Hello
Like in subject.
I have z1c and i have elixir 2 app.
And in processor settings i saw avaible governors and possibility to change and want to check powersave governor but i dont want to damage my phone. I dont change kernel and i have locked bootloader.
So if i change gov to ppwersave it will no damage my phone? Im new to xperia i had s2 earlier.

i answer myself for my question.
we can change governors and underclock processor.
dont recommend changing govs because on powersave gov phone hangs for 3s.
maybe on other govs could be better but for now on stock is good

Hello everyone!
I will overclock my GPU. Somebody know how I can do this?
I have:
Xperia R800i
unlocked bootloader
root
Not very sure about what I'm about to say...
As far as I know you can't, the CPU and the GPU are on the same chip, so if you OC your CPU you're also OC'ing your GPU, BUT, there's also an app I haven't tried yet, I just read about it somewhere in this forums, if I'm not wrong its name is Voltage Control, it lets you tweak a lot of things about your CPU, GPU (what I read), voltages, schedulers, etc, just... be VERY careful.
Hope I was of help
Oh yeah I was forgetting something, you need to flash an alternative kernel to be able to overclock, by just having root access you will only able to underclock.
I recommend you the DooMLoRD's DooMKernel, look for it on the Development forum of the Xperia Play
jhonyrod,
I'm already have doomkernel v10 and OC CPU. (1.6GHz)
Thank you for information.

I'm about to install that app a was talking about, if you give me some time to look around I'll give you more info.
EDIT:
Ok, I installed the app, as far as I can see it has many other options but only for supported devices (the screenshots are actually showing a GPU tab), sadly, our R800 are not, it can only change the cpu governor, the I/O scheduler and the freqs... Maybe I was right since the beginning; CPU/GPU are on the same die, and when you OC your CPU you are OCing your GPU too, even though you can't see it, but in my experience (and benchmarking) it does.
I have htc wildfire s ...i hav rooted ...i want to overclock it 806 mhz.....pls tell me the procedure to overclock..
I am using htc wildfire rom ..pls help
First you need a kernel that supports overclocking.
If you using a stock Rom then look for the kernel that matches your Android version eg. 2.3.3 or 2.3.5 you will find them in the development section posted by Jikantaru
If you install a custom Rom then it will most likely have an overclockable kernel baked in.
To change clock settings I recommend 'no frills CPU' search it in the market or you could use set CPU.
Once you install one of the above apps then change the min and max sliders to the desired frequency.
if we over clock it much does it effect the speed or hardware of the phone?
Your phone may hang.
There is SetCPU for XDA members:

You will definitely get better performance and it shouldn't cause you any problems.
Use no frills CPU I find its better than set CPU, when restarting your phone set CPU doesn't keep your overclock settings even though its set on boot.
As for the govonor settings I would choose smartass2 and noop for the scheduler.
I would keep the minimum frequency on 245MHz it can go lower but it could cause some issues (lag and slow unlocking and waking)
Note: not all cpu's are capable of running at the same speed, I'm lucky mine can run at 806MHz but some people have issues.
If you notice any problems like freezing etc, then drop the speed to a lower frequency until you find the sweet spot for your CPU.
I had mine at 806 MHz with no problems

so it wont cause hardware problems only lagging and other stuff

Should be fine mate.
But remember if in the very unlikely event something does go wrong I wont be held responsible.
youll have to need an overclock kernel for that. (and a rom which supports one)
go for dust kernel or cake kernel! These two are well known for high end kernels!
I have CM9 FXP130 on FXP128 kernel on my Arc S.
When I go to setting -> performance, max cpu freq is set to 1024 MHz.
This is probably because the rom is meant for Xperia Arc and not Arc S.
Since the Arc S processor is 1,4GHz, can I make an adjustment to work on this frequency?
To add, I mean this on permanent basis, because when i reboot, it comes down to 1Ghz again.Maybe even setting it up to 1.8GHz?
Is there any other setting in CM9 that is set for Arc, and can be upgraded to match the default performance of Arc S?
Set the max CPU to 1.4 and check the "Set on boot" option. Then it will remember the setting until you wipe the device.

oh ok, got it i misinterpreted the text below that as "to return to original setting after boot" (in this case 1024MHz)
Thanks

use lupus kernel for performance..
If you're wanting the best possible kernel & rom for gaming then use one of the gingerbread roms.
but perfomance consume much battery....
i need config for use daily.......but no lag ..
i use 368mhz min
1500mhz max...
governor intellidemand
i/o scheduller = noop

