I tried doing it on CM11 using vold.fstab and some other file whose name I don't remember but was unsuccessful. I heard doing that using init.d scripts causes kernel errors so I haven't tried that.
Best i did is to mount (real) sdcard as data partition by editing fstab file in ramdisk. Had to format (real) sdcard in ext4 format and emulated sdcard had around 27GB out of my 32GB card, but i wasn't able to mount original data partition as external sdcard...
And not by chance have the file edited for android 4.4.2 vold.fstab

Here it is!
I created it using partition /cache which is much faster than micro SD
Extract 78swap from .zip and use script manager to run the script (run as root and on boot)
By default the size is 512MB, you can switch to the desired size, 1 equals 1MB

Download titanium backup to see how much space you have left in your ext3 partition also you use terminal emulator to have it move everything in internal to ext3. In terminal type su(enter) ad2sd reinstall (enter) and phone will reboot and move everything to ext3

Okay I'm im getting SD card not mounted even though it is any ideas and this is after i type apps2sd reinstall

If you have root explorer and you go to system>sd >app and see what apps are there or you can just check in titanium to see if you install a app if your a2sd memory goes down

hi....check with my device in bionic cow2 firmware. inside there is already include as what you have mention.
There is no /system/usr/idc folder in the ROM I'm using, and I think there isn't one in any other ROM too, since they are all based on the same Android version.
To make this have an effect, we need to find the equivalent file in our ROM and change it accordingly.
What exactly does this mod do?

You'll need to reformat the card to Fat32. This of course will wipe it clean, so id take it out of the phone and plug into the computer, and back up any important data. Then format to FAT32. You can format on the phone, so it may be best to do it that way.
What size is the card?

I have a 32gig external sd
Ooops.....my bad!
disregard previous posts. Sorry bout that!
Try deleting the .android_secure folder as is mentioned here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908178
If that doesnt work, I would suggest trying TWRP instead of CWM.

Not sure how good it is. I use twrp personally.

Partitioning the sd card is the best solution for low memory i think. This is a good guide though.

since android 2.2 its in all roms standart and called native 2 sd,its not special to use an app, because the device takes it by it self, the best app for such things is the free app Link2sd.

On Partitioning the sdcard we would be able to use only the specified space and its little complicated and long method.
while on other side when using ROM Toolbox Pro, you can use as many space as you want and the best thing is that it will not reserve any unused space.
Simply your apps will be installed in the sdcard without asking anything.
and its very easy method.

Thanks!, if it helps you

From my point of view "link2sd" is best option for any low internal memory phones!! :-\
After moving system apps to sd by link2sd u will get enough space that u can full ur approximately 10 pages with apps!!
So u can try both of the process but link2sd is best!!
Thanks !!
My experience is that link2sd blocked my deep sleep no matter which kernel/rom.
I prefer amarullz script to increase storage.
depends on your choice...

I dont know if any one has started a thread about this already. After the release of jelly bean 4.3 for xperia m c1905 all the previous ways of swapping internal and external storage no longer work making it impossible to run large apps anymore. I know it was recently released but has anyone found a way to do this yet, and im sure im not the only one who would like to know.
