Anyone else not able to download mms messages containing pics sent from an iPhone? In the messaging app I get a download button then I get an error message saying "Message not downloaded- Generic network failure"
No problems with mms from android phones.
I also have received this error. I don't have an answer as to why.

Call T-Mobile. Your MMS settings aren't set up correctly.
I am on MIKROM 2.61 and have had no issues sending and receiving pictures through text messages... UNTIL TODAY. I could not send or receive them as it said "GENERAL NETWORK FAILURE" ... When I looked ayt ##[email protected] and use my MSL code, I noticed the MMS server was BLANK and I could not change it as every time I typed something in, it would revert back to blank...
I then found http://aangaero.wordpress.com/2011/09/13/htc-evo-4g-not-sendingreceiving-mms-messages/ and I followed the instructions. Now, the MMS server under ##data# is filled in, BUT I still can not send or receive MMS messages in TEXT. I can receive regular text messages.. any ideas?
Try deleting your telephony.DB file located in /data/data/com.android.providers/telephony databases and then reboot your phone.

I have problem with stock SMS-MMS application.
In one conversation with some person (thread) , I can receive sms and reply without no problems , but if I receive MMS from the same person, after that MMS , I can't reply anymore, If I type the message (sms or mms) and hit the "send" button it returns me a "message failed to send" message.
I have to delete all thread with that person and start new one to be able to send sms or mms to that person...
Do you face the same problem , and does anybody know how to fix this?

Does anyone else have this problem of the group chat not working properly? Im in a group chat on the stock messaging app and each time i get a message, it rather sends it to me individually rather then in the group chat itself. And it also says something weird like "Couldn't download MMS. Touch to download again. Size 1KB. Expires: ......". If i try sending a message it gives me a red exclamation point also. After awhile i get the message but like a day later. Not really the point of group texts lol. I've tried using hangouts but that gives me the same problem. Could it be the APN?

It could be the APN partly. I've seen that if I use IPv4/IPv6 rather than just the IPv6 it doesn't download or send properly. As far as group messaging make sure it's enabled in the texting app, settings, mms settings, group messaging.

Hey all,
Strange problem, I'm unable to send MMS through any app but the stock app, I've tried chomp, textra, and my favorite Evolve Sms, and people can't see my responses to group texts either.
Also, when I try sending the mms via stock app, I get an error saying "Htcsprintservice has stopped"
and I can't get into the ##72786 menu to reset anything. When I type the code, the dialer freezes a second then doesn't do anything.
I'm on Leedroid's Rom, Sprint variant. I tried asking there but didn't get an answer.
Anyway I can fix these issues?
Anyone at all ever have this problem?
