Hy friend in my galaxy s4 mini i9195..after all 30 min or 1h i lose 3g signal ans show (emergency call only) but after little time the 3g return... and i dont have 2g signal when i chose 2g signal its show (emergency call only) i do any thing i try deferent modems iam at stock roms 4.2.2...i dont lose m imei its good...i try défirent roms...no 2g network....question this is a probleme software or hardware ?? Note (3g work fine but some time crach)

I think you could downgrade modem only from that Brazilian firmware which boot loader is 2.0.
Last thing you could try is to do a e2fsck from adb on your partitions.
Again I'll ask about your Knox status is it 0x0 go to your download mode (Odin mode) if its under warranty send it to service, just because flashing don't seem to solve your problem.

Then I swapped screens with the old phone and that was the solution to my 3g problem same sims but different hardware.

no no i have knox 0*1 because i dont care about waranty
so can i flash the brazilian modem 4.2.2 on my kitkat firmoire for downgrade only the modem????
I see no problem flashing that modem.
If happens that you lost imei flash again the kk firmware your phone has right now.

tnx very much....i flashed just the modem and i dont lose my imei baseband is changed to the brazilian modem sussesfully but nothing happen....same probleme for the 2g network.but if i put another sim of another operator the 2g is worked fine....all sim of my same operator dont work at 2g network...but if i put another sim of other operatoer the 2g work normally??? so were are the probleme????

its crazy yes but for me its not a hardware probleme.bcz if its a probleme hardware no sim card can be work my friend.because i try other sim card of other operator and 2g work like a charm.if i put my dim card or other sil card same at my simcard the probleme is the same hhhhhh this is crazy ????

Hi my Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100 cant see new SIM cards , when i put old chip SIM work perfect, but before 4 days i got new SIM with new number from same operator and phome show "no SIM" , then i put old SIM ant with this card work w/o problems, i check everything phone is unlocked
i try everything flash stock rom .. change modem .. IMEI on phone is ok .. but no luck

2 simple suggestions :
1. Check your new SIM card in some other phone.
2. Can be loose connection or slightly different fit.

I own an ASUS Zenfone 2 ZE551ML and after an update to 2.20.40.174 the phone simply wont recognize the SIM card 1 or 2
I have not modified the phone in any way ( at the moment ) just firmware updates from asus no root etc.
could anyone shed some light on what could be wrong ? before the update the pone was working fine

what would be the point to see the imei ?
the phone was bought brand new has not been modified in any way
just suddenly decided not to recognize the sim cards which i tested on other phones and works just fine

To downgrade you need to have recovery older than currently installed on phone. Flash recovery and adb sideload older firmware. If that doesn't help then read further.
Backup your data if possible then full wipe using twrp (not sdcard or ext-sdcard). To flash twrp you need search here how to.Now flash full .178 rom. Hope it helps.
This problem occurred to me several times in two different ways. The first one was on stock rom without root. It was hardware "failure" and I simply removed the SIM1 card put a little pressure on the upper metal that holds the sim from falling and reinserting the sim card. After several tries it fixed this problem.
The second problem was software failure after upgrading roms. This still happens today and many users have similar problem. I am fixing this problem by doing a full backup, then format /system and /data, and installing a clean ROM and at last recovery.
I think the first solution should help you.

I have had the note 2 for about 2 to 3 years and its been working fine I have a S4 too,I swap between phones so sometimes I use the S4 and sometime the Note 2,I was using my S4 for about 6 months and decided to use my Note 2 for a change and put my sim in and turned it on and it would say there is no sim in the phone ,looking at the settings it had no Baseband and no IMEI ,showing as Unknown ,it was on CFW DN4 and was working fine 6 months ago.so I downloaded a ROM from the SamMoblie website for O2UK cos I am with Sky Mobile and they use there network and didn't see why it wouldn't work.
Anyway.
I flashed the ROM with Odin 3.07 and now it recognize the sim but thinks it on O2UK ,it has a baseband now but the IMEI is the wrong number,and it will not registered on the Sky Network,if you go to More Networks in Settings you can see Sky in the list but will not register on there network.(Can't connect to network,try later)
Any ideas why the IMEI has changed,it not the same as the sticker under the battery..?

Hi,
It looks like your EFS partition either got corrupted, formatted, or simply did not mount. The reason you cannot connect to the network is because you're not allowed to. You NEED IMEI because it is used to identify your device. Flashing stock rom wont help you. If you have a backup, go ahead and flash it via recovery. If not, try this link: http://www.androwide.com/2015/07/recover-lost-imei-number-of-android.html
(Insert the exact IMEI that you have on the box/under the battery. It is illegal to fake your IMEI in a majority of countries.)

Can't do any of what it says on the page cos its for a MTK chip,MediaTek,Galaxy Note 2 N7100 don't have that chip.
Have you tried flashing other stock ROMs? Does the imei start with 0049...?

Yes it dose 0049... going to try and fix it with BST dongle,I have flashed original firmware on it now,its 4.4.2,It did have RESURRECTION REMIX on it but can't remember the version maybe the one with Android 5.1.1,then when I put my sim in it to use it after 6 months It would't read the sim,like it was not there and had Baseband Unknown on it..very weird,flashed original firmware on it then it was able to read my sim but then had the 0049... IMEI...??
Hopefully I can fix it with BST dongle,just waiting for the updated version of the BST PCB Adapter V1.1 to be delivered,coming from China.
Looks like the folder containing the IMEI has been corrupted.

It worked,BST fixed it by puting the IMEI back on the phone,I had to type it in,now it connecting to the network,wow,the best thing I have brought in a long time.. so all fixed.
oh and BST works fine on Windows 10 too.
So Now I have backed up its EFS file and can put custom roms on it without worrying about losing my network,at the moment it has original firmware on it 4.4.2.No plan of puting a Custom ROM on it at the moment,just glad I can use the phone again.

I got it from eBay and had to buy a new BST PCB Adapter so it was compatible with 4.4.2 cos the UART cable didn't work ,now it does with v1.2 of the PCB Adapter,I got thats from AliExpress.

I had the same problem abroad. Check settings with your provider are right.
I couldn't find wifi, because my settings using phone abroad where out.
