Try to flash the ROM you're using w/ out wipes.

[Trouble] Reboot... reboot... reboot

Hi guys,
I've receive yesterday my new Google Galaxy Nexus.
Everything was fine, the phone was working all day. Because it's the first day of the phone, i've decided to let him go untill the battery is down.
But, at 8%, the phone just shutdown, and start to reboot automatically all the time. I've put it on charge, and it continue.
Here are the step :
1. It reboot
2. There is the animation with those color who is coming
3. Main screen // lock SIM
4. 5 seconds after the main screen, it reboot
Go to step 1 again.
It won't stop.
Could you help me here ?
Btw, i'm in France, with Orange.
Thks.
C.
Remove your Sim and try again.
Sent from my LG-P999
It doesn't work.
The main screen came, and after 3sec, the screen is like freezing for 1 sec, and after that, baaaam, it reboot again.

Do a factory restore is the only thing I can think of; if you have pulled the battery already
Use the factory images here: http://code.google.com/android/nexus/images.html
Or you could try flashing boot again, so just get the packages images from the factory package extract the boot.img and boot it from fastboot
Code:
fastboot boot boot.img
If that works then flash it:
Code:
fastboot flash boot.img
If that fails then just do a complete restore try use teh scrip in the package
I've Wipe the phone, and right now it's working (except that i have lost my configuration).
So, it's SOLVE.
Thx guys !
Try and remember what app you installed right before your phone went bonkers.
Don't install that app again.

Yeah, sure.
But today, again, my phone just start to reboot, over and over.
I'd to swipe and format AGAIN my phone, wich is sad, because everytime i do that, i lose all my user data.
It's strange because it didn't freeze just after i'd installed some app, but hour after. I just don't understand, and i really don't want that to happen again.
Did someone else got the same problem then I ? I didn't find another topic about that problem.
Thx a lot guys!
Céd.

I have basically the same problem, intermittently. The phone will just be sitting there and suddenly reboot. I will enter the SIM PIN and then it will continue, and then shortly afterwards reboot again. The only way I can stop the Insane Reboot Loop (IRL) is to pull the battery. Then, when it reboots, it stays booted - until the next IRL starts (I've only seen two so far - but then again I've only had the phone for a couple of days).
Again, hello all,
it's me and my [big] problem with my Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
I have my phone since more than one week right now. Every two days, my phone will restart, booting over and over, freezing each time at the reboot animation.
The only way to make it stop to reboot is to format/wipe the data and restore the factory configuration. Which is very very annoying, i'm loosing all my personal data.
It really drive me crazy. I don't know what to do.
My phone is not rooted, it's just a simple SGN with some apps.
Can you help me here please ?

Playing Asphalt 7; phone shut off and wouldn't come back!

So I was playing Asphalt 7 for a few hours (maybe too long?) and without being hot or dead battery or anything, my phone just went black and started vibrating in like 2 second intervals. Pulling the battery, and trying to boot into recovery didn't fix it.
I thought for sure something had gone terribly wrong!
So I took it over to the PC to see if I could get it into Download mode, and in trying that I managed to get it into recovery by pressing both volume buttons at the same time and inserting the USB. Not what I expected, but better still. So I tried rebooting and ended up in the same loop of black screen.
Went back into recovery using the same method, and then tried to wipe the Dalvik cache.... However, I got an error saying that the file system was read only! Thought I would try the fix permissions option, and then reboot recovery. Worked like a charm, wiped cache for good measure, and rebooted back into AOKP.
I don't really know what happend, but would like to avoid this in the future! Anyone have any clue what went wrong?

Maybe the ram got overloaded and shut it down or you didn't have your cpu set high enough for asphalt 7. some apps like gta 3, call of duty, etc. require 500 MHZ OR HIGHER AT ALL TIMES WHILE PLAYING THE GAME. MY BOYS PLAY MADDEN 12, MINECRAFT. ASPHALT, SPIDERMAN ALL THE HIGH POWERED GAMES AND I KEEP MY CPU AT 802 MIN. THEY ALWAYS RUN LIKE A CHAMP NO PROBLEMS.

P936 sudden reboots during download from play store

After updating several files and during downloading my P936 suddently rebooted as sometime typcial for CM10.1. I am on RC2 and WindKernel 2.0.1.
Now, after -several- reboots *i guess it were 4* it got even worse.
First, I got the start screen and download again and boom reboot.
Second, I could type in the PIN of sim and reboot.
Third, I could not even tye in the PIN anymore and reboot.
Forth, I switched it off and turned on again.
Now, it wants to start the apps, but hangs at the start screen "starting the apps" :crying:
Weird. What can I do?
I had nearly the same kind of problem on my LU6200. Factory reset and clearing Dalvik cache in recovery helped me.

Notice that what you're saying now and what you said when you opened this thread aren't exactly matching
Does it reboot every 1 to 2mins regardless of what you're doing? Why not then run a logcat and share the file so that we can see what error you get that forces a reboot.
That or,
Restore stock nandroid for your device.
Or
Remove latest update for HTC Lock screen and see if it solves the issue. You could always do the update again to try again.

lg g3 keeps crashing & rebooting when using snapchat.

Hello
During the last 24 hours, my phone rebooted itself everytime I opened snapchat (something immediately, sometimes after 5-10 seconds). note: I didnt and still dont have this problem when the phone is charged.
I kept trying using snapchat till the phone started rebooting itself just by going into lockscreen (after couple of snapchat caused reboots) and once even rebooted twiced (without getting into lockscreen.
I took the battery out for a couple of hours and then rebooted the phone when charged. the phone didnt do any problems and I could use snapchat (same as before when the phone was charged.) but after a while when I unplugged it (no apps were open) it rebooted itself again.
now the phone is charged, and Im pretty stuck.
Any ideas guys?
Wipe cache n delvik in TWRP recovery if u dont have it wipe ur phone in recovery if it still persists u are going to flash a kdz file via lgflashtool 2014 in download mode
