How I can ROOT 4.1.B.0.587 on my Xperia Arc ?

Hi everyone ! How I can ROOT 4.1.B.0.587 on my Xperia Arc, because I have locked bootloader. I found many topics, but none was to root an Xperia with locked bootloader.:crying:

[Q] Help bootloader unlocking ????????????

hey guys i want to unlock my bootloader but i cant do it (rooting status allowed no) so is there any way to unlock it forcefully or do i need a new phone please help

Use omnius. Have money ready. That's all I can say as my bootloader is locked.

[Q] IM A DUMMY teach me how to install custom roms!

So ive been looking about for a few days and im really struggling to install custom roms on my phone..it is an xperia arc S...i couldnt find the arc s forum :S
But yeah i am total rookie to all of this so you will have to spell out every step to me !

I can give you a step by step guide... But first your device should be rooted and you should have unlocked Bootloader to begin with...

i have rooted it, how do i get unlocked boot loader? im sorry but im just not used to all of this stuff...i just want to get more performance out of my phone and delete all those unecessary apps

Yes, the SONY website has a guide to unlock bootloader... Go to google and type in arc s unlock boot loader and pick sony link, steps are easy just follow them... When you do so i will write you a full clear Newbie how to

i did the *#*#service*#*# thing and it says bootloader unlock allowed : yes
does that mean its unlocked?

No, it means it's unlockable... So continue mentioned steps from sony guide... An remember to bookmark this page or subscribe...

Use the TestPoint method then instead of the Official Method, you'll find all you need at the first link in my sig.

The official method is more reliable and i see better for newbies... I highly recommend you continue with the SONY method... Actually when i was it his lvl, test point confused me...

The TestPoint method is better as you retain DRM, and if a video tutorial is too hard to follow, then yes, perhaps the Official no more reliable or better method is the way to go.

Help to root LT15i!

Hi.
I have tried many methods, and none of the has worked so far!
Kernel version:
2.6.32.9
Build number:
4.1.B.0.587
Hope someone can help me!

Testpoint
Put root.zip in sd card from superuser site
Hotboot a kernel with cwm
Flash the zip

I'm not sure what you've tried exactly, but you do know that it's not necessary to unlock the bootloader to root the phone right?

Same problem on my own LT15I

I have the same problem. I think that it is due to an official upgrate for Android 4.0.4 with PCC. Even if I use other way to root the mobile I can't. It is impossible to unlook the bootloader with the official way and I currently do not find another way to do it.
I am still looking for solution. :silly:

I have tried without too, not working.
And all the sticky thread i has read i not working either.
Its really annoying, because i REALLY want to root my phone!
But if somebody knows a lot about it, then it would be really awesome if the person would guide me through on how to do it on Skype or something similar.

I had already installed CWM Recovery in my xperia SL (locked Bootloader).
Now, I just want to install Paranoid Android 4.2.2 into it without unlocking bootloader.
Is it possible?

It is not possible...locked bootloader supports only stock kernels...
PA have different kernel...for support of it u have to unlock....even i have ion locked bootloader...i cant taste any other roms

I had already said that i installed CWM on locked bootloader (xperia SL LT26ii) !
Now will it be possible to unlock bootloader ?
Or Is it necessary to remove that installed cwm first and unlock the bootloader ?
