So recently I bought a refurbished Galaxy Tab 3 for my son. He wanted to download some apps but whenever he clicked install it said "cannot download app (error 406)" and sometimes it would download the app but not be able to install it. I tried to clear the cache of the google play store app but It wouldn't let me because it was empty. I have also tried factory resetting the tablet but that didn't work. I can't return the tablet due to a no-return policy all help will be appreciated
Thanks,
John

Install necessary drivers, download appropriate firmware version and just flash it... Simple!
Any good?
Kinda,
Instead of installing the firmware again i installed a custom rom (SEAL ROM) I ran into LOTS of bumps on the way (rom installation errors) but it finally worked out. Everything seems to be going smoothly.
Thanks

Thanks guys... It may have taken 2 hours but I finally Rooted my phone for the first time... Flashed the previous update and now im just waiting for it to start so i can unroot my phone... I like knowing that I have a warranty on it
One more noob question.... How do you know if your phone is unrooted? I Flashed the previous update and cleared my cashe and wiped my data and now my device status is normal. does that mean that im not rooted anymore?
Glad you're learning some of the basics but you should definitely read before you start going to sammobile and installing leaks. You should be glad that your phone isn't bricked.

Learning is what happens when you do something that you don't have the knowledge to do. If I said I knew what I was doing before I started flashing, I would be a liar. That being said, a smart person learns from other people's mistakes. Read a lot.
It's simple. Basically, never flash anything that isn't made for the SGH-T999. And if using Odin, always use PDA.
Since you are rooted, get Terminal Emulator from the Play Store. Run it, and type: su <enter> reboot nvbackup <enter>. This will backup your IMEI data, so it can be restored should it ever become corrupted. You will only need to do this one time.
Follow these instructions, and it's pretty much impossible to hard brick.
You want to check root status? Why do you need another app from the Play Store? Just open Superuser/SuperSU. It will tell you if the binaries are present/updated. Though, the presence of a su app is generally indicative that you have root access.
Irecently tried to flash cm10.1.2 the "stable" version of cm by I keep getting error 7. I am running the latest cwm recovery 6.0.3.1 and had no problem installing 10.1.1 a week or so ago. I have downloaded it multiple times just incase it was corrupted during the download and no luck. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any feedback would be great

IIRC I had this issue a while back and it has to do with the bootloaders. Error 7 means (I think) it doesn't recognize something about your device so it stops before causing issues.
I had to go back to stock and then the flash worked fine.

You'll have to go back to a stock 4.1.1 or 4.0.4 ROM first. Then install CWM, and your ROM should install fine. I had the same issue, and this is my solution.

You don't have to flash a stock rom. Just flashing the bootloader is sufficient. No sense downloading a 1.1gb file if you don't have too.

The first line in your op was "I keep getting error 7"
The actual error on the screen is "status 7" we were both half right
That's all you need to search for. Status 7 isn't rom specific you can get it flashing any rom. These threads are for helping, and I don't mind doing it, its just a lot of people need to learn how to try to help themselves first.
There is an interesting video on the homepage for xda where they say "there are 5+ million users in the forums, chances are your problem is new " interesting watch.
Getting back to the issue at hand. If your recovery is up to date than it's your bootloader. The link I added gets you to where you need to be. Don't flash the MF1 (if on a Canadian carrier) though as some roms haven't changed the script to allow it to flash and you'd get the same issue.
Let me know if you're still stuck

Alright so my dad just got a S4, and I did the same steps I did when I rooted my S4, except this time it didn't work. I flashed CWM Touch Recovery v6.0.3.2 and flashed the root file via recovery. Now when I reboot it gets to the Samsung Galaxy S4 logo, and just gets stuck. In the corner it says "kernel is not seandroid enforcing". I can:

No clue. I just assumed it would be the same as mine. I'd make the safe assumption it's 4.4.2 as the android version, as that is what the website is telling me. As far as Baseband I have no clue. Is there anyway I can find out without booting in?
I've actually done this same exact thing about a year ago with my last s4. All I did was flash the latest firmware with odin and start over. The fact that you can get in to recovery and download leads me to believe everything should be fine, except you may lose all you saved data like messages, pics, etc..

I went to follow some steps to flashing a rom on my device.
Then when I got to the TWRP Part that says to factory reset device, I accidentally chose Wipe Data for I didn't see the slidable "slide to factory reset" on the bottom. While it is wiping my data, it restarted and only got stuck wuth the samsung logo. Anyone also experienced this?

You are using TWRP 2.8.0 right? If you can install version 2.6.3 using Obin. Then do the wipes and install. There is a bug with 2.8.0 and above for wiping the caches which is why the factory resets are failing and why you cannot install a ROM. Tell me if that works or not.
