Everytime i install Lewa OS and choose english i have this message "unfortunately the process android.process. acore has stopped"
it showed one time only , is This problem and how i solve this !

It occurs due to your previous contacts data. To solve it, open Settings->Apps->All apps->choose Contacts->clear data.
Warning! It might delete all your contacts. Make sure that you have your contacts backed up or synced using google sync. :good:

Hello,
I have a HTC Desire, and I have recieved a new sd card recently(A-Data 16gb Class 10) and reinstalled my rom(StarBurst), just the way i have installed it before, and when i tried to install whatsapp it told me this message:
"Sorry, WhatsApp was unable to complete initialization. Please check that you are connected to the Internet and try again."
Please note that I am constantly connected to the internet, whether its WiFi or 3G, I tried both..
I can recieve messages but I cant really read them, it won't let me in the program.
Has any of you encountered this error message before?

I have a similar problem. Installed NAND on my HTC Leo, when it resetted to some sort of factory state (everything was still installed, messages were there, only the customisation was lost).
AFter that i opened WhatsAPP and am getting the same error now. I am connected to the internet, cause im posting this reply while using the wifi hotspot on my phone.
i just got same problem on my nexus one, i tried to move the app from SD to phone memory and it worked

settings----.apps---->whatsapp--->clear cache,clear data. force stop n restart. should work

i was having problem with cm7.1.5 so installed cm7.2...
on 1st start of whatsaap it gave me msg about having custom rom can create problem as it does not support whats app..
then also i proceeded n i was facing same problem.it was stuck on initializing.
then after lots of different tries it worked on one trick...
what i did was :
1.1st backup all my contacts(mobile).
2.then cleared data in contact storage in manage apps.
3.installed whatsapp 2.8 which was backup earlier
4.clicked "Agree and continue" then entered my mobile no. but,it told me that whatsapp new version must be installed.
5.i then upgraded whats app from play store.
6.After installation was complete i opened it and it was started from same step of application of entering mobile no.
7. i entered no. , restored data from old backup of whatssapp, all messages were restored.
now my Display Picture , Name got appeared.
8.clicked next, shortcut of whatsapp was created. in 1 sec it got initialized, n continue button got appeared.
9. now i was having messages but no contacts(whatsapp).
10. now i restored contacts(mobile) from softwere i was using. and now after opening whatsapp m having contacts.
It worked on my phone try it... best of luck...

btw I don't have contacts storage appliation either
yes, but contacts are not disappearing .
BTW, I use Birdiesync to sync.

Did you remove it, and have you tried removing Birdiesync to see if the issue persists?
I backuped up my contacts to SD,
Deleted all contacts,
Imported my backup.
Now it is working
But, the 1st thing I noticed, no more categories !??
Hey guys. Sorry for the confusing title. Whenever someone calls me, it simply says "Unknown". It doesn't list the actual phone number, or contact picture/name that calls me. Is this an issue with the beta?

I have the Nexus 4. My contacts are stored on Outlook, via a Google account. It worked on the previous beta, but ever since I downloaded the new beta via the OTA app, the Dialer says "Unknown" when anyone calls.
Contact has stopped
I have issue on my Samsung Galaxy I9300.
After 4.45 update, whenever I have a call I got message. "Unfortunately, Contacts has stopped "
After rebooting I have message "Unfortunately,Keep has stopped." After another reboot "Unfortunately,Transparent weather has stopped"
Always , issue with one program.(I think randomly)
I still have this issue with beta1and 2.
Any idea?

I cannot use whatsapp as I have no contacts, it keeps asking for me to back up then asks me to type in my gmail then says that phone is already associated with this account. So whatsapp is stuck on the back up page I cannot see the messages I have received.
There is some integral part of android missing. Can you please help?

Looks like setup is missing. It is important to clean flash lineageOS and flash GApps before first boot.
Or don't install GApps at all and use a local contacts export

yeah sorry for stressed out message hahah I hadnt formatted the drive first! stupid me!
I have a Redmagic 6 Pro and just did a System Update to the latest OS - NX669J_UNCommon_V4.21.
Messages is now not showing Contact Names. Most of my contacts are setup with international Codes +XX. Messages is showing local number 0XX.
Is there a fix for this?
P.S. This has changed as there was no issue prior to the update.
I am having the exact same problem. Very frustrating. If anybody can find a fix it will be very much appreciated. If not hopefully they issue a patch to correct this problem sooner rather than later.

There were similar reports for other users back when Android 9 was released (on other devices).
If you haven't already, try clearing the cache of the messages app; if that doesn't work, try clearing data and cache (shouldn't affect you actual messages, but back up just in case) and finally, try uninstalling the last update to the app (if you can) and reinstall afterwards.
Also, make sure messages has permissions granted to access contacts. Make sure the international code is present in contacts phone numbers.
I don't have a RM6 (got 5G) - my spouse does but hasn't updated yet.
UPDATE: FOUND FIX.
1- In factory Contacts app, open advanced settings and export v.card back-up of contacts.
2- Clear data and cache in factory Contacts app, phone app, and messaging app.
3- Reboot phone.
4- In contact app, import v.card back-up to phone and default Gmail.
5- All should be good.
(Not all steps may be necessary.. it's just what I did to get things working).
Hey mate. Thanks for this. I actually cleared contact data and resynced back to my Google account and I think that also fixed it (for some reason I couldn't find the vcard after I exported).
Another issue I have noticed. If you get a Message from an unknown Contact you can Choose "Add Contact" but there is nowhere to add a new Contact, only to search and add to existing.

Can confirm - clearing data on contact storage is all that's needed.
I am facing the same problem with calls. When i get call only numbers show but not names. , but after the call i can see it in history. Any recommendations?

I found the solution. I turned off the VOLTE and it is solved.
