Let me go ahead and mention that this thing is the biggest and baddest of all external battery packs! Rated at 32000 is a true juggernaut. This is meant for warriors on the go. It has ability to charge any laptop laptop, tablet, phone and everything under the sun. It’s about the size of my Nexus 7 (7 inch tablet) in length and width but undoubtedly thicker.
A three toned appearance in silver faux metal, glossy black and glossy white.
It definitely feels solid in the hand with nothing bending or creaking. It has a nice little lcd screen telling you the exact percentage of charge left and the output voltage. The voltage is more specifically if you’re charging a laptop that has very specific needs. 9V/12V/16V/19V/20V are all selectable output voltages. It pretty much has all the connectors for ever type of laptop you can think of, 10 in total.
It also has 2 usb ports, a 1 amp and a 2.1 amp output. To connect phones, tablets, cameras, portable gaming systems etc etc.
The one thing I never liked about smaller battery packs is that you'd still end up charging them a couple times a week.
I was able to charge my Nexus 7 and Nexus 5 at the same time with no problems. I also charged many different combinations of phones and tablets comprising of Ipad 4 Retina, Nexus 7, Iphone 5, Nexus 5, Samsung Galaxy s2, S3 and Ipad mini.
It take 2 whole days to pretty much go from 100% to 0% charging various devices.
Total MAH actually charged via devices = 24297
24297/32000 = 76% efficiency of the battery to charge other devices.
Basically 76% of 32000 is actually useable. Which is a really good % compared to other external battery packs.
Also, it was able to charge my Lenovo Y510p laptop no problem but I didn’t use it in the testing as I mostly used it when I was out and about.
*Conclusion*
If you’re looking for something that small and portable to use around the city this probably isn’t for you but if you fly all across the country and don’t want to worry about any of your devices running out of juice or having to find a wall socket then this would be. It is a monster of a battery pack meant to do serious work. For the price, having the ability to charge me laptop and every other device is a no brainer. Especially not having to worry if the battery is charged all the time.

Is this thing legit? And roughly how big is it? If it's legit, I want one to carry around in my pocket
http://www.amazon.com/New-Trent-iCruiser-IMP1000-Blackberry/dp/B003ZBZ64Q
How long do you plan on being in the Papua New Guinean jungle?
My God, and here the largest battery I've ever seen was 5500mAh.
As for whether it's legit, I don't see why you would think it isn't. There are about 80 reviews on Amazon from people stating that it seems to do what it says.
Personally, I'm wondering why the iPad 2 only gets 30% of the battery life improvement that the iPhone 4 does (despite them both supposedly getting the same amount of video playback time according to Apple), but I'm naturally a paranoid person, so don't listen to me.
That's just insane.
I actually was looking at one of these on Amazon a few weeks ago since I was going to be traveling a lot this year. I wanted something could fit in my pocket with my smartphone so instead I got the Duracell Instant USB Charger
http://www.amazon.com/Duracell-Instant-Charger-Lithium-universal/dp/B002FU6KF2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1303222775&sr=8-1
Its a 1150 mah battery which takes my phone from about 30% to 100% in roughly an hour; that is plenty to get me through a longer than average days use. The only thing I didn't really like about it is the cable that comes with it is USB to Mini USB when a lot of newer phones use Micro USB. I went to RadioShack and picked up a Mini USB to Micro USB converter and I was good to go. You could use the USB cable that came with your phone but I felt having such a long cord in the pocket was a bit uncomfortable.
that battery pack isnt that large considering how much power it holds
I just received mine yesterday. I charged it up and we will see how it goes. I have the thunderbolt plus and an itouch. I was going to go with a smaller battery but figured I'd need the extra juice when away from the house or car. My wife always forgets to charge her phone or itouch and between the whole family there's 7 devices to charge.
Weight wise you will definitely notice it in a pocket but it will fit length and width wise. So far so good and I don't have any complaints. I just measured and it's 4"x4"x1.25" approximately .
I've had one of those since November, and I have to say that it works pretty well. I'm usually able to get at least 5-6 charges for my captivate out of it.
As for the size, It's small enough to comfortably fit in most pockets provided that you don't have those annoying super small, super tight pockets. It's a rounded rectangular prism that's about 3.5x3.5x1"
now alost 1500 mah? so 11000 i think it too big too heavy
Personally, if you're looking for something that big and expensive, I'd pay the extra $30 or so and get a Tekkeon MP3750. They use Lithium Polymer, and more versatile as you can add-on a 2nd battery to double size, and you can charge laptops and almost any portable or small electronic device with it. I'm not sure how many mAh the MP3750 is at 5volts, but I'm sure it's just as much or more than this 11,000 mah battery is. I've never ran mine down to empty, but I've fully charged my HD2 off it several times without putting much of a dent in it.
It's pretty portable and surprisingly light for its capabilities. Much lighter than any lithium ion battery I've had that was a similar physical size.
I got my Tekkeon 3750 from newegg.com around christmas time for around $100, I think. It was well worth it, imo. Very good build quality to it, and has many included adapters and leather case with clear plastic window so it can be used with it on. It's pocketable if you have big pockets. I'm very happy with mine. The lithium polymer gives you a lot of power in a small package.
The BIG one
I found this. 16000 mAh! 1x3,25x5,75 in (2,5x8,25x14,6 cm) and 14,6 oz (413 g). You can charge 5 items same time and it puts out 1-2,4 A in 5V. In Galaxy Tab I suppose you need an usb-adapter. I think it's quite massive, but in few days camp it's the best one

