.

I see yours works but that doesn't really help me. I tried what you linked and it still had FC's. I can take screenshots of everything and post if you like.

i just make a new Update to M8 try this one it maybe work on your =] you can try just flash the APPS but this new base is from M8 which should include the new fix for 3G =]

New one seems to be working like a champ, thanks for updating it. Few questions,
1) did you delete the sock launcher from CM11? When it booted and passed the setup it just sat black. I could use the settings and junk but no home.
2) any idea why I keep getting FC's for walkman? It has happened about 5 times in the past few hours.
3) is there a way to use quick pull down with your mods? I like being able to swpe down on the right to use the quick tiles (settings).
4) settings button on home screen does nothing but vibrate, can it be set to something? Like launcher settings or system settings?
I always have trouble keeping 3G and I have to keep switching airplane mode on/off or make a call and hang up in order to get it back. I think it's a custom rom issue with 3G but I just wanted to let you know.
I love the look and boot animation, seriously awesome. Thank you again!

your welcome and yes i delete the cm home for easy access after flash apps about walkman thats weird fc ill make a fix update for you
also about the quick pull down so far is not working but you can swap your finger on the top and ill switch between notifications and quick tiles

You can recieve MMS perfectly fully sized. You might have to change the multimedia settings in the messaging app tho.

The trackpad led is not working, which is expected cuz these 2 phones have different hardware.
And those T-mo things aren't that bad! I actually like the "faves" feature, looks very cool.

I got a few errors recompiling it, but I think they were all cosmetic. Push this and let me know if it works, you may have to wipe cache.

Ok guys I have been working on this all night and I finally got it going CORRECTLY. I tried to keep it as stock as possible so some of the bloatware is included some not. I will be uploading 2 versions in about an hour one with and one without. The homescreen does not rotate to landscape, but landscape works well now throughout the UI. I was able to fix the backlight issues on the keyboard and the touch buttons and now you no longer have to flash a different kernel, I finally learned how to use dsixda's kitchen and cooked it in. I still need to modify the build prop and the updater.script a little but it is working fine for now.
Has really nobody downloaded this? I thought it would be more popular.

Donate by clicking donate under his name in his posts.
I'd say don't use CPU apps. He has some tweaks in there and never mentioned anything about outside apps.

goo rom manager question
I do not want to loose the abilty to save recoveries to my extSdCard. So I am afraid to switch from CWM version that i am using.
The question is, can we use the Goo Manager to download the zip then use the CWM to flash it ?
I am just not sure if it packed and repack the same way.
Youtube isn't working when I'm on the go, using my 3g. But it works fine when I connect to Wifi. Maybe I did something wrong or maybe it just my phone?

I noticed on the messaging app that the vibration when silent option was absent with .7. I don't need my phone vibrating when I get texts with sound on so I was wondering if there was a way to get that back. Thanks.

I prefer the old options too. When I unchecked vibrate and sound in settings > sound I still get vibration when texts come in
No S-Voice options please
The installer is very cool. This is now my goto build for installing modems, I can install them at install then update PRL with one build.
I can't live with S-voice though, it just can't call the people I want and... don't get me started on it.
I hoped choosing not to install the removed Samsung apps would include S-voice but I still get it when I make a BT voice dial.
Is there any way to have the option to not have S-voice and use Google voice instead?

1. Is anyone using JuiceDefender with this Rom? I'm used to it from my Samsung Galaxy Epic, but I wasn't sure if it's needed on this ROM. I like some of the features (Location aware Wifi, etc) but maybe not if it's sacrificing battery.
2. (For Clark) On version .8, is there any way to build in some of the color/theme options from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28676439 ? I'm not a big fan of green, so I would love to change the colors of the battery and the 15 toggles...

Well, I think it depends on how you use your phone. For me at least, JuiceDefender has helped out TREMENDOUSLY. I live in an area with bad reception and I'm constantly going in and out of roaming. Having all my data turned off while I'm not using the phone really helps boost my battery life (and not having to do so manually is worth the $5 in my opinion).
Without JD I'm at about 10-15% when I get home from work (10 hr work days). With JD I'm at about 30% when I get home.
I guess everyone's mileage may vary, but if you've already bought JD you might as well try and see if it helps your battery life.
side note: I also love the night tint in JD
I've actually got a couple of questions with this ROM.
First, though, I have to say this is a phenomenal ROM. I initially flashed it solely as a stop-gap while waiting for CM10 to come out for my Sprint GSIII, but it quickly has become my daily driver.
So with the installer on the 0.0.7 version, there are multiple radios. Is there any advantage in flashing one of those, or just leaving it be? Also I really like the CRT animations and beats audio, but it wasn't there in the 0.0.7 version, so I just went with 0.0.6. Is there a way to get it on the 0.0.7 version or have those features been disabled? I went off the video review on youtube, linked but for some reason, on my version, little to no features were on mine compared to the review video. As for themeing. Let me explain how im going to have this system setup at latest by v0.0.9.
I've done some research and finally found an app that will do the following:
1. Notify when update is available
2. Allow user to download themes, bootanimations, apps, flashables, all within the app and all supplied by me.
3. Allow the user to read the changelog of upcoming buids on the go.

