Earlier today I updated my rooted nexus 7 (2013) from 4.4.2 to 4.4.3, and then to 4.4.4 using the method described in this article
nexus5.wonderhowto.com/how-to/update-your-rooted-nexus-android-4-4-4-without-losing-any-data-update-0155334
It seemed that everything went perfectly. Then I changed to franco.kernel r16. I'm not sure if it was before or after I changed my kernel, but now my WiFi will not turn on! I go into settings and flick the switch to turn it on, but it just stays grey and gets stuck if I don't close out of settings.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Had the same problem, and I found out my kernel was for 4.4.2 and I was running a custom ROM 4.4.3...
That was my problem but I hope it helps

Looks like there is a tiny kernel made for 4.3 today, might help. I'm gonna install this here in a few minutes...
That was awkward.

Devs have started dropping fully functional 4.3 ROMS for Toro.. Probably better off installing one of those..
Got a link for the 4.3 Tiny Kernel?

Just checked tiny's thread, I don't think he has released a kernel for android 4.3. His current kernel release is 4.3.0 which is only for android 4.1.x and 4.2.x.

You will need to use @Savoca 's Furnace kernel with any 4.4 AOSP ROM with the exception of AOSPA as I hear they have the still-to-be-determined fix in there. (Meaning it's fixed but I haven't been able to narrow down yet what specific fix(es) did the trick to add to CM kernel.)
Okay, so I'm running omni ROM nightly, and I just got a system update, what all do I needa do before flashing the update?
Or is it just a flash and go situation?
Thanks in advance c;

After flashing the ElementalX-N7-2.13 kernel everything works fine except the wifi. I can't turn on my wifi in NEXUS 7 2013 LTE .Anyone having the same problem please help.
I have got the same problem.
I am going to downgrade the kernel until it is fixed.

I got it. There is no 4.4.3 for LTE version that's why ElementalX 13 didn't work. ElementalX 12 works fine...

Is anyone going to make a flashable ROM of the stock 4.4.4 image for the LTE Nexus 7 ? I noticed there was never one for the 4.4.3 ROM either.

Google already did. Flashing it manually doesn't take any more time than flashing in recovery.

They did support it. You can either be patient or you can do it manually to avoid waiting.
A deodex stock ROM would be great. I don't have time nor build environment to make my own