By the way it seems to cost $86,11 in Amazon.

Wow, That'd be one hella battery life, and yeah pretty sure it is real
Sometimes I just buy regular batteries from ebay.com and they are normally cheap except for the new smartphones like Thunderbolt or G2x.
There's this site that I visited where they also have extended batteries available for almost all the models (none for new ones yet). There's iPhone and Evo section. Check it out: http://www.mythoslife.com/2010/07/extended-batteries-for-smartphones-like.html.
That's ridiculously big
I read the biggest difference between the g2 and n5 are the battery life..
No biggy. I just bought one of these for £19.97 from eBay.
It's a "Power Bank" portable charger with a capacity of 15000mAh.
It has two ports, 1A and 2A. 2A is actually 2.1A, which is fairly fast. It's about 0.5 cm taller and wider than the n5, so you can just sit your phone comfortably on top of it while you eat lunch or whatever.
This charged my n5 from 14% to 100% in about 30 mins while playing a light game, and used roughly 1/5 of the total capacity.
I no longer charge my phones at night. I just charge this badboy. I've had it for a week and well, I haven't worried when my phone gets to 15% battery remaining by 12:00 due to heavy use and gaming. Neither has it ran out of charge before the end of the day, and it comes with 4 different adapters for varied devices.
It's perfect.
I found this new on eBay but you can find them anywhere, just make sure the get at least a 2.1A port for fast charging.

Sorry here's the link to the one I bought and that one the other guy linked looks very chunky and ugly no offence lol but yeah it's pretty much the same thing (same power, ports and adapters)
Edit : it's been reduced to £17.97

Awww yeah!!
So essentially this, but with a battery pack!
Haha! That's hilarious but don't think that would be necessary since it fully charges in no time at all lmao

Hello everyone,
I hope to buy a power bank for my new Nexus 5.
I have made many search and I found that all power bank provide more that 1.2 A as output.
I noticed that the Nexus 5 official charger provide 1.2 A as output. So if I will buy a power bank that provides 2A or 3A, this will make problems for the phone battery ??
It is real that the important amperage charge the phone very fast, but this will not make problems for the battery ??
Ive got problems with the nexus 5's battery life aswell.
Now I'm using franco kernel and greenify and some other simple battery saving methods (no vibrate on key press, ...)
Feels like my battery life tripled it's juice!

Power supply life is an issue for everyone modern touch screen phones, besides the Nexus 5. Handsets increasingly becoming thinner, displays pack in additional pixels than ever, mobile systems are getting more source intensive, and battery power technology basically can’t sustain. The issue is additional evident using some smartphones than it's in some others, however, and the actual Nexus 5 confirms itself on the list of worst performers we've got tested lately with regards to battery lifetime.
The best feature I have ever had on a smartphone was a power saving feature from the HTC one.
So simple but amazing at saving battery life.
It turned off the data connection when you were not using it.
So simple.