Now i already started migrating the boot animation option i already finished in Aroma installer into this app and that should be done very soon. Themers will also be able to send me whatever they make and i can make it an option in the app!

No on CRT, see back a page or two with a draft of the mods in next release.
The radio's are the different modems you can choose, there have been three releases (updates) and the original that came with the phone. That is what the radios are.

Are there any advantages/disadvantages in flashing a different modem to the phone? It seems to be a consensus that LF9 gives better signal, but I'm afraid for the drawbacks.
Downloading .8 now. Very excited.

Introducing
Project Bland Android, The successor to Bland Android. The goals of Project Bland Android, are simple. To Create three flavors of Android, Original, Cherry, and Dirty Boot (Sadly Name is now Temporarily Final). All work will remain open source, including Dirty Boot. Each Version will always be built upon the latest code base, and always attempt to update quickly. With the goal, of always being open, always being transparent, and always being helpful. This ROM is aimed to be a effort to help the community, and always have the community help others. If your not into that, this ROM will most likely not be for you.
Just like the Previous builds of Bland Android, I am not wanting to work on this all by myself the whole time, so any offers to help will not be turned down, I would love to see this working 100%, and growing, so PM me if interested, or just post in the thread, together, we can grow this ROM from more than a small project, but rather a community effort.
Introducing the Flavors:
Original Flavor, will remain Strictly AOSP, with small amounts of changes.
Cherry will become the Version that develops Somewhat rapidly, every week, there will be a vote for something to be cherry picked into Cherry, then during the next weeks vote, minor builds will be released with the goal of becoming stable by the time the next weeks cherry is integrated.
Finally, Dirty Boot, which will be the flavor that will develop at a slower pace, but with aims of always being stable. Again, code will remain open source, as long as credit is always provided. Not to mention, with enough request, support will be extended to other devices.

There currently isn't any audio, period, phone volume and music volume aren't working yet though I'm hunting for the reason. And I can't test wimax (not in my area) but I added everything for wimax, so theoretically and I assume it should work.
this is my primary device, so until audio works I will not be able to test it much as soon as volume works I will test 4g wimax

Well, I'm hunting for a fix for the audio, so hopefully soon that will be fixed.
are you able to use telephony from 4.1.2 or anything like that? I know hp420 has made a rom in the past and there are others, I wish I could help
My build has working audio. Took a while to get to it though since it keeps getting com.android.phone has stopped. Not sure if I should upload it and see if someone can find a fix.

It might be worth uploading, seeing if anyone can get it going right.
The GPS is checked as if it is on, but when I try to use Google Now, it cannot register my location. Instead it gives me the option to access settings to turn on Location Services which are already on.

Did you try with Google Maps also? I was able to get a lock in maps, but that was all I tested in. Also, a logcat would be wonderful to see what is going on when this happens for you.
Google Maps attempts to lock into my location, unfortunately, both Google Maps and Google Now don't seem to be able to access GPS.
Going to see if I can get a logcat sometime today. Aldo want to check the settings to see if Google's "Gesture" keyboard is within the rom and if not whether installing a separate apk will work.
Edit: Google's Gesture keyboard is not set by default, however, I was able to install the apk separately and it works great. No logcat yet.
Also, when attempting to look at the Storage section under Settings, it FCs. This is also the case when attempting to access any 4G options for obvious reasons.

For some reason, I am unable to get a log cat. I keep getting the message "- waiting for device -" so I'm not exactly sure how to go about obtaining it. (FYI, I'm using a Mac).
If anyone has any tips on how or why this is not working, please feel free to let me know.

EDIT: Boy do I feel stupid. I forgot to include a few things, it should fix most your issues with the Google Now, and Maps.

