I would like to ask how to unflash the CM11 ROM.
Is CM11 worth it?
Does it come with preinstalled root?
Do I really need to go from my 4.3 back to 4.1.2/4.1?
And
How well does CM11 preform and are there any critical bugs in the new 4.4.3 build?
Thanks
Hello! It is a nice day for my Xperia M °•°
There is no critical bug. It is good for daily use.
You need to root your device before unlock bootloader. Don't forget to backup Ta partition. You will need it for your warranty.

Hi -
I read a lot of threads on how to upgrade the Xperia ZL to Android 4.2.x prior to posting this. My phone is now "rooted" and has the "ClockWorkMod" recovery properly installed. I would say all the procedure about the upgrade was carefully followed!
The problem is the final step, the Xperia ZL does not reboot at all. The process say it should take five to 15 minutes for the first boot, in fact I left the phone overnight at this stage but nothing happened.
Many procedure tried with the same result and I always end up restoring the phone from back up to the original version.
Here are some info if it helps:
Xperia ZL - Model C6502
Android v - 4.1.2
Build Number 10.1.A.1.434
ClockWorkMod v6.0.3.0
Flashtool v0.9.11.0 - used for rooting
I would really apreciate if you can help me flash the Android v4.2
Regards,
Dennis
There's is no 4.2.2 upgrade for ZL

Hey
For the last few days I had some fun with my Xperia ZL. Installed CM10.2, CM11, then got back to Stock Firmware, rooted it and then locked bootloader again. It was a very good learning experience, but I noticed that there's no C6502 10.3.1.A.2.67 original firmware anywhere, so I decided to create a FTF file myself.
Is there any way for me to share it with the community? It seems I don't have enough posts for that...
Thanks!
Eduardo
I have the same smartphone. The C6502. I have notice the same problem. Indeed, all custom ROMs are based in the C6503 or C6506. Now tell me what about you the CM11? The infrared is working? The camera? Talk about that. Please

It's there
There are FTF available for C6502 and rooting methods all are available

I was wondering if it would be possible to adapt a recovery to be used with a locked bootloader.
I have a xperia t and in this device some developers have managed to get cwm and Philztouch working with locked bootloaders.

I was able to load CWM in locked bootloader. Glitches are too much, hack is too dirty and CWM has little problems like can't mount system ,etc.
Hope I would work on it once I have time.

You can make a thread in development section including your current progress ,where other devs can make it better

Go on, lets make this a possibility. Cwm for locked bootloaders would be amazing

Maybe it can be used for rooting methods on 4.3 like XSP, XZ, and other xperia devices

With a recovery for locked bootloaders we could flash a zip of a 4.3 rom (for locked bootloaders) and then flash a patch for root. This is the way I rooted my xperia t

Hi there,
Is there a way to unlock this bootloader? Bootloader unlock allowed: NO
I've a C1905 with 4.1.2 (15.1.C.1.17), i've notification of update to 15.1.C.2.8...
thks
No there is no way of doing it, your one of many unlucky people with hard locked bootloaders. Plus that's the old 4.1 update and it's now on 4.3 so update to 15.1.c.2.8 then after that update to 4.3

Sad to say , you cant unlock your bootloader
Well your not really unlucky because Sony is keeping updates for our beloved Xperia M. Just be contented to it .
Thks u all for the quick response...
I'll have to stick with the SE ROM.... i loved costum roms in my old Nexus S...
Can i root the device with any version? or its better to do that before updating?
