So I'm currently running Juggs 5.0 and using the Darkside kernel. First day was rocky but relished it and love how smooth it is. Now am just testing the battery life. Here are much questions... 1) I was using cpu tune for my Faux kernel and used different profiles for it. Since I have Gideons script can I still do that? 2) Do you recommend it since I have this script? 3) I want my phone to not use hardly any battery when at rest or sleep, what's the best way to do this with the info I have given? Also I am using juice defender. Thanks in advance fellas !!

1) Yes but I wouldn't recommend it, its equivalent to having two CPU apps, they'll conflict, so pick one
2) See point one
3) Make sure your phone is deep sleeping, by using CPU spy and betterbatterystats to avoid app wake locks, which keep your phone from entering deep sleep and draining more battery.
For better performance all around (including deep sleep) i recommend undervolting with either faux clock or system tuner. Gideon script can also be modified to undervolt more if you read up on it a little.
As a side note, the general consensus among power users is that juice defender sucks. It drains more than it saves

1) thanks. I think I will delete this app for this particular app
2)got it
3)I downloaded them and will need to learn more about wakelocks.
Have never heard if this.
Here are my stats.
384 mhz 33%
1080 mhz 13%
Total state time 4:30.30
Deepsleep 47%
Ill try a tune to see which is best for undervolting . Thanks for your assistance

Ok partial wakelocks unplugged had juicedefender at 11 mins and 4.1%. Partial since charged JD is 29 mins 3.8% and activity manager launcher .8%.... This is what I got. So is JD really draining more than it saves? Just curious.

yup, it causes all those wake locks ur reading about. No point having an app the reportedly saves battery life but really just prevents deep sleep?? kinda useless in my opinion lol

Got it. So my kernel will kill the radio and etc that JD already does and save me battery? Because that is what JD is for right? Also I can't find faux clock on the market.

No, a kernel won't kill the radio. Jd sucks, and it eats up more battery than it saves. Having your radios shut off makes a smartphone dumb. Run gideons script and call it a day.

OK so here is my current stats.
Deepsleep 73%
384MHz 14%
1188MHz 8%
Battery stats say it's been unplugged for 10h 4m with 50% left.
My question is why isn't my phone using the higher 1188 and using the lower number? So does this.mean my phone is moving at a slow rate? Thanks again!

Yeah I know that but I still don't know a lot about it still. I have to read here and there and processing time for me may not be as quick as some of y'all But what I thought underclocking was is it is going below the standard speed that my phone typically does like 1242. So it would run at 1080 or whatever rate I chose. So I guess I'm wondering is when does it decide to run at whatever MHz it runs at? So the numbers I showed, is that about right or good? Again thanks

Hey!
Just quick question:
I've enabled 3G when I wasn't at home...
I used FB, Browser and Google maps..
The battery was draining quickly..
Originally on my GNEX was yakjuxw build, I flashed takju JB JRN84D and then updated it with the ota update..
I'm using jb's radio baseband and stock kernel, bootloader is la03.
I wan't to know is the battery life ok, or is it draining little bit too fast..
Watch the screenshots:
Thanks if you can help..

I've used it many times and no help with it..
I gonna flash JB's bootloader to my Gnex, maybe it fixes something, if not then I have to use other radio baseband and maybe even other kernel..
I have about identical screen on time, always have. I don't have any wakelocks.
Try one of Franco's Linaro Kernels maybe. I am seeing really great improvements after switching to that kernel.
Looks about right. The max I've ever had on stock battery was a little over 3 hours, but only with light usage. I usually get a little over 2 hours on a normal day.

A little low on the screen-on time, but its not completely terrible. It ALL depends on your usage, really. Everyones use is different in so many ways.
I usually get about 12-15hrs total usage, with ~3hrs screen on.

If you were on a completely stock experience, what is the lowest frequency that ACER had programmed into their kernel?
I ask because supposedly using custom kernels allows you to let the tab go lower than the stock kernel during sleep.
Also, is there a difference between sleep and deep sleep?
Is there a way to lock tablet out of deep sleep?
Does anyone experience SODs using piomasaki's CPU sleeper script?
Thanks guys.
If this has been Q&A'd I do apologize, the mobile app did not return a thread upon searching.

The lowest is that 246 or whatever setting in all kernels.
Keep tab awake during charging stopped my g2x from sod, may help your a100. Also try different governors.

I'm even on a fresh setup and cannot get SODs to stop for some reason. I thought maybe 216mhz was a kernel specific step.

Thats what I am testing now. Lol
I notice that killing Wifi via AP mode when I know tablet is going to sleep has decreased the amount of SODs.
Hell, when we were on IRC and i was playing with goddroid, i got a SOD on first boot, where we wait ten min while dalvik is building.
So at that time i had no cpu management apps installed.
Its gotta be my tablets hardware then.

Could be, I remember on a A500 forums of people complaining about SODs left right and center, but many people saying that they never once got them, myself included despite flashing about 20 different ROMs on it. So far I think I'm SOD free on my A100 too, just flashed WDS's JB last night.

Same here too, I've never had a SOD on my A100.
It's gotta be something in my software, I'm assuming that anyways.
I did take a small trip not to long ago and brought my tablet with me and it did not SOD for once.
Wifi was off, using CPU Master Pro, with lulzactive and SIO.
Screen off profile is disabled.
Do you think disabling the lock screen can cause an issue with it?
I didn't know if that could cause an issue or not.
STOP USING PROFILES! Duh! The lulzactive kernel does not need profiles. There's the lulzactive app to tweak it. Use that.

i dont know what caused this problem.. well my device is a little hot, does overheating cause device to reboot? how to prevent my device from overheating? im on jokawildv3 249-1400 mhz, smartassv2, sio. please help guys.
EDIT: Solved
I send my play to sony and they said its not hardware issue, its the gold thing which connect between battery and phone. Sony already fix this and now im happy

Yes, most likely overclocing is reason for rebooting. Is it stable and cool (just worm, not hot) on stock speed?
In worst case, it is maybe battery's fault (which may degraded over time under hot enviroment)

Yes overheating does cause your device to reboot. The solution is to lower your frequency or overclock.
80% chance it is a dying hardware. Try going back to stock ROM and stay there. Don't install any kernels and overclocking stuff. If reboots still occurs....then sorry bro, time to move on. :crying:

Solid ruby kernel lastest (Not the last 0.1) WIfi on all the time, i never turn it off, only when there is no wifi.
Now its max 1ghz 4 cores on, and gpu down to 320, its very good in performances, try it yourself, and it has a great battery life.
ROM is v10a stock from Argentina.

I dont think its great. You should get at least 3 hours of sot in a 24h window. Something must have given you wakelocks. If you had a lot of phone call time would explain short sot, but your second highest battery drainer was phone idle.
