Towelroot exploit - Sony Xperia ZL

Hey guys!
I'm running a rooted phone with latest superSU. If some malicious app in the Playstore contains the towelroot-exploit and is trying to execute it, would the sulerSU-app kick in and ask for permission? Or would the app get root automatically?
Just want to know if my phone is safe or not...
Thanks guys!

Hey I was about to post the same question about the SGS5 Active, but it pointed me here.
I have a SM-G870A and SuperSU, and I used towelroot to do the root. Would the answer be dependent on the phone I'm using?
Would love to see an answer to this!

If your supersu doesn't complain about the way your phone is rooted then it should be able to control it...make sure u are specifying explicit permission grant in supersu settings (everytime)

I don't know much about miui but...
Try to download superuser from market, open it and let app upload some files, maybe that's only problem.
If.you get error, then download superSU and then try to open superuser and when ask to give permission, give it.
Then, superuser will download some files from internet and you'll have root again.
I hope you understood all
Best way is - read thread from where you downloaded ROM, there's , probably , your answer...

Did you try to ask dev of that ROM?
And have you got installed superuser app or superSU?

Try to flash cwm from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37748247
Or just try to root device again
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31545627
But that MIUI is in early dev stage so it has a lot if bugs, but it's your choice.
Root again, or install superSU from market and try to play with that little bit.
As I heard from MIUI community, superSU is recommended.

Blocking OTA update/wondering if i can update.

So I have an HTC one with stock software, but I am rooted by rumrunner but am also only s-on. The recent ota update has been bothering me and I was wondering how to block the update prompt from showing. But I was also wondering if I could update without any problems. Any help would be appreciated.
Literally the only correct answer is: soff and flash a custom rom either sense based or not. There are ZERO reasons to be on a pure stock rom.

There is a button, top-center, that says mount R/W. click it.
Also, there are no issues with installing the OTA. I am s-off, but i don't see how that it would change things (On vs off) when you are taking the .15 update

Make sure you mount system as r/w(read and write).
If Root Explorer doesn't get it done, use ES File Explorer.
I know it works with the root setting enabled and system mounted as r/w.

I disagree with your opinion about there being zero reasons to but on stock rooted. Only reason I want root is to block ads remove blinkfeed and run a few apps that need root....other than that I don't see the need to be on a custom ROM (no disrespect to devs and their hard work)

[Q] Please Help: VK810 4.4.2 TWRP

Ok, I deeply apologize if I missed it somewhere but I have searched high and low for clear cut instructions to get TWRP installed on the Verizon G Pad. (VK810) I am already rooted. If someone could link to the thread that I missed somewhere or give me the instructions that would be great. Thank You. I know there are not a lot of ROM's but i just want to get split screen viewing mode enabled, and i need TWRP for that. Thanks

Towelroot worked fine for me. There's a thread for it, and it is WORK, but it can be done. I will have to wait until I get home to find and link the thread for you though. VK810, Version VK81011A, 4.2.2.
I rooted with stump root, with no issues.

Ran into issues with Stump. Towelroot worked fine, but the links to the files are down and I'm a still in noob territory. I have Dropbox, Mega, and Box. I can upload everything to either, with very simple instructions, or if you tell me where you want it, I'll get it there. I'll even zip the whole thing and email it to you if it'll help.

Hiding root from applications

Is there a way to hide root from applications apart from hide my root and root cloak? both are unsuccessful and I would prefer not to have to run stock on my nexus 7.
Any suggestions?

Call me dumb but why would you want to do that? Just don't grant the app root privileges?
edit: stock is the smoothest rom I've encountered so far. It's all about what kernel you install.

The app doesn't require root privs to detect root, I use tasker for automation between devices and it requires root along with my other fav apps
Root Cloak. But you'll need the Xposed Framework.
That's exactly what I was going to suggest. It's simple and flawless.

I did some bad stuff trying to remove Kingroot and have to do a system repair. Lost everything.
I try Supersu-Me and didn't work, I suggest don't do it.
This what I did to get things right:
1. Download mediafire .com /? mxzbt42xypvn2ts
2. Unzip to the internal sdcard (it's a folder named mrw containing 4 files)
3. Install terminal emulators
4. Open terminal and type: su (case sensitive) click enter
5. Now write: sh /sdcard/mrw/root. sh and click enter
6. Let it finish, there be some errors but that's ok.
7. You get a message to uninstall kingroot, do so
8. If should open Supersu if not open it and update binaries.
9. Reboot and done
I recommend install supersu to /system
Next step: custom recovery.

I turned off the lock screen and and device managers. Turn off any other security features you can find. And turn on USB debugging in developers options.
If that doesn't help then I don't know either.
how can i unroot the device?
the root was excellent whit the kingroot, but now i want to unroot de device, how can i unroot the sony xperia m5 dual for the updates store?
can we just root it using superSU & CWM?? i'm kinda familiar with these rather than kingroot
successfully rooted with Kingroot 4.8 and running well for 1 week.
