Hello,
I'm looking for a good micro USB cables for Android debugging.
need to buy online few cables, the problem is that so far, all the cables I bought online, including OEM (who know what it's really mean) didn't work well.
So I'll be happy to get some recommendation on specific cable / seller ..
Thanks.
Unless the original cable doesn't approach?

Hi,
Is it possible to upgrade my imate jasjar using an ordinary USB B-type cable? The cable is used for my camera, and it plugs in my jasjar. Also,I tryed activesync with it, and it worked flawlessly. Why am I asking this is that the original cable is not with me right now ,and I wanted to know before I try to erase my ROM and upgrade my phone.
Thnx
everything should be fine, i cant see why there would be any issues, ive used 3/4 different cables now, depending on what pc im using, and ive rom upgraded on all of em, no issues
Thnx for the reply, but were those cables different activesync cables or just normal mini USB cables (like a cable that came with your camera,scanner..etc)? I just want to be sure as you didnt note from where did you get those cables. Thanx
I've lost track of where my originally supplied USB cable is - I've updated ROMs in a couple of places (home/work/etc) with different cables purchased from eBay as simply "USB A to USB B Mini" cables, so you should be fine with any cable that works to sync.
Cheers,
Steve.

Yup - I've used a cable from another source with no issues whatsoever. USB cables are a standard item, there's nothing special about them (apart from some are more physically robust than others).
I've purchased two new USB cables and noticed that they charge the phone EXTREMELY slowly, not just when connected to a USB port but even when they are connected directly to the HTC charger!
Are they faulty cables or does one need to purchase specific HTC cables?
I'd love responses before I waste more money!
Thnx a million!
I've purchased a non-HTC cable that charges the device as normal. So you don't need HTC-made cables...
Make sure it's a 5-pin micro-USB...
any suggestions for picking up cheap cables?
... an ordinary usb cable to be able to connect it to my notebook ? The proprietary cable is much more expensive and hard to find
AFAIK, the connection kit provides host mode, so the answer is no.
Also, you'd need a double male A cable, which are also relatively hard to find.
I have bought 4 cables (USB to Samsung Connector) at various times from Amazon and never paid more than £4 ($6).
Just check out the comments from other buyers regarding build quality as it can be variable, but all have worked fine.
I am planning to buy the Nexus 5 X so I am buying cases and cables, I need a little help from the community. I will provide a link to a Xiaomi USB Type C adapter.

Is it safe do plug it no my original LG micro USB cable I have? I have an original cable of the LG G3 an the cable from Nexus 5 2013. Wil it damage my Nexus 5X?
The seller has a 100% feedback score and a considerable amount of shipped adapters.
Thanks in advance.
I would use a adapter for data and power charging but I wouldn't be confident at flashing till you know it's safe,
Since its official it should be fine, I got cheap generic ones for my cables. It's only charging so its fine
Hi,
Got my Pixel2XL, love it!
But 1 strange thing, I had the Nexus 6P before and a few cables some that I got in it's package and some that I bought (USB-A to USB-C) all work both for charging and for data transfer (more important for me adb and fastboot) except 1 cable, let's call it ORANGE (since it's color) that only worked for charging.
When I connect my Pixel2XL none of those cables work for data, only for charging! the PC doesn't recognize anything in device manager and the phone doesn't show any option and only charging. that is regardless of the cables or ports and even tried on another PC with same cables. same with USB debugging enabled and disabled.
BUT, when I connect ORANGE it works! now the strange part is that some of my cables are high quality and even pretty good companies like Choetech (if I wrote correctly) and the ORANGE, is some lame cable from Aliexpress.
So I wonder if maybe there are few standards that are supported/not supported on the Pixel2XL? or how do I buy now cables? same was when I tried an older USB-A to MicroUSB with an USB-C adapter.
I couldn't find any official data by Google.
Please assist, Thanks.

Have you rebooted the Pixel?
When I first got mine and I set it up and I finally wanted to copy over my ringtones, my laptop and PC wouldn't detect the Pixel. It would make a ding sound then go back to Charging. I then rebooted for the first time and then it worked.
Ok, seems that my "high quality" cables wasn't so good.
It seems that 1 of them wasn't choetech and the other that I though came with the Nexus 6P was something I got from the store since in those days they provided the n6p with a different charger (they couldn't deliver US plug chargers than)
after I found the box of the n6p I found the short USB-A to USB-C cable and it works both for data and for charging!
Thanks for all the help and everything, it was my mistake and a big learning curve of why cheap cables won't work.
I still wonder how does the phone know which one is good or not.
