Hello guys, i dropped my lg Optimus screen and now the touch screen is unusable. i can see the screen just fine (minus the obscuring cracks, lol) but i just can't send the signals to the touch sensor. SO I'm going to bring it in to best buy and see what i can do about the screen, but first, obviously, i need to unroot my Lg Optimus G. I have the LGNPST all ready to go, correct ZVC bin downloaded, EVERYTHING (I'm currently unrooting it now). i am just wondering if i need to reset any ticker, or anything else to make sure my phone looks completely un-tampered with. What does screen being broken have to do with being rooted?

He was saying he doesn't want the root detectable, and since the screen was cracked it was unusable.
I think he question is after he goes back to stock ZVC, is there anything else he needs to do so it doesn't looked messed with, or tampered.

The HD quality gets poor when you root your phone and run a custom Rom. I noticed this because I have two gs3 one that's rooted and one that's not and I compared the two. My question is there a way to fix this??

Actually I've noticed this over the last couple nightly CM10 builds. Although I dont think it has anything to do with being rooted, or a custom rom. I think Sprint has been messin' with the network speeds as of late. But I see what you're talking about. I used to be able to stream Youtube in HD over 3g and it look pretty good with the occasional buffering. Now I play a video in HD and it looks a little soft and ruff around the edges, kinda like the way it looked without the HD button pressed. I hope it doesn't stay that way. If it does, I'm going to call Sprint and find out what the heck is going on. And if they don't fix it, tmo just introduced unlimited data and I might just switch.

I only had my phone for about 9 months now. Just recently i encountered this problem.
My phone will not charge unless i hold the wire in a weird way. It get detected by pc fine with no problems, but i do have to hold it a weird way again to into storage. I've tried every charger there is in my house including the stock one they gave me with the phone. Changed the rom and still. I even bought a new battery, still same problem. The only way for me to charge it without having a nervous breakdown is externally charging the batteries.
Whats the best way to handle this? Do i do this through insurance? Do i got a warranty of some sort?
Also, I'm currently rooted and have a custom Rom if i do go through insurance or warranty i need to know if there is any extra steps other then unrooting and going back to stock ics.

Call T-Mobile or chat with them. Go through warranty with them. They'll tell you to call back from a different phone if you're on that phone because they want you to factory reset it. From my experience, that doesn't do anything. I just pretend that I am since i know it's a hardware problem..they tell you to do it anyways because it's just protocol.
Say the problem is still present and they will issue a warranty exchange and charge $5 for overnight shipping

strange, I did ur same test on my N7000 (=Note I) and that was perfect... my ruler was a credit card if it counts.
Just did this test on my N7100 and it drew a straight line.
I used a credit card and a straight edge of cardboard and did NOT get the same issue. The line was drawn straight.

To be honest you'll be really lucky to get someone to donate one those things are $150 brand new any around $80 used

yeah i know, it sucks that it costs somuch and my warranty expired last month soim really in a bind. oh it was worth a shot lol
New to this, tired of getting ripped off by t mobile. Ran the dev menu, matched my value to 116631 , golden nv back up existed and still my device isn't unlocking. T mobile s4, stock Rom, sgh-m919. I was blacklisted a while ago, have been living off Wi-Fi and I'm trying to switch to h2o. Made the mistake of spending the money on the card and plan before successfully unlocking. Please help this noob
