what type of partion do i use for this roms a2sd ?
i tried using the cwm recovery partion but the a2sd doesn't seemed to have activated ?
do i need to activate usign terminal or do i need to flash a a script to get it going ?
Maximum 2GB ext4 partition made with 4EXT recovery or gparted only, not clockworkmod or minitool partition wizard. Guide in general section.
Mildwild ROMs tend to activate a2sd by default, moves apps and dalvik to sd-ext by keeping apps on 'internal', do not 'move to sd'. Check the ROM thread
You should also be s-off and change hboot to cm7r2 hboot before you flash the ROM to maximise space

I tried using this ROM and even partitoned my SD card for stock HBoot. I had the following configuration : A2SD+ STOCK HBOOT - stock hboot - the one with 250 mB for /system
- 1 gB ext4 partition
When i tried "a2sd check" or "a2sd install" or any a2sd command, it says a2sd not found. M currently using MIUI and everything works perfectly ....
Just that i wanted to try out some sense roms. Also tried flashing DarkTremor's A2SD script but then it stuck on splash screen.
Can anyone plz let me know how can i basically achieve A2SD on this ROM and run the above commands either through Terminal Emulator or through shell. A pointer to a step by step giude would be awesome[Noob alert]
TIA
maybe the rom you are trying does not support ext4? have you checked that?
btw hboot does have nothing to do with your sd card
Yes it supports ext 4

So can any1 plz give a me solution on this?
You don't need to do any A2SD+ commands or anything as a prerequisite for Insertcoin. All you have to do is make sure you download the right ROM for your HBOOT, partition 1GB EXT4. Full wipe and flash the rom. The rom itself will take care of moving stuff to the EXT during installation.
Hope this helps in any way.
i have installed m2sd http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342387 via aroma installer and enabled apps, dalvik and cmdalvik. Installed fine...but when i go to settings-->storage--> i still have 148mb internal storage... any idea?
so this assumes you have an ext partition on your sd card, hopefully created with gparted or 4ext recovery (NOT minitool or clockworkmod recovery)
depending on your method of moving apps to sd-ext, a lot of the time it won't show your total internal memory as "internal + sd-ext", your apps should still be moved to sd-ext, you shouldn't need to 'move to SD', keeping it on internal tricks the apps to sd-ext. check using an app like 'diskusage'
regardless, you are still on stock hboot so are wasting space. Currently your rom system size is ~140MB out of 250MB stock hboot system size, wasting 110MB, and only 148MB data (internal memory).
if you change to cm7r2 hboot (requires s-off), it has 145MB system, so you waste only 5MB, and get 287MB data. this larger data partition is usually enough for app data and dalvik cache, so no need to move dalvik to sd-ext.
have a look here or google, search for guides on s-off if you're not already (use revolutionary), and how to change hboot
yup already have ext partition.. was using a2sd and int2sd on my previous sense rom... ok will try to install some apps and see if i still get insufficient storage warning...
i switched from cmr2 hboot to stock hboot as from time to time i flash an ICS/JB rom to see their progress.
thx for the explanation

You should try using this script:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1677709
I've used to for few weeks on the same Mild Wild Rom, it worked like a charm, btw I have the stock HBOOT installed, maybe it will fix your problem
I just did a clean install of Mildwild Oxygen 4.6.5, but it seems to be that there's no a2sd functionality.
-When I go to settings->applications->development there's no SD-EXT button, but I did make a EXT3 partition, which does appear when I connect my Desire to PC.
-In settings->storage, my EXT3 partition does not appear.
-In settings->applications I cannot choose preffered install location.
I did not have all these problems in previous versions of MildWild. I need help.
Just install mounts2sd.

i've not had a chance to upgrade to this version, but i believe it now uses the classic way of A2SD instead of previous roalex hack where you could manually move each app.
mounts2sd could work, but you probably don't have to use it, as the rom should have it built in.
basically apps and dalvik should automatically be moved to sd-ext. you won't 'see' the ext partition. keep apps on 'internal' should trick apps to sd-ext.
download 'diskusage' and check how all your partitions are being used.
(i assume you're on cm7r2 hboot, and ext partition was created with gparted or 4ext recovery?)
Hi
What a2sd script can i use to move everything to the sd ext?? I'm using RSK Satelite ROM, and want an other A2sd script, so everything is moved to the ext. cach, davlik cach, lib,.... because i still have problems with the memory.
You on the cm7r2 hboot version of the Rom? That should give you more space.
I'm not sure exactly how the 'a2sdx' script works exactly, but most scripts of this type move apps and dalvik automatically. I'd be surprised if this one didn't do the same or similar because that's their main purpose
Try an app like diskusage, browse your partitions to check how they're being used, and understand why you're currently getting low memory in the first place.
Your partition should also be created with 4EXT recovery or gparted only
First of all, CHECK if the CM7r2 is compatible with your ROM.
Second, I suggest to also try Mounts2SD compatibility. Works like a charm on my CM7.2.0.1 rom. A2SD kinda let me down..
when i install custom rom and start a2sd script from terminal emulator its work but when i reboot my phone all installed apps gone and ext partition not showing.
pls help..
Could u post more info?
Rom, hboot, recovery?
More importantly how did you partition your sdcard?
Should be done only with 4EXT recovery or gparted, not clockworkmod or minitool
slim vj rom & bravo alphaspl sense hboot 180-40-217 hboot

hmm strange you created it using the right recovery.
The ext partition won't show up in your internal memory (i.e. it won't read 217MB + 512MB) but the sd-ext should store your apps and dalvik if you activated with A2SD with Y N Y
However, 512MB is very small, if you have enough apps it will fill up quite quickly. I'd recommend:
- backup sd card
- repartition with maximum 2GB ext4 partition, no swap (1.5GB is enough normally)
- full wipe and reinstall ROM, activate A2SD
- restore apps
Check your partition is filling up with an app like 'DiskUsage'

Try mount2sd and then verify it is enabled by checking overview in titanium backup.
Tapatalked from tablet.
Mounts2SD doesn't work with 4.2.2. I tried it.. or maybe I didn't do it right.
It only worked on GB for me..
but instead of the
a2sd install y>n>y
I did
a2sd xdata
Works like a charm
i use only 10 to 15 apps
actully bro i used only some apps that used only 350mb space some time ext partition show in app manager but after rebooting its gone.
now i use Link2sd app & its working properly
Sorry for bad english & thanks bro.
