Unable to delete contacts on CM11 - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

I just flashed the newest CM11 rom (4.4.3) and there is absolutely no option to delete a contact from the People app. It just shows no options what so ever. Can someone tell me what to do exactly? The only options I get are Contacts to Display, Import/Export, Accounts, Settings. None of which have an option to delete contacts either.

Have you tried long pressing?

It took me like 30 minutes to figure it out and the process is the dumbest thing I have ever seen.
So, you do the following.
People app > Long press the big letter next to a number > On this little popup press the picture of a person (its small and roundish on the right) > menu button > delete.
This is the craziest process I ever saw just to delete a phone number I no longer use.

Glad to hear its working

stylus remove and notes open

Hi All -
I have a couple of questions using HTC TP 2, tmobile, and winmo 6.5
When I am in a call and I remove the stylus it auto opens the notes. I don't want to open the notes. Does anyone know how to stop it from doing that?
I have read and read through many of the threads here and am still not sure what works and does not work. Does anyone know of a 1% battery status for my phone and setup above?
If I make a call and I forgot and left the ear bluetooth in another room, I can not talk on the phone unless I run to find the darn bluetooth. Anyone know how to immediately switch to Phone so that the call I just made will allow me to talk through the cell phone without running for the bluetooth?
Great community over here, thanks.
Gordon
Inside Settings -> Personal -> Phone -> Advanced, uncheck "Open Notes when stylus pulled out during a call" option.

1% battery indicator
There is a thread stickied at the top of the first page that has a ton of info on the 1% battery issue.

There are also many different task bars that you can load that have different icon sets.
This one looks very nice.

Is there anyway to set a program (e.g., MyNote, OneNote Mobile) to open whenever you pull out the stylus, not just during a call?

Can't save phone numbers?

I have my Samsung Focus and received a call yesterday I wanted to save. I pressed every "button" imaginable to try to get it to go into my contacts from my call history, but there wasn't anything there. Is Microsoft serious? To paraphrase their commercials -- "Really???" Then I got a call I'd like to put that silent ring attached to that number and again, nothing. In fact, there's no silent option let alone choosing a ring for certain numbers. Again, "really?"
I was really starting to like this phone a LOT, but after these two omissions it has the OS has dropped a few points in my book.
I'm sure the upcoming update isn't going to fix that and I'm beginning to doubt the one coming next year(!) will too.
to save a number from the call history, tap the number and there is a save icon on the menu bar. Not sure what's so hard about it.

1. Go into your call history - press the number you wish to save, press the "save" icon at the bottom of the screen. From there you can either find the person you wish to link this number to or choose "new contact".
2. Correct, there's no "silent" option for select contacts. Will come in the future though.
3. Find the contact you wish to assign a ringtone, press "edit" icon at the bottom of the screen, press "ringtone" and choose the one you wish to use.
Okay, I'm deficient. ;-) Thanks for that. I just never saw that save button and I embarrassed myself here.
Sigh. I'll go back under my rock.

[Q] Sense 3.0 lockscreen question

Does anyone know if there a way to change the mail application on the lock screen to Handcent? The only time I use the default app is to send MMS because Handcent wont send them for some odd reason.
I have already tried the 'Replace default maill application' setting in Handcent and it doesnt do anything that I can see.
Press menu > personalize > lock screen, scroll over to the one you're using so its selected, press settings, then you should be able to long press the sms app, then change it.

Interesting, I rarely use it, but when I did, it popped up in about five seconds.

HTC One X sms notification, video camera focus and menu button

Some thoughts on my HTC One X: I love this phone it's amazing however there are 3 little issues I have encountered .
1. Video recording constantly goes out of focus (i upload and unboxing video of the HTC Bluetooth speaker and you can see the camera issues there).
2. Text message notifications do not work properly if at all, on three occasions I missed txt mssg because I didn't get a notification, I only saw them when I was looking up a contact or by browsing through my widgets.
3. The menu button is placed in the top right corner for many apps which forces you to reach for it,this button should have been placed in the bottom of the display for more convenience since that is where you hold the phone from.
Finally, while typing this, I realized that when using text trace, if you notice a word was mis typed after moving forward you cannot just double tap to get word suggestions or remove it,you have to back space the whole word. I hope HTC can issue a software update to address these issues.the sooner the better

1. That's Constant Auto focus, just turn it off in settings.
2. Reset your phone, I have no issue with Text notifications.
3. That's nothing to do with the phone, it's the way the App Implements the Menu button.

Black HTC One X - Stock

Voice

Is there a way to shut off the choice part for actions we do on our phone? Every room I install I get this issue where if you pinch the home screen in to select which one of the screens you want the phone says" home screen edit page open" then when you select s page or will say "work space 2 of 3" poor how ever many home screens you got. Everything is turned of in the accessibility post in the settings. I even flashed back to stock and it is still there. Is there a easy to shut it off or delete the sound files for that?