I'll be adding it to the OP once I fix/try to fix the settings stuff. and I just added the new Gmail ( I think, I'll double check this though) and I'll provide the SuperUser Zip for any issues. All in all, should be up in about 1 to 4 hours after I finish some things around my house.
is this ROM pretty stable? I am looking forward to flashing this but I know its a pretty new ROM and my phone has been acting funny and dont want to chance screwing it up!!
Installed last night successfully. A few things I've noticed:
- app drawer crashes 3 or 4 times after each reboot and then works fine.
- it looks like the 4.2 camera is there but there is no photosphere yet
- can't mount SD card in settings or recovery, it doesn't show up on the computer either
- multitasking and multiwindow are not present
- s-pen works
questions:
1 - if I download and flash the 4.2 camera manually will photosphere work (specifically the gallery/viewer)?
2 - Can someone help me get my external sd up and running?
Any help is appreciated.

Answer: Yep. CM doesn't look like they're pursuing this since this is a Nexus-based feature. You can still flash a fix for this if you look for it.

Answer: CM doesn't like exFAT. Reformat it to Fat32.

My issue is the same issue that was happening on the 4.1.2 jellybeer/bam ROMs right before the cm10.1 nightly went official, in the camera app when taking a picture if flash is enabled and I use the touch to focus the camera freezes and then I get the gallery force closed error message then it takes a blank grey picture and the camera crashes. Am I the only one having this ussue? I did a full wipe when I installed.

.I had a similar issue with 4.1.2 cleanrom with the 4.2 camera installed but the camera and gallery that was installed with the initial rom was ok.
have you tried manually flashing the 4.1.2 camera?

ya this is a known issue. I read it in eather the jellybam or jellybeer thread. If flash is enabled don't touch the screen only touch the blue shutter button. It will focus then flash.

Yeah I knew it was a known issue on jellybean/bam, but I was told it was because it was using the 4.2.1 camera on a 4.1.2 ROM, I can't find anything about it on the official CM10.1 threads so I didn't know if it was still a known issue or if it was just me.

1) Pulse Notification light (in System settings) does not work (ie. the Mesasages and Gmail lights I setup don't do anything)
2) Voice Dictation crashes / doesn't work
#2 is not a problem, and I assume it'll get fixed at some point.
And while I can go back to using LightFlow again, I'm wondering is if it's just me who's having problems with Pulse Notification light... or it's the ROM. And is there's a fix/workaround?

I think you guys misinterpreted the OP. In the first part I'm just simply stating my results like we're encouraged to do in the development forum (i'm a noob so i don't have write access to that forum).
I did read the wiki and the entire xda thread prior to flashing CM and my two actual questions (in the lower part of the OP) aren't addressed. Black Phantom did help me the SD card issue - Thanks! For my second question I was planning on flashing the 4.2 camera anyways and again, posting my results. I was just curious if anyone had already been successful with it.

Lightflow doesnt work on CM, not that i have been able to get. The built in LED notification mods are way better. go to system settings->system->notification light...

app drawer crashed for me a lot on trebuchet. I have had flawless luck with Nova launcher
Also use its built in back up feature for future flashes
1: The photo sphere is for nexus. however you can just get the library files, copy them over, and then copy the camera into system/app... fix permissions and try it. Worst case scenario just replace with the old camera again. Or dirty flash cm10.1 again to replace stock camera. this sort of thing never hurts to try yourself
SD CARD: use fat32 format. If you want +4gb files, just split them. there are video splitter apps out there. This can be annoying on a 1080p full rip, but you are waisting space. on this screen size, 1gb per hour is beyond what you need. but if you like to be all shiny and what not, 2gb per hour is insanely more than enough.

It seems to be working for me. Speed shouldn't be set to custom, otherwise, the phone doesn't seem to know what to do.
Pulse notification is only for the way it flashes. You have to go to the notification setting to actually adjust it. I set mine to normal&slow.

I had a similar setup. The light is Enabled, and my settings were Short&Normal.
I changed them all to Normal&Slow, like you have, and still none of them work.
Even when I go to Test an individual light, nothing happens.

this may sound strange but flash Jellybeer first reboot then flash CM10.1 see if that fixes it
Hi, guys, i get the CM 10.1 official right now, but I want to install a stock rom which is 4.1.2. How can I install it? Just flash the new rom? or I need to restore my stock rom back up? Do I need downgrade the rom?

Q: What's so awesome about this ROM?
A: Its an Xtra-hybrid ROM. Read First Post .
Q: Is a full wipe needed?
A: YES , If its first time you are flashing the ROM
NO, it is not required, but it is strongly recommended. If you choose to do a "dirty" flash, please do NOT post bug reports or issues you are having, as something from an earlier release might be causing the issue.
Q: I Can't see media in gallery or apollo. What To Do ?
A: Make sure you don't have corrupted files in SDcard, best way to check is to copy all your SDcard data to PC.
Q: Why Phone soft reboot's while playing video?
A: Disable HW overlay in Settings>>Developer Options. It's a known issue
Q: I want only 1 row of toggles/power widget, not both, how to disable one of them?
A: To disable CM's power widget, you know how. To disable AOKP toggles, ROM Control>Toggles>Enabled toggles>De-Select everything
Q: How to turn on Nav Ring feature in AOKP ROM Control?
A: You need to install gapps, Google Now to be specific, because it's a default Nav Ring
Q: I flashed this awesome ROM but I don't have Google Apps. why?
A: You simply have to download the gapps from download page and flash via recovery.
Q: Is Project Butter working on this ROM?
A: Yes, Project Butter in included.
Q: I'm having an issue and want to report it but I don't know how.
A: First, check if someone else has reported the same issue. If no one has reported the issue then make a post describing your issue. Don't forget to attach your logcat.
Q: I keep reading about this "logcat" what is it and how do I make on?
A: "The Android logging system provides a mechanism for collecting and viewing system debug output. Logs from various applications and portions of the system are collected in a series of circular buffers, which then can be viewed and filtered." Q: Google play doesn't download anything , What To Do ?
A: Open Terminal Emulator Application and write following :
su , then press enter and give allow root access, then write
killall drmserver

Global density :
Is the one used by your hardware configuration and all non PAD touched applications. It's the old one that you can change with build.prop, and this one can get you outside of tablet mode - Phone mode. Don't touch it if you dont know what you're doing. This one has nothing to do with PAD or PAL, as it's the one designed by google.
Default SystemUI DPI :
User interface density, can be reflected on statusbar, Recent apps, etc. This one can't get you outside of your current mode.
Default User DPI :
Is the one used when your app is not on pad.prop list, so when you run a new app that it's installed by you, and not on /system/app, it will run at this density. This one cant get you outside your current mode neither.
Some Other Facts :
You can't change framework dialogs (like when you hold power button) density on tab mode yet, don't waste your time (it's limited from 120 to 128 global density so it's not a huge difference)
Keyboard must be on the same global density, for tablet mode (i have not tried phone mode)
Disable Settings>System>Statusbar>Auto Hide statusbar
If you see the dock on launchers in tablet mode, and not the old layout, this is NORMAL, it was ugly before, and now it's preset to phone mode at 240 density. If you want to get the old ugly tablet mode for launchers, go to settings > paranoid > hybrid settings > list apps, select your launcher, put density to 120-140 and put in on tablet mode
I'm not the responsible that some apps, being on phone mode, and setted up to tablet mode looks ugly. Google is. Go blame google!
The message that appears every time that you change DPI or layout mode for any app IS NORMAL, we put in there so changes can be applied, APP IS NOT FORCE CLOSING, we're asking you to force close, please read at least!

Have a PACman ROM on the mt4gs, and never thought of seeing one for the vision
Great thing combining these 3 forms of android in one, and great work for porting it to our device
One question...don't know how it is in the HD thread, but is a 4.2 ROM possible?

Sense if proprietary of HTC and its source code will prabably won't be released. He is talking about sense 5 port which mdeejay has ported to droid DNA from a leaked RUU of HTC One.
Sense jelly bean rom hasn't yet arrived for WVGA devices and is work in progress.

Well google play and Browser doesn't work at all so back to AOSP 4.2.2
Call me a idiot my bad flashed wrong gapps. Everything works now as far as i can tell. Will test for awhile and see how well it is.
Loved Paranoid on my VZW Galaxy Nexus. (VZW too expensive went back to tmobile(well walmart family plan)). Anyways nice work!

They should work - I used play to download twitter (as seen in the video)

Did you use the newer JB apps ? (12-12-2012) cause they dont work on older (4.1) roms very well

Worked fine for me too, though the keyboard thing is a bugger : there seems to be no previsions under the input panel for hardware key settings (which makes sense since its a port from a phone without a keyboard)

When I ported ICS ParanoidAndroid, this bug (yes exactly this) was fixed by changing framework-res/res/values/bools.xml:
Code:
<bool name="config_forceDisableHardwareKeyboard">true</bool>
This bool needs to be set to false.
Check this if you haven't did it yet.

Unfortunately although we're aware of the problem, the problem is the solution: So far, from what srapped365 has told me, setting this to true is the only way we know of (so far) to get the soft keyboard working. There's definitely some stuff in android.policy.jar that we haven't discovered yet (of course in ICS you already had fixes for keyboard problems in android.policy.jar as well).
I will try completely finish the first post by tonight.

Yeah I guess, although I'm not sure if strapped365 has the same problems on the myTouch as we do. His thread doesn't suggest as such

As you can see I am on a mt4gs, and I got a PACman ROM and and there also pops up the s/w keyboard even when h/w is open^^
