Hey
I doubt I'm the only one with this problem.
I've been using my DHD with MIUI ever since I got my hands on it, and the only concern I have with it is the "My phone number" problem.
As you know, we get a very depressing -unknown- under that title, and this only happens in a DHD; meaning all the other HTC phones MIUI support, do not have this problem. Maybe MIUI missed out on coding while developing/porting to DHD from other devices.
Anyway, this is a major problem for some users! (including myself D
Certain applications require this information, but as MIUI on DHD doesn't support this, we can't use them! For example, many users in Korea need this function as many of the korean applications require this function to even start the app...!!!
ARGHHH
SOMEONE DO SOMETHING :'(
Anyone have the same problem on their MIUI?
My phone number never showed up in the settings.
Neither on stock nor on custom rom
But may I ask which apps need your number?

Instead of the general Android Market app, koreans tend to use T-Store and Olleh Market app to download games, apps etc. When I talk about apps requiring numbers, I mean apps need USIM recognition for running. Apps that show personal information (such as reviewing your credit card usage/public transport card usage etc) usually require full USIM identification (your number) and this happens almost everytime in Korea.
I didnt see a thread for this and saw it on the XDA new portal a while back and cant believe its not more popular. Im not the original developer of this app.
AppSync
Description: So if you're like me you have multiple android devices and all of them have your choice of games and such. But whenever you pick up your phone play a few levels on lets say Angry Birds but then want to play it on you're tablet, you then have to replay the levels just to get as far as you are on the phone. Not anymore, this app utilizes Wifi-Direct and will synchronize with your phone or tablet to the other phone or tablet.
Instructions:
Open the app on both devices. Then on the device you need sync'd (lets say i want my phones game progress on my tablet.) Then on the tablet you would select to sync withe android device present. Then it will bring up the list of apps you have that are the same as on the phone and tablet and you can choose to either sync the tablet to the phone or vice versa. When its done open up the app you sync'd and you'll see that its the same as on the phone.
Enjoy! I might post a video how-to or update with some screenshots if you can't figure it out. But it is pretty self explanatory.

There are times where the tablet isnt ideal.

I use DataSync
Same basic concept except it backs it up to the cloud. It also can auto detect other devices on the network using DataSync and pass login information if you desire. It backs up to Box and a few others. I like this because you can setup a schedule to sync. I have mine to sync only on WiFi, update only newer changed content, every night in the AM. Then, even if I leave my tablet at home, I can still sync with Box.net to get my latest app data.
Pretty cool. It really puts my mind at ease with having a Galaxy Nexus and a Nexus 7 with no removable storage. If something happens, all my stuff is backed up off the device.
My third device, main one and the only able to run supported version of Windows 10 Mobile - Microsoft Lumia 640 LTE Dual SIM Country Variant Russia RM-1075, before it there were Highscreen WinJoy and the first is Nokia Lumia 620. Backup from L620 were applied on WinJoy and then backup from WinJoy were applied on 640 when I become an owner of it.
I never used Windows Insider on this one, upgraded by the first hours update made available via Upgrade Advisor.
First I thought it all went well, but today I can provide a list of what is broken:
Groove Music app on All apps list has no icon. App is working
TeamViewer: Remote Control listed twice. When I`m trying to delete it, nothing happens, "faked" one not listed in Storage utility at the Settings and produce black screen when trying to launch it (just start screen wents black, no actual app starting). Working one, app with the icon is just works, can be deleted, can be installed if deleted, no impact on that fake.
Many apps were with the blank icon at the Storage utility, even if they has icon on it`s tile or in the All apps list. I just reinstalled those I could remove and their icons at the Storage were fixed. MiracastView and PrintDialog still has the accent color only. I'm unable or afraid to delete those as they something like system apps, they`re not listed anywhere else.
Sometimes my phone just reboots with no reason, may be just lying on the table without any move while that. It happens once per one or two days.
Device Portal. Just nothing on the tab Home and list of installed apps never loading at the Apps tab. Processes, Networks and all the rest works. I tried to use thirdparty app Device Diagnostics HUB, it produces Server Internal Error 500 when trying to access the Apps tab, nevermind running on phone itself or connected remotely via Wi-Fi from the PC
There is an app without name or icon trying to be installed or update, I don`t know, at the Store. It produces 0x81030131 error after every try. Trying to download 5.7 megabytes, mates with similar issue also reports about 11.5 megabytes
I know there is Hard reset may help but I have many apps and games which data will not be recovered via backup, also some apps are no longer listed into Windows Store.
Is there any I can do about that? My phone is not hacked yet by now but I`m open for any suggestions that will lead not to anything related to flashing/reflashing the entire phone. Thanks
you must do hard reset if you want your device work fine... and dont use backup settings. make clean setup from start...
also many unavailable apps is available to install via My Library section in Store with this i installed many old and removed apps from store.
downgrade to 8.1.
Жди новую сборку, или готовую прошивку для 640 люмии. Или делай сброс настроек.
Want to play animal crossing: pocket camp but I it doesn't appear on google play.
When I go to the new animal crossing this message pops up "this item is unavailable for this device", I'm on Android 7.0 and I couldn't find any non-compatibility issues. The thing is is that it says it would work on my same phone but on Android 6. My tablet is Android 7.1.1 and it works on that.
Now my phone is rooted which is probably the culprit but even using Magisk core modules still doesn't change it. The weirdest thing is that when I search for it on the Play store it doesn't show up, I had to google to find it.
Seems to be a regional restriction. Appears on my A5 here in Germany.
(I'm not rooted)
Just a quick question to anyone how maybe be running Android 13 and also using Samsung gear/wear app.
Does the app actually work with devices connected? As in are you able to access features?
I have it installed and devices connected (Galaxy buds Live, Galaxy Buds Pro, Galaxy Watch 4) however in the app they appear to not be connected, and tapping connect does nothing. They do work (mostly). I am sure the app just needs updated for 13, but curious if anyone possibly upgraded from 12/12L and it actually works. I had a brain fart and ended up having to wipe device, so i just installed 13, but if anyone upgraded and it works, I will re-install 12 and upgrade through the normal path.
Make sure the Wearables app has all the many permissions it needs enabled or it will puke on you.
I just went through this with it. It seems Samsung changed and increased the number of needed permissions. Google play Services must be enabled at least initially for Wearables to detect the bt devices. If all of these conditions are not met it will behave erratically when detecting devices or completely fail to connect.
Also try a network reset.
Even on Samsung phones this app is a nosey Parker problem child
It gave me a run for my money...

Thanks, ya I did all that. That also lead me to believe it has more to do with it needing updated for 13 as all the devices are allowed notification access, but wear asks to allow access. says it cant show notifications on the watch, even though all the permissions and notification access are allowed.
