I found this phone on the street, face down. The lcd and touchscreen were completely smashed in and destroyed.

It did charge and power on. I heard the startup chime and the volume rocker made sounds that indicated that the volume was changing. I removed the removed the touchscreen and lcd, cause glass was falling out.
I am considering repairing the phone, but now with the screen removed, it has ceased to power on. The most it will do is flash green then 2 seconds later flash green again. Is it a goner, or could I still repair it? Do phones refuse to start without the screen/touch screen?

Wierd question I know.
But I have noticed that my screens surface is rough not smooth as 'regular' glas of whatever kind. And after countless cleanings and wipings and whatever the surface stil doesnt have that smoothness where one just easily touches the screen with the finger and moves easily the menu and so on.
Am going to try to take pictures, because I noticed some odd patterns on the screen if a flash light is used.
Cheers.

So what you guys think? Should I return the unit for repair or replacement?
Anyy advice is welcomed.
Cheers!
Edit: Spoke to retailer and will exchange for a new unit.
So, up until today my One X has been free (apparently) from any faults or glitches.
However today, the screen looked like a giant bar code (until I touched the screen again) - after displaying the same image of text for about five minutes. The screen also occasionally had a slim 'wavy' like line at the side of the screen - is this that 'screen flickering' issue? Then I went on to battery stats and I have the weird line where it hasn't reset after charging and instead appears to have magically recharged since last being plugged in (when actually, I had the phone charging while turned off).
Has there been any fixes for these, or is it a hardware issue?

Have a weird hardware issue with my Pixel C. The left half of the screen goes bonkers (technical term, I know) and touch input fails unless mild pressure is placed upon the middle-back of the tablet, in which case everything functions normally.
So obviously there's some sort of loose connection or fault back there. Does anyone know of a guide to repairing such a fault or of a repair person/company that could be trusted with fixing such a fault?

@henryimler,
You have a lot of company, and the only solution has been to return it for replacement. Go here > https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-c/general/mapping-problems-to-serial-t3274660
I bought a LTE tablet from Craigslist and discovered it had a tiny screen crack, that fully cracked when I tried to fix the non-responsive screen.
I put the motherboard on my wifi screen looking at the extra connector, but not thinking about it, the whole time I was doing it.
The tablet seems to get a quick GPS lock but it hasn't left my driveway yet.
Any chance anyone has used a LTE model without the back cover and can say what the GPS lock is like?
If it comes to it I can cut the GPS antenna and tape it in place.

Hi, I have a old ZE550ML that had a dead battery. In fact, I abandoned the phone beacuse it bricked two times (bootloop and black screen) due to the faulty battery. Now I bought a new battery and I followed the unbrick guide but I'm facing a new problem. I can hear the phone booting and entering Android. If i touch the screen I hear sounds but all I can see when I unlock the phone is a grey halo.

If I long press the power button while in Android, sometimes the display changes to this:
The screen was working before the last bootloop. Is the screen broken?
Thanks
EDIT: I discovered that if I twist the phone, the display works, so I think it might be a cable problem
