Right, I have heard before about rom that was banned in xda because copying others rom and put their own name on it or was it team that work outside of xda maybe? Might try it, after a review . . . maybe .
I thought that was BAM ?? I dunno no more lol but if it is I'm sure this will get closed

Well my review is that it runs pretty good but issues with games like Clash of Clans but so does The other roms like I stated above Cm 11 3.4 kernel RC3 by miroslav_mm still best so far tho I think.
Sent from my LG-P930 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
That's not what i meant, what I meant is developer that active outside xda like hoangnova or maybe some other developer that does rely not on xda. Wonder why they wont create an account and just create a thread in xda .
Ya I never really paid attention to who made it. I was googling carbon ROM & found that link. It seems Notzippyy I think it is will b doing some things shortly

miroslav_mm's kernel
Know if miroslav_mm will release a kernel only install file? I tried to ask him in his forum but I don't have permission to post in dev forums yet. I tried installing his rom both RC2 and RC3 and it bootlooped at the LG logo. I can install CM11 nightly with no problem.

UVLI4 and instructions may be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1895400
You can just do gapps if you like. Instructions on rom update maybe found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2143784
Flashing UVLI4 is done in the same way as jb 4.2.1 and gapps 12.12.12 though. So if you want clearer calls and faster gps locking you can do it. OTH, if you're happy with your radio's performance as it's not required. YMMV.

Seeing how your just getting started on this one, you're welcome to follow leebert's suggestion to start over and see if that doesn't solve the problem. Sometimes its the best way. And if you follow the instructions, I linked to earlier you're pretty much guaranteed success.
On a second attempt, I would at least:
Wipe dalvik -> Wipe cache -> Flash UVLI4 -> Flash JB ROM -> Flash gapps -> Fix permissions
Reboot -> Cross fingers -> Let sit for at least 10 min
On a third attempt, I'd read & follow these instructions to the letter:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2143784

I never used a zip. I just used the script. If anyone wants to you could try to run it as a init.d script. That is if there's a kernel that supports it.

That zip will install a script into the etc/init.d directory which will run at startup as you mention if the kernel supports it.

Here it is. Please feel free to leave comments or ask questions. Nova is the default launcher and the DPI I set lower than the stock value so you can edit the dock properties in the launcher settings. Cheers
Instructions:
-Download .zip
-Backup
-Full wipe (dalvik , cache, system, factory data reset)
-Flash
-Install gapps from pre installed goo (for some reason it defaults to 4.1.2 so make sure you get 4.3 gapps. I'll post a link to those shortly.)

I tried this and it comes up that it cannot find a network as I can only connect to HSPA AWS on Wind in Canada, I am guessing there is no other fix right now?
Im with wind mobile as well as after flashing the rom and modem I get the same signal as always. Now heres my prob, I flashed the rom then the moden, rebooted and everything was fine. I then installed the devil kernel and the update and now Im getting force closes. Rebooted and wiped all and still the same thing.
Did I mess something up here?
the title says it all Lol let me know what ROM you think is the most bad ass ROM for the OG e980 also what kernal your running with it thanks guys!!

Latest Beanstalk with everything functional + multiwindow!!!!
also running that kernel from the general section..I think the post starts with 4.4/4.3 best kernel for overclocking/underclocking + fauxsound which is like beats audio on steroids.
-check these out and let me know what you think
I second Beanstalk. Its a beast. I'm just running the stock CM kernel that comes with it, and I have zero complaints.

v17 cpuquiet for 4.4. v18 has nasty battery drain due to the kernel always resetting the MINIMUM frequency to 918MHz.
BAM is awesome and can be downloaded via BAM Updater on the Play Store.
BAM was banned from XDA from steal other people's stuff and not giving credit (I think).
If you're a fan of emulators, BAM is the best choice as it leaves you with more free RAM than any other ROM available for the OGP.

Sounds like you got a bootloop? I've had my fair share don't worry.
Follow these steps exactly as said and when using LG Flash tools turn of your Internet use serial 39B0-IH19-4UAO-G6T8 and set the date on your pc to 2005

After your back to stock just root your phone install cwm from freegee playstore app and Install beanstalk from there. it WILL work cuz it's a clean install. Then install the lokified twrp from earlier to install the kernel and everything else.