Proper testing conditions disagrees with you. You'd be hard pressed to find a more efficient quad core 2300 mAh phone ever made. The G2's 3000 mAh it can not match though.

There is another review on this product here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2691665 but this is my take on this product.
I wasn’t expecting too much from this battery pack (with all the competition out there) but when I actually received it and put it to use, I was very pleasantly surprised. Everything from the fit and finish, size, performance, accessories and packaging was great.
You can tell a lot of thought went into this product. It comes with a flat style micro USB cable which helps prevent tangling. It was a nice length too as this was one problem that I found with other cables that were provided by other companies. It also comes with two different types of carrying bags/pouch. Who can forget the color on this thing? Mine was the bright apple/green color and I actually liked it. With all the bland colors (black and white) that other companies offered, the color options offered by Lepow was a breath of fresh air. It screams to everyone, “Hey, look what I have.”
Performance wise, this product performed as expected per the listed specifications. It has 2 output modes, Ultra Mode and Fast Mode. Using a USB Power Meter reader, the outputs that showed on the meter was .85A for Ultra and .72A for Fast Mode. This translated to charging times of my N5 phone from 20% to 79% in 60 mins and 100% in 93 mins in Ultra Mode. For Fast Mode, in 60 mins it went from 20% to 74% charged and 103 mins to charge my phone to 100%. These tests were performed 3 times each and was pretty consistent. This isn’t the fastest battery pack out there as a different brand charged my phone from 20% to 92% in 60 mins and 100% in 72 mins.
Efficiency wise, this battery pack was able to charge my phone (2300mAh battery size) a full 3 times (from 20% - 100%) before it needed a charge itself. This was excellent because another brand with the same 6000mAh rating was only able to charge my phone 2.25 times.
Measuring 3.2 x 3.2 x 0.8 inches and weighing 9.6 ounces, this battery pack takes up minimal space. It accompanies me to work every day as I am in meetings all the time. It is easy enough to just pop this thing out on the table and charge my phone up while the meeting is going on. I’ve gotten many comments when I do this, all to the extent of how cool this thing is and that they need to get one too.
Last but not least, price point. We all want to pay the lowest that we can for good quality, dependable products. At $19.99 that this is currently selling on Amazon, it is a steal. Compare this to the other major brands with the same mAh rating ($29.99, $37.99), the Lepow Moonstone performed just as good, but at the same time being less expensive!
If there was one thing that could be improved upon for this product, it would be a built in micro usb cable. This would make it so much easier for the user since that would eliminate the need to carry one around.
All in all, this is a great product and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a very efficient portable battery pack. Combine that with the lower price point, included accessories and the cool colors that are offered, you can’t go wrong.
If anyone wants to know more about this company, I found their website: http://www.lepowglobal.com/

On to the pics for size comparison to my N5:
I use the same and have found it to really be a very good product :good:

Let me go ahead and mention that this thing is a beast. Rated at 23000 is just ridiculous. This is meant for true traveling warriors. This thing has ability to charge you’re laptop, tablet, phone and pretty much anything else you could think of. It’s about the size of my Nexus 7 (7 inch tablet).
It has a nice two toned appearance. A faux brushed metal look and a glossy finish. It has a good look to it and feels like a premium product

