So here I am with Beanstalk, getting terrible battery life, when I find a thread about an E980 baseband that will get my phone to deep sleep. I donwload it, TWRP recovery flash it, and my phone stays on the splash screen. I go back into recovery, and I can't use it, the touchscreen doesn't work. I try a hard reset, hard reset takes me back to TWRP, I tried .tot and .kdz flashing, my Win 8 laptop doesn't recognize the phone, says unknown device, I've tried every driver I could find, I keep getting the phone is disconnected error, the .kdz flash is stuck at 80%.
Any suggestions before I go back to Win 7 and give that a try?

Are there any other drivers which might get my phone recognized?
The LG Support tool downloads them after you select your model number

I'm not sure what went wrong during a rom flash but acted as if no OS was installed. I tried flashing a backup and it failed..
Using LGNPST and the same files i used to root the phone.. Now it just sits at the LG screen, even after putting in download mode and using LGNPST.
Any ideas guys?

This happened with my galaxy s3 and I was able to fix it after hours of googling and messing with LGNSPT. I didn't save the link but what fixed mine was using LGNSPT to flash it back to stock and it worked. It was pretty simple and I was kicking myself in the ass afterwards

Easiest way is to get ahold of a copy of lg flash tool, and your phone's stock .tot file and reflash, plenty of tutorials out there

I recently bought a phone that was supposed to be Sprint but actually says "Chameleon Network". Ive been trying to bypass the network and revert the phone back to Sprint. Im usually pretty tech saavy but I made a TERRIBLE mistake. I wiped my system , thinking it'd revert but it actually deleted EVERYTHING. Now my LG Optimus G LS 970 won't power pass the LG logo. It can't load because I delete the OS system. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem? Please help. I just bought the phone from an ebay user yesterday.
Download and use this tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2443185
Sprint LS970 Unbricking and Firmware Flashing Using LG Flash Tool
That will reset it to compete stock to the point of doing hands free activation. As long as the esn is clean you will be able to go to system settings > activate this device and it should activate with sprint if you added it to your account

Don't know about restoring your backup but you should be able to get back to stock using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2799647
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2799647
Flash it back to stock. You're going to lose all data on the phone. At this point I think it's your only option. See if you can get into download mode. Turn it off, hold down volume up and plug it into your computer via USB. Then do all the stuff in that thread.
edit: beaten by 1 minute!
There is no way to OVERstate how lucky you are that it didn't just hard brick. I accidentally mis-flashed on my G3 and it just died.

I did not. Couldn't return it, was a CraigsList buy because at the time I was trying to keep my unlimited data on Verizon.

Did you replace the MegaLock.dll per the instructions? It shouldn't ask for a password. Then again, I think I selected the 3rd option for country.
hope this helps
Sorry to hear that. Download LG Flash tool 2014. (Find instructions on xda on how to use it... Super easy)
Enter this link followed by your imei at the end of the link with no spaces.(youll find it on your phones box)
smg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=
The link will look like an error message, but will include another link to your most current firmware kdz format, enter it, it will start the download.
Put the phone in download mode.
Take the kdz file put it in LG Flash tool 2014 and follow the on screen instructions. It should take 5 min.