This is an AOSP kitkat kernel for Xperia Z1 only!
[B][COLOR="Red"]I am not responsible if you brick your device[/COLOR][/B], but I will try to help you if things go wrong.
Introduction
This is a kernel I tweaked for RevolutionRom on Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra. This kernel is tweaked for better performance, battery life and smoothness. It works on all kitkat roms available for Xperia Z1.
It works on:
- Omni Rom, android 4.4 (not released yet, still testing this)
- RevolutionRom, android 4.4
- CM11, andrid 4.4 (will release an unofficial release soon probably)

Entering recovery
While booting, your device will vibrate and LED will turn puple while you see the sony kernel logo. When the phone vibrates, you need to press volume up or volume down to enter the recovery you like:
- Volume up: CWM Touch recovery
- Volume down: TWRP Touch recovery
GPU OC
OVERCLOCKING GPU WILL REDUCE BATTERY LIFE!
you can overclock/underclock GPU manually via scripts/commands...
[ how to do this manually/script ]
To check current max clock of GPU clock use:
Code:
cat /sys/devices/fdb00000.qcom,kgsl-3d0/kgsl/kgsl-3d0/max_gpuclk
To set GPU to particular frequency (overclock or underclock) use:
Code:
echo 533333000 > /sys/devices/fdb00000.qcom,kgsl-3d0/kgsl/kgsl-3d0/max_gpuclk
available scaling frequencies are:
Code:
[LIST]
[*]600000000 - 600 MHz
[*]533333000 - 533 MHz
[*]450000000 - 450 MHz (DEFAULT)
[*]320000000 - 320 MHz
[*]200000000 - 200 MHz
[/LIST]
Voltage Control
All credits for this interface go to Faux123!
WARNING!
DO NOT USE TOO HIGH OR TOO LOW VOLTAGES, SLOWLY increase the voltage one notch at a time for a particular frequency and do stability/testing for few hours. once you have verified that you CPU chip can handle that voltage ONLY then "Set at boot"/Use init.d script
You can either use an APP (like IncrediControl) [others mentioned in OP] or use an init.d script to do the work...
to see current voltage table use:
Code:
[B]cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/vdd_table/vdd_levels[/B]
to set voltage for a particular frequency:
Code:
[B]echo 1512000 1150000 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/vdd_table/vdd_levels[/B]
will set 1512Mhz freq voltage at 1150mV
to reduce voltages for ALL frequencies:
Code:
[B]echo -25000 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/vdd_table/vdd_levels[/B]
to increase voltages for ALL frequencies:
Code:
[B]echo +25000 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/vdd_table/vdd_levels[/B]
Sound Control
Kernel level Sound Control
This feature has been added by faux123 himself!
The sources for this feature are covered under GPL and are released along with my kernel sources at my GITHUB repo.
[ WARNING ]
high volume can damage hearing!
Krabappel2548, DooMLoRD or faux123 are not to be held responsible if this damages ur headphones/speakers/etc
USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!
There are two ways to use this interface.
manual control through sysfs interface
paid app (FauxSound Audio/Sound Control)
How to use the app FauxSound Audio/Sound Control is pretty self explanatory so I will write on how to control using the sysfs interface...
BEFORE DOING ANY ADJUSTMENTS EXIT THE APPS LIKE MUSIC PLAYER/etc!!
The interface to control the sound output is located at:
Code:
[B]/sys/kernel/sound_control_3[/B]
it has 4 control interfaces:
Camera MIC
Code:
/sys/kernel/sound_control_3/gpl_cam_mic_gain
Headphone
Code:
/sys/kernel/sound_control_3/gpl_headphone_gain
MIC
Code:
/sys/kernel/sound_control_3/gpl_mic_gain
Internal Speaker
Code:
/sys/kernel/sound_control_3/gpl_speaker_gain
each supports gain levels from 20 (-20) to 50 (+10), base is 40 (0)
(the number in the brackets correspond to the numbers displayed in the app)
say if u want to boost headphone output (both left and right channels) then use the following command:
Code:
echo "44 44" > /sys/kernel/sound_control_3/gpl_headphone_gain
u can also individually increase/decrease the gain for each right and left channel
similarly other interfaces can be controlled
TIP:
do not jump to maximum values as sometimes the headphones/speakers might start distorting the audio... slowly increase and do testing for the levels which suit you!
not all accessories will work well with boosted audio output

Good lucks! Looking forward for it...

Hello to all of you,
I have some very sad news especially for Xperia Z1 and ZU users..
But first I wanna give a lot of thanks to all of you for the great support and confidence in me throughout my development times here on XDA, I've met some wonderful people and learned a lot. I know people respect me and it's given me a great feeling of satisfaction.
I have some really difficult issues/situation to deal with in real life now, I can't keep running away from it. I'm sorry to announce to the entire community I'll stop development right now.
I don't know if and when I'll come back. I hope I can come back, but it all depends on my personal situation. Please don't sent me a lot of pm's about the issues. Thank you.
Regards to all of you,