The thing about smaller capacity battery packs is that you end up charging the thing fairly often if you use it a lot. With this….you probably would charge it once a week and that’s with super heavy use throughout the week.
It took 2 whole days to pretty much go from 100% to 0% charging various devices.
Nexus 5 – 63% > 100% = 851mah
Nexus 7 – 89% > 100% = 435mah
Ipad 4 – 52% > 100% = 5548mah
Nexus 5 – 89% >100% = 253mah
Ipad 4 – 87% >100% = 1502mah
Nexus 5 – 58%>100% = 966mah
Nexus 7 – 88%>100% = 474mah
Ipad 4 -59%>100% = 4739mah
Nexus 5 -0%>65% = 1495mah
Nexus 7 – 85%> 100% = 592mah
Ipad 4 – 86%>100% = 1618mah
Total MAH actually charged via devices = 18473
18473/23000 = 80% efficiency of the battery to charge other devices.
Basically 80% of 23000mah is actually useable. Which is a really good % compared to other external battery packs.
Also, it was able to charge my Lenovo Y510p laptop no problem but I didn’t use it in the testing as I mostly used it when I was out and about.
Conclusion
If you’re looking for something that small and portable to use around the city this probably isn’t for you but if you fly all across the country and don’t want to worry about any of your devices running out of juice or having to find a wall socket then this would be. This is a remarkable battery and has to easily be one of RAVPower’s best products!
When you open the fancy packaging, you find the battery lying in a trey-type box that lifts out of the whole thing. Looking at the pictures I have posted will help you see what I am talking about. There is a thin sheet of plastic on glossy finish of the battery which is on its back. When you lift out the trey, you find an AC Adapter with the plug for your country that hooks onto it. You also find these things:
-Two USB charging cables (you plug in the tip you desire to charge the certain device)
-Four USB charging tips (Samsung Tablet, micro-USB, etc.)
-One DC Charging Cable
-Ten laptop tips for various types of laptops (Dell, HP, etc.)
-A Grey Carrying Pouch
-An Instruction Manual
First Impressions: The packaging blew me away! They’ve packaged it as if it is a phone or tablet. This is truly high-end. The battery itself has a really nice aluminum-type finish on the front and a smooth, glossy finish on the back. The back has a thin sheet of plastic covering it that you peel off. The LCD screen also has a thin sheet of plastic. The black colors along with the brilliant RAVPower logo compliment the battery quite nicely. Pressing the power button illuminates the brilliant LCD screen which has a battery icon, capacity (exact), USB output indicator, Power Icon, and Output Voltage. The battery feels really nice and already feels like it is worth what it is sold for. The battery does feel heavy, but be realistic. This can charge your laptop and cellular devices simultaneously! Also, it’s 23000mAh!! Of course it’ll have some weight. The battery comes partially charged.
After charging the battery up to 100%, I decided to run a test. I was watching a show on Hulu and my laptop’s battery was at 48%. I plugged in the external battery and started charging my HP Pavilion dv6-3257cl Entertainment Notebook. I also plugged in my Samsung Galaxy S3 while it was at 8%. I left these devices plugged in for fifty minutes and I continued watching the show on Hulu the whole time. The laptop went from 48% all the way to 84%. My phone went from 8% to 67%. The external battery went from 100% to 45%. Keep in mind that I was heavily using my laptop while it was being charged, so that is why the battery went down fairly quickly. From these results, you can see that the battery did pretty good! If you were to charge your laptop with the external battery when you weren’t using it, you would have more juice left in the external battery when you finish. I HIGHLY recommend using the cables that came with the product to charge your cellular devices for best results in both efficiency and charge time. Having the external battery charge only my phone makes it charge it really fast! This is a really well-built and high-quality battery!
This would be great for students, people that work on laptops, and people that travel. Just about anyone who owns a laptop needs to have this battery. It can truly be a life-saver while you are on a plane, or a train, or even in the car. Let’s say you have to type an essay or type up something for your boss and your laptop dies. This battery will save you and your device’s life.
Overall, this battery is amazing! I will definitely be using this frequently. I can’t imagine how I have survived without this. I would have to carry my long charger for my laptop with its power brick and everything. Comparing this to other batteries, RAVPower has them beat in both quality and price. Having the nice carrying pouch is also a huge bonus. I can’t think of anything I didn’t like except for having to use the cables that came with the battery to charge my phone. This isn’t a huge deal. Other, than that, this battery is pretty nice and I highly recommend it!
I was supplied a unit for testing purposes and I promised to provide a completely honest and fair review.
Unfortunately, I cannot post the link to this product on Amazon because posting commercial links is forbidden, but you can find it on Amazon by searching for the product's name that is in the title of this thread. Thanks!
