Hi guys ! I want to buy desire 816 and i have a question . The screen have gorrilla glass or not ? On different sites there is information that it has gorilla 2 or 3
I dont believe so.
But you can get a tempered glass screen protector for it.

Virgin Mobile Desire 816 has gorilla glass 2. I also have the Nilkin 9H tempered glass protector..... Love it.

I'm going with the Gorilla Glass 2 theory. I put the tru-shield glass protector ( http://www.amazon.com/TruShield-HTC-Desire-Screen-Protector/dp/B00LV83KKM ) on mine and I love it. Great service too. I had a slight problem and they took care of it immediately. Worth the extra couple of dollars.

I ordered the M8 couple days and just pre ordered a MIME tempered glass today I plan on getting the Dot case when it's back in stock but does anyone have a dot case with a tempered glass? or knows if the tempered glass will interfere?

i'll never get why some people put tempered glass or screen protector on beautiful gorilla glass screens, are you guys hoeing the garden, cracking nuts or what with it.. i've seen guy on youtube hits M8 with hammer 4-5 times strong and not a scratch..

My M7 never once had a protector on it, and the screen is still pristine.

my note 3 screen got scratched when I put it in my pocket with my keys so just because it's gorilla glass doesn't mean crap. And I'm sure you can browse through xda to find many different people that have had gorilla glass fail for them.
Plus, the feeling of tempered glass is much more solid than a regular screen protector and you will barely even notice it's there. it doesn't hurt to protect the device and i'll never understand why people like to question other people's want to protect something they paid good money for...

well i never scrached screen on a phone, why would you put keys in the same pocket as phone, my front right pocket is only for a phone , got 3 other pockets for other stuff.

I recently bought a Nuglass brand tempered glass screen protector for my HTC 816.
Forget those plastic film ones. Tempered glass is the way to go.

Its great, easy to install and easy to clean after that. Just take a few drops of water and wipe it try. Much better than those plastic ones.
Only downside its quite thick.
However, imos corning TP SP seems to be of better quality compared nillkin, but also 3x the price!
What made the screen?
Has anyone here ever used their S4 mini without a screen protector ever since they bought it? Is it truly scratch resistant?

Never used screen protectors on any of my phones that had Gorilla Glass. Don't have a single scratch on them so far.
I am using without protector for last 3-4 months. My use is very tough on the phone. I can see 2-3 TINY scratches and thats all. Screen is still great and you won't find the scratches unless you are looking for them. It is a great display. Maybe you will not face the same environment like i do here in india. So it should be great.

I just want to know whether it has gorilla glass or any other.Is xperia T2 ultra's huge screen resistant to scratches? I hope its users can give me a satisfying reply.
If its not scratch resistant then how do you guys protect it from scratches?
I have also read someone saying that it is a fragile mobile not able to withstand tough handling,is it true?

Screen is not fully scratch resistant but it is fine. You can buy tempered glass for this device which helps to prevent and complete protection frim scratches and screen bricks.
Cost is only $2/3. There are some back panel protection glasses are also available in market, stop scratches on back panel.

No it does not has a gorilla glass protection.That's why we use a tempered glass screenguard. It offers the same protection as gorilla glass

Sir, you see one of the member is saying it has gorilla glass and you are saying it doesn't?
This is the main problem i faced when i decided to buy this phone.Some say it has gorilla glass while others say it doesnt. So what is true?? I contacted customer care (Sony India) and it seems even they are not sure.Has anyone had any experience with the scratch resistant capabilities of T2 ultra's screen?
PS: I think sony should mention about the screen in their product description

In current, Gorilla glass is not a mark to choose a device, it was in past years.

So, how many of you honorians actually use screen protectors/guards on your phones?
I had a Nillkin H+ tempered glass guard since I bought my Honor 6 (bought in January). I removed it yesterday because it was scratched and cracked a little.
Now I noticed that this phone's display looks and feels much better without it. I wonder if it really affects that much and how durable the actual gorilla glass is.. Your thoughts?

I was using my phone with out any screen gaurd from almost 4 months i did not notice any scratches or any thing on my display . even i will place my keys in the same pocket .
But i think using some screen gaurd is safe .
I was looking for touchplus screengaurd but it was not available in india. I found in china but i was not sure . wait for members here to help me .

I'm using without protector one year. But I do not like getting fingerprints on the screen. I want to try to take what happened at 0.2mm thickness.
Screen protector film (front and back) are provided on the package (2nd box with the user manual)
Nobody open the box with users manuals !!!
