I just wanna know if there are any custom ROMs that are not bugged (I know that even official ROMs have plenty bugs) and can be used for daily usage.
If possible, is there a custom ROM that has/may contain:
1) Non-disturbing bugs. Bugs that doesn't bother and non-severe that may destroy my device.
2) Sleek black UI. Dark colored UI works, too.
3) Newbie-friendly.
Thanks again
try creeds v2 or chobits 1.6,
most if not all custom rom has some issues,
do a trial and error and see for yourself what ROM suits you best
Creeds rom
Creeds Rom 3.2 works great for me.. No bugs so far.. except for the signal icon.. (Something u can live with )
As I have said, I am a newbie. Well, I do know many procedures now, but I don't want to risk it.
@deathnotice01
Chobits 1.6? Is there a problem with 1.8 and 2? I almost flashed those, good thing I am still waiting for a stable one.
@Vikram3392
I need the signal bar. My home isn't the perfect place to get signal, so I look at in order for me to change position in order to get the perfect signal
Thanks anyway.
@All
I want to flash Chobits v2. Is it good to use? I don't plan to use any a2sd and other system related things. I just want a good ROM that fixes a lot of flaws from the stock and a ROM that supports init.d perfectly, as I want to use [email protected]' tweaks.

I thought v2 was an improvement of 1.8. If it is, then new should be better, right?
sir the most stable rom you can get is modified stock ROM, in terms of stability and overall use
custom roms have their pros and cons in terms of speed,memory usage, etc
since you are a beginner try to remove bloatwares and ad some customizations,tweaks, etc..
you can also push apps to ROM to increase a little ur phone memory
the good thing about android is you can personalize based on your taste, so happy modding

You're right....but we need to wait for some more time, till we get lots of good feedback about v2....till then, i consider chobits v1.8 to be better...

Chobits v2, very stable..
If you can live with the dark themes its great
I wish he'd release one without the modded apps though..
most stable, fastest, reliable rom --> modified stock rom. with fine tune and good modification, odexed rom is always faster than deodexed rom.

Man so far i'v used-Creed's 2.0 and 3.1 CHOBITSDIGITALISV2 RELOADED(RAM about 230mb) and Termarom v2.0
THE BEST thing is Terma-fast,stable,RAM is about 150,160mb with all apps i use and its bug free believe me.
But UI is not dark
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1520167
just follow the steps(i'v instal this two times)and it whill be OK.
Was just wondering if someone could recommend me a good sense based ROM
I used LeeDroid a while ago and but it has not been updated in a while.
I know there is no right or wrong answer, I am just looking for peoples opinions.
Thanks for your help,
Opinions are like arseholes - everyone has one!
Best thing is to try them - ViperX and ARHD seem to be flavours of the month at the mo so give them a blast

If you loved Leedroid Tweaks then go for ViperX ROM by j4n87{ the creator of Leedroid Tweaks }
The most customizable Sense ROM possible
If you want sleek and fast Stock ROM with no mods or few mods and good dev support with regular updates try Ordroid ROM{ project butter hacks implemented }
If you want Stock ROM with performance improvements use ARHD ROM without suite tools, its fast and good battery life too
Cheers guys, these are exactly the types of responses I was looking for.
Will give these a shot tonight.
#1: Android Revolution HD :victory:
#2: Insert Coin Evolution :highfive:
#3: maXimus One X :good:
#4: CoreDroid :silly:
There is no such thing has best ROM. Every ROM has unique features. So try please stop comparing ROMs it's disrespectful to the developers who spends hours to develop a ROM just to see it's rated down. We almost lost a kernel developer just because of this comparison.
My 2cents:
1. For a stock sense like experience that is optimized use ARHD
2. For a stock sense with the benefit or having various mods installed in one installation use InsertCoint
3. For a highly customized sense rom use ViperX
All 3 in my opinion are very well developed ROMs and it's a matter of preference on what your looking for.
Insert coin by far, viper x is also very good but didn't seem as smooth

Most of the ICS ROMs are based on Arco's kernel, but if you wish to have an alternative, you may try forfivo kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1855557
Guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1653907
Please read the introductions and comments in those links to decide which one do you prefer
Anyway if you prefer a more stable ROM, you may try XXLM8 ICS-themed GB ROM, since CM9 is still on the way in fixing bugs and problems:

(ii) Mutant http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1689421

Please remember to do a full backup
And full wipe before flashing a new ROM

Just a tip: Black Notes is no longer being maintained, and Mutant ROM is entering an extended hiatus (and more likely will also be discontinued permanently). Rebel ROM is the 'spiritual successor' to Black Notes, but development is a bit slow currently.
That said, I'm currently using Mutant ROM, and I gotta say that combined with Holo Launcher (free from Play Store), it's almost like having ICS

So I'm now eligible to upgrade my Epic 4G Touch, but I'm waiting to see what other phones come out this year. So I'd like to extend the usable life of my current device as much as possible.
I'm currently running Kobridge's Stock GB27 with some battery saving tweaks. But it still seems sluggish, memory seems to fill up quickly even without background apps running. At this point I think I'm looking for a ROM that will provide me with the best performance possible. I don't know if that'll be a TouchWiz mod similar to Kobridge, or something like AOKP or CM.
I'd just start trying out different roms; I switch between Dirty Unicorn - 158.8MB (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2271247), Project X ~500MB (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2320041), The Blu Kuban (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2257321), and Liquid Smooth (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2298221) at the moment, but I've downloaded and run/tested numerous of the roms available for the E4GT. With most queries of this type one's experience may vary widely (YMMV), so I can't say for sure that you will get a response that any one rom is "best" in terms of fastest or ligtest. Good luck flashing!
slim rom.....v6 super charger....thats my set up...quick and light on resources....the script for v6 is great..dont forget to hit his thanks button...make sure u download the right version of slim rom for ur device...But as stated above....u might just want to go flash crazy...lol..thats the fun part,,right......But slim rom and v6 is nice....Hope this helped some..if u do flash this combo...grab twrp recovery 2.5.0.0...very nice
Light and fast... with the right tweaks anything can be good. I'm running Pac man with comadose tweaks and its smooth as ####. If you want something stock like check out supernexus ktempleton had a good one no frills just 4.2.2 or billgerryan had an extendrom version of super nexus with some great tweaks already built in.

Yeah, jwhyte is totally on point. I'm using Dirty Unicorns and it is a must for customization. Flash chris41g's repacked EL26 kernel located here for flashing (it has a custom recovery) and install a tweak package such as Direct Injection or Comadose (its crossbreeder script is outdated so you can update crossbreeder separately). Look them up on the forums
thanks for the links to these!

What ROM are you using and why?
This is not a thread about what rom you tink is best, but it's about what rom you use and why!
This is just to get alittle info and to help out us new people to choose our first rom.
Happy writing ladies and gents!
Looking forward to read all your comments and reasons.
I am using AOKP by Task650 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2748251
I use it because it is breathtakingly smooth, has great customizability, and nice AOSP features like lockscreen notifications and lockscreen ring built right in. I have also tried and like ViperOne and CM11, but AOKP is my DD.

On my main unit I'm debranded to got an stock rooted with s-off and having sense6toolbox installed via xposed framework.
Nevertheless on my secondary device I'm on ViperOne (M8) 2.0.1 and lovin' it. It's fast, stable and highly customizable, but still has Sense 6 and all my loved HTC apps installed. Just a great ROM for users who like the original Sense 6 feeling but want to have a maximum of customization option. Another very nice ROM I tried is ARHD 10.2.
