Maybe try importing the video into a video editing app, export from there and then send to Instagram? I've messed around with Kinemaster before, and it allowed me to import a slow motion vid. But, I think exported videos from Kinemaster will have a watermark near the bottom right of the video unless you pay for Pro. There's also VivaVideo and VideoShow.
Still have the problem.

Did you try these tips for the camera?

Read down the first post and you'll see the video recording section. Basicly you have to kill all tasks before filming.

Doubt it, you'd have better results using a video editor to make it slow motion.

Doubtful, you'd be better off taking normal 720p video and putting it in a video editor program and adding slow mo like that. Even $300 Point and shoot cameras that have the option of taking slow mo lower the resolution to something like 3-5 MP's and the XP camera isn't really that good.

I doubt it,but even if it was, the video would be extremely dark and blurry
picture or video?
if you mean picture, try fast burst camera https://market.android.com/details?id=com.spritefish.fastburstcameralite&feature=search_result there's also a full version of that..
if you mean video to record them slomo, maybe you need a super power..
I had a LG Viewty at some point and that phone could shoot 120 pics a second and yeah it was dark and blurry unless you shot in sunlight. It was a fun little feature, but not really usefull and i would think it would be the same for the play.

Is there an Editor for android?
Sent from my R800i using XDA App
Afaik there aint one for android per se. Samsung made one for some of their devices running android. Someone ripped it and posted the apk and files here on xda. I tried it on my HTC Desire HD when I had that phone. It didn't work as it needed something in the touchwiz framework.

recorded some 1080p video, one was a minute and thirty seconds, the other about 25-30 seconds.
From the gallery, I long pressed and selected share, then uploaded it to facebook.
once upload was complete, both videos (which were uploaded at separate times) were each deleted off my SD card after the upload was complete.
Stock rom, just rooted.
anyone else have that happen before?
and any ideas how/why this happend, and how to prevent it from happening again...short from transferring the videos to my PC and uploading that way.
Never happened to me.. I've uploaded several videos to fb myself

Get better help if posting in the right place. Ask questions in Questions forums. This is (1) not about the HTC One M8 and (2) not a theme or app.
Edit: Thread moved.

Most apps are going to perform poorly because of the way slow-mo actually works. There is a option on the video settinggns that records in slomotion and this is the ideal way of creating a slow motion video as it records more fames per second so u won't get all the chops you get when u try to slow-mo a regular video that is recorded with lower frames per second.
