Hi guys,
I was wondering if someone could offer me a bit of advice.
I have been doing a lot of reading and searching around the forum to find out if its possible to Unlock a Sprint S6 so that I can use it here in the UK.
I have been able to confirm that the radio band my preferred carrier uses is compatible with the phone but beyond that I am struggling.
Is it just a case of me flashing stock s6 uk firmware using odin or will I have pay for one of those SIM unlock codes advertised all over the web, I was able to recently flash and unlock my S4 mini using stock firmware, rooting the phone then running an apk file (cant remember the name)
Has anyone had any success in getting a sprint galaxy S6 unlocked in the past so that it could be used in UK.
I would be grateful for any comments and or pointers in the right direction if I am way of the mark here.
Thanks in advance for reading. Cheers.

Hi everyone,
I tried to unlock my Wind Mobile Note 2 with the service mode (perso sha 256 off) method but it seems to only work for devices with 4.1.1. I've already updated to 4.1.2 so the unlock doesn't seem to work for me.
I'd like to rollback my os to 4.1.1 but I can't seem to find the firmware for it. I've been following these instructions: Droid Views How to Downgrade Firmware on Samsung Galaxy Devices (sorry can't post links yet)
Does anybody know where I can find the 4.1.1 firmware for: SGH-T889V (model) GLW (region) T889VVLBMA3 (version)
Alternatively, if anybody can recommend how I might unlock the phone any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I have rooted this phone, flashed TWRP Recovery and Flashed an unlock zip package which modified the baseband frequency of the phone with sprint. This modded unlock package is suppose to allow using the phone outside the USA...is for blacklisted phone of this post ONLY. But I haven't left the USA to test it yet. I return to Yucatan, Mexico in 5 days and will update this post...
If it works, contact me and I can direct you.
:good:
I hope to see if I can unlock. Any event notify them. Likewise if you manage to direct me how to do it please
Hi this is my first post here I'm trying to find the right firmware to unbrand my phone. I'm in London and I bought an unlocked AT&T phone a guy from Gumtree.
1. After connecting my Gear VR it says that software update is needed
2. Then it checks with AT&T for software update but it says it already the latest software. Is it because I'm in Europe it doesn't allow me to see the update?
3. Now it says to wait 24 hours before next check(ridiculous! What kind of rubbish servers they have???)
How to:
Remove branding and get pure Samsung soft without this AT&T rubbish overlay
What processor is in this phone? I think it's Snapdragon but still I'm not sure and I don't want to brick this phone
More about the phone:
Model: SM-N910A
Android: 4.4.4
Baseband: N910AUCU1ANIE
Device name: My little pony
Kernel version: 3.10.0-2771708 [email protected] #1
Build number: KTU84P
Security enhancement(I guess something to block you from unblocking): SEPF_SAMSUNG-SM-N910A_4.4.4_A019
MOD EDIT: Please read forum rules. There is no selling/trading/buying on XDA. Use swappa.com
Can't unbrand because the att note 4 is boot loader locked and unrootable at this time, but you can flash the stock update manually through Odin.

Debloater, Lets remove all that Bloatware..
It didn't work. After changing software to the version from the post it gear vr again says it needs an update and then AT&T again says it up to date. So ****ing frustrating! This is my first experience with AT&T company and I can only say it's ****.

I couldn't find that file. Where have you seen it? I ordered another Galaxy Note 4. Lol first I bought was counterfeit and still waiting for a refund, second AT&T being useless ATM (I only care about gear VR), third from a company on amazon with 1 review, hopefully this time I'll be lucky.
[Q] Note 4 N910A unlocked and outside USA > Can I install TMOBILE Lollipop firmware?
Have a SM-N910A (AT&T) Note 4. I'm using it outside the USA. Already unlocked via CODE.
My question is... Since AT&T Lollipop can not be root and considering I will never use it with AT&T service..
Can I install the TMOBILE lollipop firmware on the SM-N910A (AT&T)? So I can root it? Currently I'm running AT&T 5.0.1 Lollipop but I'm experiencing the Hello Hello bug and out of a sudden today I'm not able to send or reply to SMS.... I'm getting tired of this.
I really appreciate any help.
Tnx.

No, you cannot install any firmware other than AT&T signed firmware
P.S. if it were that simple we wouldnt be trying to get root for the device we'd all just flash some other firmware, and this topic is all over the forums and a little searching goes a long ways
Well in short I have an At&t Model GS4 the i337 its currently unlocked running on stock Nj4 and of course want to root it. First of all i suspect i need to use t mobile roms now that i am on that network.
Here is a list of questions and links are also appreciated as answers anything that helps!
First and foremost how should i root this (my last device was a G3) so if things are different please tell me also, I their an app or a thread you can point me to.
Secondly how do i update it to a v5.1 or the latest so updating them rom later is not a problem if i must use odin to do this (i want to use the latest to use odin the least)
Lastly anyone who can give directions on how to root and get to the latest version of android i wold greatly appreciate the time anyone spend to respond to this this post i TYIA
So any links that will work work with NJ4 I would be so happy I have only experience with the G3 I feel i know what to do with it but the Gs4 is new to me and i appreciate any help i receive/
Thank yo for reading this and TYIA for responding thank you for your help i hope its as simple as someone posting some links so i can do this easy i again thanks for leading me through the fog and TIA
@BeatnikBandit :
Basically, you're in the wrong forum. You'll need to get support fir the ATT version i337 over in the forum for that model. I used to have one, actually. I sold it on Swappa and got a T-Mo M919 S4 so that I could take advantage of all the AOSP ROMs for the M919. At least as of a year ago, there was no way to unlock the boot loader on the i337 and the only ROMs available for it were basically just skins on the TouchWiz kernel. ROMs, such as they were, used something called SafeStrap. Not sure if things have changed for that device in the year since I gave it up.
You can only use ROMs made for your model. So, even if the locked boot loader weren't an issue with the i337, its hardware is different from the Verizon or T-Mo variants. Using a ROM for a different model will give problems. On the T-Mo M919, there's a bit of an exception in that we're hardware comparable to the international variant, so we can often use ROMs for that one (9505 I think). Oh, and the M919 never got an official lollipop upgrade from T-mo before they gave up on it, so there are some issues with using LolliPop ROMs on the M919.
I'm sorry I can't help you with how to root, but presumably you will find that answer over in the i337 forum.
As for using the i337 on T-Mo, that should be easy enough. Just go in and enter the APN information for T-Mo (probably is in the T-Mo forum somewhere) in place of the ATT APN info and you should be good to go, presuming your phone is SIM-unlocked. Instructions on SIM-unlocking it should be in the ATT i337 forum, if you're not already unlocked. For example, when I got my M919, all I had to do to get it to work on ATT was enter the APN info from ATT, and BOOM I was on the network. I bought a pre-SIM-unlocked phone to avoid having to unlock it myself.
I hope this is at least a little helpful even if it's not all the answers you were hoping for.
