Hello i recently picked up a messed up Galaxy tab 3. It doesn't turn on at all but I can get into download mode. Only once in download mode my computer doesn't recognize it, I have Kies installed so from my understanding i should already have the drivers. Even if i get my computer to recognize it will having download mode only help me?

Hi ur computer not recomizing it could be by the charger my ipod i hqd a charger made by a diff company and it would not sho it when i hooked upso i got a apple charger and it worked also idk about download mode but try getting odin and the stock firmware and put it in download and try to reset it cause it might be bricked

i can second that, galaxy tab 3 7.0 needs the cable that came with it, generic won't do, something with the pins in device.
as for kies after you install and run it first time with tab and proper cable then uninstall kies from your system but leave drivers.
alternately seach for samsung usb drivers only and install them instead of kies, then get odin going.

Hi there, I purchased my Galaxy Gio from eBay with Android 2.3.7 and cyanogenmod 7 installed. But the battery runs out way too fast. So I wanted to downgrade to 2.3.4 stock optus rom. The main problem is my computer cannot detect my Gio, it detects my brothers Galaxy gio with Kies and my dads Galaxy s, but not mine. I've tried switching debuging mode, nothing. So when I get to the part to flash with odin it says please connect phones and theres no notificaions about a usb plugged in, it just charges. Also I put it into download mode to flash and no detection by odin. So can someone please help out, it would be appreciated.

hi bro
it happen when your driver not installed
if u use win7 or 8 connect your device then windows automaticaly download your driver
or u could download driver "samsung android driver"
for odin cause this driver
I don't think installing the drivers is the problem. Because Kies automatically installs them and my brothers gio is detected by the computer.
Hmm have u tryed to connect ur phone in other USB ports so when the computer says 'installling device driver...' it will automatically install kies driver

If you plug your Gio in download mode, with Winz0z 7/8 driver will be installed. Driver for being detected by the PC in download mode is different from USB mode one because also baseband will be changed with Odin.
Also, Kies, unless you use stock, won't detect your phone. Sorry.

My Galaxy s3 is pretty much useless at the moment. I had it rooted a while back and decided to unroot it. I used Odin and the stock rom for telus galaxy s3 sgh-i747m. Odin did its job and showed it was done successfully, however the phone never booted back up even with holding the combo buttons (VolumeUp+home+power). Also my computer cannot detect the phone driver via usb cable showing QHSUSB_DLOAD, but it does make a beeping sound when connecting it or holding the combo keys while it's plugged in via usb cable.
I used a usb jig hoping it would get it to boot into download mode but no luck. I can take it for a JTAG and get it fixed, but since I screwed up I rather spend some more time and learn to fix it myself. A friend mentioned about QPST in order to get it to download mode and using a similar stock rom reprogram the phone, which I'm not familiar with.. anyone can give me a hint how to go bout this your help is much appreciated

Im not a pro, but it sound like a wrong rom was flashed. Good luck mate!

Thanks bud, I'm gonna look it up,, here's what i've done so far: i got the qualcom high speed usb driver and my computer detected the phone on COM4, and QPST also detected it on COM4... any clue what to do next?
I also need a reliable telus stock rom for my phone (sgh-i747m) so i dont screw up my galaxy again! :/

Get the one from sammobile.com and flash it with Odin.

Odin doesn't detect it yet.. QPST detects it as "download mode" on COM4 in the QPST Configuration.

When I connect my sgn2 to my PC it just charges and nothing else happens I tried reinstalling the samsung drivers and I installed the latest version of KIES and still nothing.
When I go to download mode odin does recognize it and I can flash anything.
Please help me I want to backup my EFS folder ASAP.

well these had been an issue with lot of note2 its the usb point which had gone bad so u need to change it as this had been an issue with many and the solution came to that only i solved mine the same way

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1711009 have u tried this and just get SAMSUNG_USB_Driver 1.5.23.0 and nothing else no kies required when installing driver just skip the update and it should work and search for a code to enable mtp as I forgot it to enable the mode which I tried that time.
I tried all and trust me the solution was changing usb port on the phone keep finger crossed and hope it works for you that way.
Hi, I recently flash a CWM recovery and sadly it is not booting, just blue screen. So I decided to restock my gio using ODIN. So I turn it off, Boot to download mode and connect it to the PC, and then it says "USB Device Not Recognized".
What I already did:
- Use different PCs
- Use different USB cables
- Try to boot to Emergency DLoad Mode, but sadly can't flashed through Odin

It has to be Window 7 or lower and you have install samsung kies or the usb drivers.
hi can any one help me i enabled usb debugging and rooted my phone
when i enter download mode and connect it to odin it doesn't read it
i tried galaxy ace plus and galaxy youn and odin read it galaxy y one stock non rooted and galaxy ace plus is rooted and 4.4 instaled
so what should i do ?

Which OS are you using? I am using Windows 8 on my gaming PC and when i plug in my phone with download mode odin doesn't recognize it, but when i plug in the phone with download mode on my laptop (running WIndows 7 64 bit) It recognizes it instantly. I think you should try that ,and also check if you have drivers installed

i used windows 7 but i don't know which bit (not mine) and i donloaded kies and installed it but nothing

Are you using Odin or Odin multi downloader. And what does it say when you connect your phone? Does the computer play the sound when something is plugged in or it doesn't respond at all?

i used odin multidownlaoder it didn't recognized the three phones and i downloaded the multidownloader from other place and it didn't work but when i downloaded the odin 3x normal it recognized the two phones except galaxy w that was the problem

the phone is not recognized only by odin or there is no way your pc can see it even for mass storage?

no the pc reads mass storage the only option i had is to download stock framware and flash it again but i could cuz i was on a travel
