flashed it with S5360_DXLB1_XSELB1_DXLB1 to get rid of bloatware.
now I can only make energency calls. when i call some1 else it says 'mobile network not available'. seriously wtf is going on please help.
I think if you are locked to a carrier you have to use firmware provided by your carrier they have the correct settings
The THANKS button is still there

I purchased my phone from a electeonix shop as it was cheaper compare to the main retailers. What I would like to know is which country it originates from and is this important as I would like to update it to 4.1.2 as ota update is still n/a
Pic to follow
Isn't important at all. Mine's from Saudi Arabia and I'm using it in New Zealand on a French 4.1.2 build.

HI! I have exactly the same software as you do!
I bought it in a "brand" MOBITEL in SLOVENIA!
and still no OTA or Kies update!
Hope this helps.
Hi, if you want to know the csc code, open the dialer and enter *#1234#.
The csc code is the three letter code following the model number.
For example, mine says n7100dbtxxxxx. The csc here is "dbt", which stands for Germany (although I live in the Netherlands).
Then look up what region your csc stands for. You can Google that.

As far as i know your says dbt becouse you have single csc firmware.
Sometimes firmware is multicsc and you will not know csc using this code. For example if i enter *#1234# i get n7100OXXALJ4. OXX indicates multi csc, to find what csc is phone using you must run this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.manniakk.cscselector
mine is OXA - Poland, but could be also DBT
I get BTU at the end so does that ,mean UK ?

Hi .
When I open about device in settings on my note 2 the last item showing there is the build number. But my friends's note 2 carries a country name below the build name. What does this country denote. Does not having the country name denote anything.
Thanks in advance.
CHEERS. ....

Branding is not always used on branded phones. It is up to the carrier whether they do and how they brand a phone. I have a T-mobile Note 2 from the USA but there is no country under the build number and the case does not have any T-mobile markings. However! When it boot and shuts down there are T-mobile notices showing. Just because there is no branding does not mean it is an international phone. It could be and again it may not be.

As I said varies with carrier

Mhhh, sorry i think that my question is not right.
When my brother lives in EEUU, he has a Phone (simple phone) that has Mobile line but without simcard. He cant change the mobile line, because there no simcard. The mobile line cames with the Phone.
Because im thinking to buy a note 2 in eeuu, i dont want to buy a device that cant use in my country. Then, there are any model of note 2,without simcard but with mobile line built in? That obviously dont work for my and must be care to dont purchase it?
Thanks again...

I do not know of a galaxy model that comes without sim slots. My guess is that thr simless phone is not a smartphone? It used to be like that in my country as well but sim cards had to be used once smartphones were introduced.
