Flash stock firmware like. 50 or. 45 using flashtool in flashmode. This is absolutely safe. Then root & flash cwm. After then flash kernel & baseband of. 55 and flash. 55 rom in cwm.
Press Thanks

Will it not work how they're rooting the new U firmware? Just use flashtool to flash kernel only of the older firmware. Root with binary, then use flashtool to flash kernel only of the latest firmware again?

and what about the warranty? and i heard that flashing down/downgrading is only possible when you have a unlocked bootlader
you can use flashtool even if youre on locked bootloader.
Flashtool is fine for warranty etc as it's only flashing official sony files

you don't, its locked, you cant instal custom roms.
sorry pall
Contact with T-mobile to unlock the bootloader. You might have to pay for it.
If you can't, you only have the options for locked bootloader ROMs. CWM is there as well with many mods
Hit THANKS if I helped.

[Q] Alternatives rom to xperia s with 2.55 Firmwares with locked bootloader

Hello friends, good morning!
I have a xperia s with 2.55 Firmwares with locked bootloader. And, finally, I managed to make root through this process:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39498268
I would change the official rom
What do you recommend me?
With the locked bootloader, is it possible for me to put some 4.1 or 4.2?

You cannot install 4.1 or 4.2 ROMs on locked boot loader for now. Sorry. Check the development section for a list of roms that work on locked bootloader. We are not allowed to tell which ROM is the best so you will have to try it for yourself. Sorry again.

Thank you so much for your short but informative reply !
I had already said that i installed CWM on locked bootloader (xperia SL LT26ii) !
Now will it be possible to unlock bootloader ?
Or Is it necessary to remove that installed cwm first and unlock the bootloader ?
thanks in advance !
