My Samsung Galaxy Note II is having the gsm signal problem... i have rooted my phone and installed a new ROM but after i installed it signal gets lost and doesn't come back... i tried to find some help and i founded the Ariza Patch method but that didn't solved the problem... then i noticed that my phone's wifi was also not working so i installed the wifi patch for that i that WORKED !! and the wifi now is working but the mobile gsm signal is not working !! then i couldn't find any way to fix that so i installed the stock 4.1.2 Rom [ ORIGINAL ] and that also had the same problem but then again tried the Ariza Patch method and this time that worked !!
Now i want to know that when i install any custom rom that has the same gsm signal problem and i cant use any new rom because of that problem... Now i have to use its original ROM.
CAN ANY ONE HELP ME TO GET THIS PROBLEM SOLVED ??? WHAT SHOULD I DO TO GET THIS PROBLEM SOLVED ???

The network problem is of out of service thing and this is on every rom i tried to fix but no avail same problem is on my anothrr note 2 and it wont work please anny help !!

yes I performed a clean install but still i didn't work... every things work perfect when i flash a new ROM except for this network problem !!
I don't know that whats the problem... the sim is picked by the mobile but it shows out of service thing and emergency call only... !!

Let me tell u its one of a kind problem
I have tried everythingg on the same rom
Efs problem is nott there its not a hardware its some kind of software + modem problem stocl 4.1.2 modem works only ariza patch and if apllied on 4.3 modem the imei changes to null and etc stuff .. tried 3 diff roms
I guess professional devekopee support is required

APN are for data my friend the phone has no service
it says out of service and mobile network state is disabled
its like the phone is in airplane mode but the sim is inserted and piked up by the phone
when u call the same phone there is pulse but the phone doesnot show nor it does call on any number
it says sim not registered or something like this
the sim card works on everyother phone except the note 2 !!!
I have tried every 4.4 rom for n7100 ( cm11, omni , omni asylum ) but in every rom i don't get network .....
some info.
1. imei is there
2. baseband mj9 (mk4 4.3 rom)
3. flashed via cwm 6.0.4.5
4. signal comes just for a second then go away...
please help......

did you also had the same problem?
If you don't have any network at all, this one helps. If the problem is network going on and off, it probably is something else for which I don't know the solution.

yes network is there for a second then it shows no service... for around 1 minute then again its back for 1 sec. and so on.
Ask the OP of what ever rom your useing (what he or she wrote the rom to my guess thay a wrote the roms to 4.1.2 not 4.3 so if im right use baseband from 4.1.2 not 4.3
And that should fix your problem as I know cm11 is worte to 4.1.2 as it works good

i flashed ddmg1 modem ( 4.1.2 baseband )... now network does not come even for a second.. it shows no service ( imei is there and used both enforcing and permissive).
what to do now?

my baseband is n7100xxdmf1 and with the last nightly from cm 4.4 I can phone and text just like stock my imei number is there (phone is working just fine) so I don't know what is up with yours can you do a adb log ( log cat will do it for you if you dont know how) and ill see how or were the problem is

i downloaded the application alogcat.. for how much time i have to run logs /or pause it? and how / where to send u the .txt file? sorry i dont even know the abc of it or linux .. thats why asking details..
and tell me if i am wrong somewhere..

Your logcat is saying your missing a load of Lib form the rom my thought are a bad download of the rom re-download it as the radio libs are mess up if you can get someone to pull libm1/libm2 as both of them are mess up them two lib will get you to call and text if you download a fresh cm11 and gapp it should sort it all out dont mod untill you can confirm that is the only problem and let me know

today itself i downloaded fresh cm11 rom (cm-11-20131204-Linaro-n7100.zip) and flashed it first with gapps and then without gapps.... but the same problem persists....
i tried flashing it both cwm 6.0.4.5 and twrp 2.6.3.1 recoveries ... but no success....
some more info - earlier i upgraded to official 4.3 mk4 ..... and rooted it with cf auto root.... as a result i got my knox warranty tripped.... ( at that time i was'nt aware of that).. is this causing the network problem?
network is working fine on official mk4 .... and other custom roms with android less than equal to 4.3...

It might be that as I haven't done that but I dont know how knox can Mess up the radio libs on you ill have a wee read up on knox to see if it can do that but I do real doubt it but you never know

I just installed today on my i8160p the maclaw CyanogenMod 11.0. I did not backed up the gingerbread, because the option was not available. As many others report I can not connect to the mobile network and would need the system/lib/tee files to fix the problem.
I was wondering if anybody could send me this files or help me to find a work around.

You have to flash jell bean first because our cm needs jb modem.

