Hey there,
I need some assistance unlocking my phone, it's locked to Sasktel and they want $50 to unlock it.
It's a Galaxy Note 2 (SGH-I317M), running Android 4.4.2, baseband version I317MVLUDNF1.
I've seen various threads explaining bits and pieces how to unlock this phone, but not for these specific version numbers. If anyone could post step by step instructions that would be great.
Thanks!
The instructions are listed here, keep in mind that you will have to downgrade your ROM to 4.1.1.
Good luck

Hi everyone,
I tried to unlock my Wind Mobile Note 2 with the service mode (perso sha 256 off) method but it seems to only work for devices with 4.1.1. I've already updated to 4.1.2 so the unlock doesn't seem to work for me.
I'd like to rollback my os to 4.1.1 but I can't seem to find the firmware for it. I've been following these instructions: Droid Views How to Downgrade Firmware on Samsung Galaxy Devices (sorry can't post links yet)
Does anybody know where I can find the 4.1.1 firmware for: SGH-T889V (model) GLW (region) T889VVLBMA3 (version)
Alternatively, if anybody can recommend how I might unlock the phone any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Hello,
I will be traveling to the US with my Claro (Panama) Note 2 N7100, it is locked and it asks for an unlock code which my provider and everywhere else seems to be charging 25 dollars for it.
I searched around the forums and found out about the method of the hidden menus, where you enter a *# code etc. But this can only be done on a 4.1.1 ROM, since Hotfile is no more, I haven't been able to download a 4.1.1 ROM to downgrade and unlock, currently I am on Omega ROM which is 4.1.2.
If anybody could help me out to get the files in order to downgrade, or has a better idea on how to accomplish my goal which is unlocking it without paying the $25 fee, I'm whiling to donate to you instead of paying one of this companys.
Thanks.
Hello everyone. I would like to ask some help regarding my at&t galaxy s3. I've tried to look for a 4.1.1 firmware everywhere and i can't find one. I need to unlock my phone and it's currently on 4.1.2.

Maybe one of these pre-rooted ROMs will work: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426
Greetings fellow Android Users! Hope you are doing fine wherever you are. I have been following this forum for quite sometime now and decided to write this new thread because i am in need of help. I am new to android having changed from blackberry a few months back and decided to get the Galaxy Note II GT-N7105. For the past few weeks, i have been thinking whether or not to root my phone to get better customisation of your device but is afraid of tripping the warranty with KNOX. I would not think twice if i surpassed my warranty period but i've only gotten this phone for about 5 months and it really got me thinking. I am residing in HongKong now and purchased my phone from there. I did some research on this forum and came across this thread: " http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2618261 " and would like to ask a few questions regarding this matter.
Here are the details of my phone:
Model No : GT-N7105
Android Version : 4.3
Baseband version : N7105ZHEML1
Build Number : JSS15J.N7105ZHUENA1
I want to know if any of you GT-N7105 (Hong Kong Phones or any other) users have successfully rooted your device without Tripping KNOX, hence does not void the warranty, using the method on the thread i posted above or any other method? And also, If you have successfully rooted your device, do you recommend installing a custom recovery like Philz Touch in order for you to flash a Rom? Will you be able to also update the latest software from OTA (Samsung official) if they released it? Or you have to manually do that? I appreciate your time reading this new thread i hope you guys can help me. Have a nice day :good:

Hi guys,
I was wondering if someone could offer me a bit of advice.
I have been doing a lot of reading and searching around the forum to find out if its possible to Unlock a Sprint S6 so that I can use it here in the UK.
I have been able to confirm that the radio band my preferred carrier uses is compatible with the phone but beyond that I am struggling.
Is it just a case of me flashing stock s6 uk firmware using odin or will I have pay for one of those SIM unlock codes advertised all over the web, I was able to recently flash and unlock my S4 mini using stock firmware, rooting the phone then running an apk file (cant remember the name)
Has anyone had any success in getting a sprint galaxy S6 unlocked in the past so that it could be used in UK.
I would be grateful for any comments and or pointers in the right direction if I am way of the mark here.
Thanks in advance for reading. Cheers.
edit to add: Software version G920PVPU1A0C9
Hardware version G920P.02
Android Version 5.0.2
