Stock Deodex NE2 Hostpot Mode
Lastly, here is the mod done for "Stock NE2 [ROOTED][DEKNOXED][09-01-2014]" This will be the last one made for NE2.

Where can I locate this?

works, thanks so much!

The zip will work on the Community Roms up to 3.2+ since the services.jar is the same so far. Now S5-FEAT and DN3 (if I can ever get it working) use different services.jar so you will have to modify them to make it work.
@arunningpir8
Giving makes you feel much better doesnt it?

Just flashed on 3.2+ and is working.

Haven't tethered anything yet, but it does turn without any error messages on S5N3-FEAT 2.5.

It has always turned on without an error message. It just doesn't do anything.

And yet, it worked. Testing sucks in my apt, because the signal sucks. But, it did let me tether my tablet.

Good work man thanks

Connected a device to it... Running smooth as butter. Thanks man. Awesome Job!!

Also works on the Verizon S5 port, not surprising since it's based off of the community rom.
Thanks for this!

Works on S5-FEAT 2.3!
I took a chance and flashed it onto my GN2 running S5-FEAT 2.3, and it is working like a charm with no modifications. Thanks to the billionth power!

After testing for a while, I found that the hotspot fix does not work very well at all for the S5-FEAT 2.3 ROM. Although is does connect to devices, there is a very unstable internet connection, if any at all. Now I have to reinstall my ROM to roll back to using the WiFi Tether Router app. Ugh! And I had phone all set up just the way I wanted it and now I have to do it all over again. Oh well!.......
Thanks anyway; and yes, I know you said it does not work on S5-FEAT. So go ahead... say I TOLD YOU SO! LOL!

Dont think so. I had a user on S5-feat 2.3 who tried it and said it didn't work. 2.3 s5-feat uses the same odexed framework files as stock ne2. If you do want to try it make sure you do a nand backup so you can revert if something goes wrong.

it's ODEXED (smaller optimized packages) makes some things like boot up and loading apps faster. formerly known to not be able to optimize or theme. it looks stock but Mik has optimized and modded his 4.62b. which he states that in his opinion ODEX is faster than DEODEX (which is what most custom roms are).
now if you want to flash just nand back up and full wipe then flash the files of your choosing. MIK will be coming out with a ODEX base ROM thats fully modifiable, customized, theme-able should be sometime soon.
i have a sample of what it looks like themed in my sig. its very stable fast and great battey im using nets 4.3.4

Just follow the directions. Backup, wipe, flash. It's a ROM, treat it as such.
I flashed 4.6b2 its great for beta. But I would like the hotspot to work as it did in 4.5. But I'm sure its work in progress. Keep up the good work.

it better be touchwiz and be for this device.. LoL I dont know for sure but I bet Jedi would work or faux's kernel... no guarantees though, wait for someone to answer that knows LoL or google it... I never have played around with telus ROMs and TMO kernels together... it should work but again not sure. if you test it let us know the result.

On ICS they would generally mess up the auto rotation, but work otherwise.
Rushing, thanks a lot for this, will be flashing soon.
Any indication the new infamous wipes are needed for flashing the telus 4.1.2? (versus TMo?)

Thanks Rushing. Been waiting to try this, but didn't want to have to go through Kies or ODIN and reroot. Knew someone would come through.
Thanks, a lot. Maybe people can use the telus one for the base of their ROMs now. It's clean of bloat, tethering is native so you don't have to mess around, etc. I mean it's pure TW. I know most custom ROMs are debloated. But where TMO is concerned it can never be clean enough.

I agree, but TMO has wifi calling so that base is quite popular, but I am sure there will be a nice custom telus rom eventually.

This is a M919NUVUAMF2 4.2.2 Rom for the MetroPCS Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-M919N
with minor modifications and only the modem and MyExtras_TMO.apk removed.
I built this Rom to hopefully kick start a little development for the M919N.
Please use it as a base with which to create Roms, Themes and Mods from our firmware.
Its also great for M919N users who want a fully working rooted and deodexed stock Rom
with only minor modifications that you can flash in recovery.

Thanks for the screenshot, that helps a lot.
Please go to "settings/more/about device" and check the build number and the baseband version. They should be the same version.
If they are not the same, that is what is causing the "prevention notification" you are getting. Most likely the result of going from a Tmobile Rom to this MetroPCS Rom. They each have different basebands. There are two possible fixes I've read about.
The first is the easiest, just flash the Tmobile rom you were using before. That should take care of the wifi and "prevention notification" and different baseband issues. This means you cant use this rom though.
The second is more time consuming but if you really want to get this metroPCS Rom running this is what you need to do:
Go to this thread Unofficial M919NUVUAMF2 Working!!!! and follow the directions to return the phone back to MetroPCS 100% stock via Odin.
Then install the recovery of your choice, OUDHS, TWRP, CWM, whatever you prefer.
Then flash this Rom again.

Thanks for your help and you are absolutely correct! Unfortunately there's no radio zip to flash for our phone and I have yet to make one. I'm no dev, I just follow directions reasonably well. I have yet to find a guide to make a flash-able radio zip and honestly, I'm working on something else at the moment, so I haven't really looked. For now, the fix I gave is the only fix for this issue. In the future that will probably change. Thanks again for your assistance

Hi Robcop,
Tmobile TWRP is what I use too, though there are versions that dont work properly for our phone.
Version 2.5.0.2 is definitely working for our phone.
Why dont you stop by here:

Its a place for the MetroPCS S4
Check out the posts, including a thread that walks you through installing a recovery and easy rooting.
I look forward to seeing you there. Say hello when you do.
strange things are happening
I never had this problem before, I have downloaded the zip 4 times thinking I did something wrong with the process as simple as it is .lol
Used the stock my files app to copy the zip to the 64gb external sd card and even this last time I created a couple folders and put it in there although when I boot to recovery and factory reset then chose zip fromexternal sd card its not there and whats weird even more is I see an older file that I have deleted several times back again, its the root_zip I used with odin to originally root the device. Crazy huh I think the sd card must be damaged.

It's the little things. I had to reflash stock and reroot a couple hours ago, so this could've saved me a decent amount of time. Could've just flashed it right over the stock problems I was having.
Its a start, why im excited....theres hope! lmao
But hey, thank you...if I royally mess up i know i do not have to go through hoops to make it better

Sold my note 3 and decided to try out the G3, using the Tmobile variant here in Canada and working great! All bands supported with LTE. Definitely need to get used to this phone as in my eyes I'm seeing quite the lag and hoping maybe this stock rooted will help. Thank you
What's the easiest way to reboot into recovery using Stock Rom? Anyone...... Also what's the difference between this rom and the backup that I made when I first rooted?

Or you can install the latest Xposed and G3 TweaksBox from the LG G3 forums. Xposed is working on ART for me.

You did some good work on that rom for the S4, it was definitely one of the better stock roms imo. I hope putting a rom together for the G3 goes smoothly.
Here ya go!
Advanced apologies if this violates any rules. Mods can remove attachments if need be.
@ThePagel - Sorry to jump your task, I figured you've had a busy day so I realized since I have a working G3, I can save you the trouble. Hope your bathroom turned out well
@COCODRILO45 - The QuickRemote.apk file can be found attached to my post. Enjoy :highfive:
