Fast battery drain - Galaxy Ace II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I have Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus (GT -S7580). I know this is not subforum for this phone but there is no subforum for Trend Plus on this site so I have to write here because it is similar phone to Trend Plus.
I have this phone only few months and I experienced that battery is discharging very fast. I have measured it and the battery discharged from 90% to 77% in 17 hours. The phone was in standby mode and screen was off. So I think it is pretty much when I did not do anything with phone. So I want ask if it is normal?
Thank you.

My aceII drains in 8h ca. 20%. So I think 13% in 17h iss very woooow - good

Xperia S BATTERY DRAAAAAAAAAAIN

Hey guys
3 days ago i bought new xperia s. When i charge my xperia s to 100%, turn it on playing with it for 25 mins my battery drop to 80 %. and when i look into Menu > Settings > Battery i see that Display using 75 % somewhere at screenshot i seen that normal is 20 %. How to reduce it to minimum? And for those who have xperia s how much % is display usage?
What did you do in those 25 minutes? If I play a game like Bad Piggies my battery loses a comparable amount of battery power. In general I notice that keeping 3G on (data connection) reduces the battery level far quicker than in case you only leave Wifi on. I'd just suggest you turn 3G only on when you are surfing the internet. The Xperia S doesn't have great autonomy in any case and it's not getting any better when you're using CM. I did like the battery life on XTXperience 4 (5 should be about the same);
If you have the display constantly on for the first 25 minutes it's only normal that it uses around 70% of the battery.
Plus, normally the screen is always using the most power, around 50% should be 'normal'.
Around 20 % is when you only use the phone for writing an SMS every now and then, you can't compare that to the stats of an phone you play with.

[Q] S4 Mini GT-I9192: Cyanogenmod battery drain

I have installed Cyanogenmod in my S4 Mini Duos and everything works great but... my battery is draining so fast! From what I've seen, the major battery drainer is the "Standby Cell", as it takes out from 20 to 30% of all the energy of my phone. My cellphone's battery life was lasting 2 days when using stock Android, now it only lasts 20 hours. One thing to note is that: when in airplane mode, the battery lasts much longer, but I don't want to always keep switching the airplane mode on and off during all the day.
Any possible solutions on this?
Anyone?

Redmi Note 8 Pro Terrible Battery Draining

I just bought it 7 days later and I really hate the battery draining too fast. My old phone was Redmi note 4x and I can say it's more battery efficient. I only average 2 1/2 hours on 50% . Casual use no heavy gaming. Android System has the highest usage based on my observation. My rom is MIUI 10 10.4.1.0 PGGMIXM.
Anyone having the same issue???
I had the same issue on my unit. 15%+ drain overnight with no use and connected to wifi. Returned it because of touch sensitivity issue in the end, and I'm waiting to see if the issues get sorted out...
I had the same issue too, the Android system with 40% of battery consumption and at night my smartphone is consuming 10%.
interesting, mine can use 1.5 days with some time of games. Screen brightness kept roughly 60%
No problem here ,miui 11

I get way more SOT than you but it does drain fast comparing to some of the previous phones i've had. I can do a day without charging if i didn't game, but even a hour of COD drains almost 30% of the battery. And that's specially disappointing because this thing has a massive battery...

I have played cod for more than an hour and it never drained 30%. Maybe you have some issues. I have done extensive gaming yesterday and I got 9 hours and 30 mins SOT. I'm more than happy with this because I played cod, pubg and clash of clan.
What firmware do you guys have?

did s20 latest update make the battery drain faster?

I am using s20 ultra, after installed the latest update the battery is draining really fast. I am charing it twice or up for a day. especially when I play a game on my phone it consumed 6 - 7% battery for like 15 to 20 minutes.
Yah even my battery is not so great sot arround 4.5 hours with 120 htz actually, but absolutely love the phone otherwise....

Question Will OnePlus 9 pro battery life be improved with a software update?

Im planning to buy OnePlus 9 pro phone, everything in this phone is perfect for my needs except the battery life. almost all the reviews on the internet suggest that the battery life of the phone is average, and some site say it's worse than that of the oneplus 8 pro, even though both phones have roughly the same battery capacity with the oneplus 9 pro having more efficient display and processor. so do you think it will be improved soon with a software update? and for those how bought the oneplus 8 pro at lunch last year, did you experience the same issue?
It charges to 100% in under 30min...
So seriously, what is it that you do all day where you need to have your screen on for 6-7h, hard usage, without any acces to a power plug to charge it?
Are you a ranger in a Safari Park that tracks Rhino's?
Battery life isn't great, but I top it off for about 10-15 minutes late afternoon (half a charge or so) and I'm good to go. I'll keep my old 30W charger (from my 7 Pro) in my car just in case I'm ever caught with a low battery, but it doesn't seem to be an issue. I certainly welcome any improvements, though.
Usually, ota updates have battery performance improvements...
In the summer i will be moving back home where frequent blackouts are a common thing specially during the hot days, that is why im worried about battery life. and i dont like carrying power banks.
Anyway thanks guys for the replys, and hope future updates would include battery improvements.

I've upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy Note 9. I'm really surprised how quickly my phone has died the past few days at work. Only gets me through about 8hr of listening to podcasts, screen off before I hit 20%. I hope that something improves because I was hoping with this phone I'd be able to get through more of my day without charging.
It's astonishing to me that all the improvements to hardware and particularly power efficiency over the years have resulted in... the same SOT and battery life in general as my four old phone. Progress

They'd rather have the phone charge from 0 to 100% in about 30 minutes so that's their *solution* to the "problem".
Idle or standby battery drain is too much.. Anyone facing that? How to reduce it. My phone was charged 90% in the night. After 9 hrs standby, battery went to 67%. Thats too much battery drain

Mine drains about 5-6 % in 9 h standby. Always-on disabled. Try disabling "listen to hey google all the time", that might be the culprit.
As someone else stated earlier, my battery was horrible when I first got it for a couple of days, then without doing anything, it just got better, like a normal phone. No complaints now. That was my only gripe.
Btw a new update that ends .3.3 seems to be rolling out in India and should further improve battery life. it's great to see they're doing something, hope battery life will get even better.

Same problem here (AOD disabled).
Yeah I now have my phone for 2 days, it's a garbage battery!
It drains like close to 20% per hour of 'light usage', with low brightness only FHD......
Also it drains the battery even when it's supposed to be Idle (no AOD)!
Will probably return this ****.