Hi, I was on cm10.2 non-p and I flash cm10.2 p version
Then when I rebot my simcard was not detected

All the starts of the sky have came to my house to help me rigth now I've reinstall cm10.2 non-p and my sim card was working again I can't belive the luck I have

I have the same problem with a GT-i8160P - no network... though the phone shows a valid IMEI
I have tried everything in all the posts here - with no success
then I saw this post... what do I have to do with this tee file??

First : Its not a file -- its a folder
2nd--Follow thees steps

The /tee folder is in system/lib
However the replacement does not make any change to my phone. I have 8160 not the p.
I have tried everything and no luck at all. I have flashed modems from odin, installed lots of roms, none of them can see my sim card and I have no network access.

Do you have the Hong Kong Ace 2? If yes you wont be able to install anything newer than gingerbread (The HK ace 2 has a baseband starting with ZS)

I bought the phone in China on TaoBao (Chinese EBAY) and it was made for Poland. It came with an unlocked 2.3.6 which from the beginning did not see my sim card. I flashed all the way up to cm11 and all worked great except the modem which never saw my sim card. I went back to stock European 2.3.6 two times and built it back up including trying to flash a modem or two. Still no sim.
I then found the official Chinese (has english too) 4.1.2 and flashed that with ODIN. All is working great but still no network. THEREFORE I am guessing that when this thing was built for Poland it had a special modem (hardware) that only works there?
Now I am downloading all the 4.1.2 firmwares built for Poland in the hope that one of them can drive whatever modem is in this thing.
Heading to bed now (UTC +8) and will report back in the morning.

You have a Hong Kong Ace 2. You need to install Gingerbread with baseband ZS. And there is no JB update for the HK model

I think you are right. I tried all of the above and nothing worked. It is sent back. What is the best baseband to ask for? I think that XX is well supported.

Well...that's because you don't have the NFC Version....
Sorry but your problems can be solved only by reflashing another ROM and/or flashing a Stock JELLYBEAN (yes only Jb) firmware

Sent the phone back. It was a ZS baseband and no way to update to JB or newer. Bought a S3 mini instead. Wife wants a smaller phone.

Hey member, wanna' flash CyanogenMod on the phone.
There is lot's(and lots) of info' here on this already, though can't find the links as yet..
If any member/s could leave the links need for CyanogenMod download, and all other links, looks like i need to flash google apps too..
Also, is the 2 sim function working now on the ROM? Ideally it would be good to be back on .41.2 rather than kit kat,.

Dual sim is now working fine but still in experimental thanks to the developer for his hard work...so u can install the custom ROM's....

First you need to upgrade your rom to touchwiz 4.2.2 and then you can flash kitkat or any other custom rom because you can't flash custom rom on 4.1.2 bootloader ... So if your device is not rooted, go to settings and do a software update... Or you can alternatively flash firmware from sammobile... Hope it helps..

Hey gamekiller, thanks for info'. That's a surprise, I presumed I could flash any rom on stock... Cool thanks.. My grand is rooted, and like I say running stock 4.1.2 with CWM.

Its better u unroot ur phone and flash official 4.2.2 firmware from samobile and root it back...because most of all the custom ROM's use 4.2.2 has their base so u can hardly find and rom which supports 4.1.2 but S there r some but if u want install cm11 based or AOSP based ROM's u should definitely need to update it to latest Andriod 4.2.2....

Here you go http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2563557 this supports dual sim functionality but its still on experimental our dev's are still working on it thanks to them.. and regarding apps just download gapps from there itself and flash via Recovery... All the best

I know this might sound a stupid question- with the CM11 as it's still new, it's still need work done to fix a few issues, my question is, if I flash this, and root my phone, as its a custom rom CM it get's upgraded automatically , when new fixes/upgrades come out right? It's not like stock firmware rooted where i can not upgrade. Right? I mean the CM 11 gets better with time, and i dont have to keep reflashing right>???

First u have to root ur phone and install latest recovery...After flashing this rom u have wipe cache, dalvic cache, factory reset just read instruction carefully and follow it donr skip any step has it can cause major problems or boot loop...No u will not get OTA update in CM coz its not official due to dual sim functionality being experimentally once this issue is solves completely dev's will make it official and then u may get updates via OTA..till then whenever new update is released u have to download full ROM and flash it via Recovery... before installing make backup of current ROM so that if anything goes wrong you can revet back..and its very lite below 250mb.. All the best...

First u have to root ur phone and install latest recovery...After flashing this rom u have wipe cache, dalvic cache, factory reset just read instruction carefully and follow it donr skip any step has it can cause major problems or boot loop...No u will not get OTA update in CM coz its not official due to dual sim functionality being experimentally once this issue is solves completely dev's will make it official and then u may get updates via OTA..till then whenever new update is released u have to download full ROM and flash it via Recovery... before installing make backup of current ROM so that if anything goes wrong you can revet back..and its very lite below 250mb.. After doing more research, I am hankering toward staying on stock, as phone is set up all good, AND not sure if I want some of the current issues on this experimental version... (Though developer doing good work) Will defo' do it when some of the issues get resolved.. Hope I didn't waste your time. Will use your infos' at a later date, when I am reflash CM11 later on..
I looked for stock 4.2.2 flash on sammobile, though there is no downloads for my location (UK) Can I use another location>? Say Germany or India? Or is that liable to soft brick my phone.. ? ? ?

Don't install the firmware from other region coz each region has its own setting might me bandwidth 2G or 3G so and in some regions its locked so don't try it u might end bricking u r mobile...search u r region only..

Hello to everyone, this is my very first post on xda-dev forums, but I am using the forums as guest since many years,
I have GT-N7100 Middle East Variant, most probably the international variant.
I have successfully installed the android 4.4.2 via philz recovery latest version without any problem, here is some info after installation.
Base-band version : N7100XXUFNB4
Kernel version : 3.0.31-764701

THE ANDROID FILE NAME WHICH I USED FOR THIS INSTALLATION :

Now after the installation, every thing is working great, the phone performance is great smooth, the ram usage is fine, the cpu usage is fine,
battery consumption is great, only the problem is I cannot TURN ON WIFI , yes the wifi is not working,
I have checked that my data internet is working, and i can theter/share my internet via bluetooth, but i cannot share wifi hotspot, as it shows error..
I have tried to re install the phone 2-3 times, but still the errors are same.
I dont see any corrupt file system, i have check the os file is also fine, can any one help me ? how i can fix my wifi error ? Please suggest me the method without re installation, I have lot of big games on my phone and i dont want to do the re installation.

I mean to say the search returns the results, which donot work for me, so my problem is different, I donot have any problem with knox or OTA update, because i did a fresh install. its seems that my wifi is not loading the correct drivers for wifi, can you help me ?

I don't know which country in middle east you are in but download this stock Saudi Arabia rom from here It should resolve all your issues with wifi.Next root your phone using this Guide.
I am having a similar issue!! Search and found a patch *flashd it via odion.. but that DID not solve the problem!
Installed Omega v29.. still not working.. will try another ROM,maybe that helps
any ideas or suggestions?

I've tried MANY ROM sNOW.. Phantom, Omega.. even gave SlimRom a chance.
WIFI and Bluetooth are JUST NOT WORKING!! Its not about Disconnection.. THEY JUST DONT TURN ON (in sammy based roms *#0011* does show wifi to be ok!?
I tried to upgrade bootloader (dr. ketan) to kitkat version (his post #5). Also tried the other "patch" on Omegas first post (by dr ketan i think) using Odin.. that didnt work!!
Anything else!! Feel like throwing this off the balcony.. urghhh

The one i bolded is your culprit.You need to flash MJ5 or ND3 bootloader to get your wifi working.Alternative is flash a custom kernel like Nadia or Agni for 4.4.2 and you'll have working wifi.I'll put links below for each of them.Good luck.

So difference between MJ5 and ND3 bootloader is that MJ5 is knox free bootloader so warranty will not be void and you can downgrade back to 4.1.2 if needed but you wont be able to charge your phone by turning it off it wil power back on.ND3 bootloader is KNOXED so warranty will be void,knox will be 0x1(no way to reset it yet) but phone can be charged by turning it off.Also once you flash ND3 bootloader you can only go back as far as 4.3 ROM not 4.1.2.
If you don't decide to upgrade your bootloader and stick to your current one which is MB4 you won't be able to charge your phone.FLashing a custom kernel instead you'd be able to get wifi working again.Also if you flash ND3 bootloader you cannot downgrade your bootlader than means you cant go back to MJ5 or MB4 it will just fail in odin or worse brick your device since bootloaders are flashed onto the motherboard of our phones.So if you flash MJ5 first you can easily upgrade to ND3 later if you feel but not vice versa.Good luck

Which Rom did you try and are you on ND3 bootloader now? flash a custom 4.3 rom and see if you get wifi and bluetooth back.

i already did flashing stock 4.3 and also custom rom both 4.3 and 4.4 but still no success..

Try flashing a custom kernel especially agni or nadia for 4.4.2 on your 4.4 ROM and see if that helps.Cause these two custom kernels have wifi drivers.I am not sure if custom kernel for 4.3 have the same.

It seems more like a hardware issue to me unless anyone else got any more ideas.Sorry
I will first go with the custom kernels. If this works i will reply here.
