Anyone have any insight into if or when it will become available on the Note4. I know they support it on the GS5 but was unsure if our device is in the pipeline for it.
Hello, I have a Version Note 4 (SM-N910V) (N910VVRU2CPF3) and I really want to video call my wife with the same phone. I would like to use the native built in video caller.
I just got this phone and from what I understand, I need to turn on HD voice/video calling under advanced calling. I have Total Wireless (Tracfone/Strattalk) and there is an error when I try and turn it on from Verizon. Is there another way to get it working? I am familiar with rooting with my Verizon Note 3, do I need root?
I have page plus which is another Verizon mvno and they don't support HD calling either. It is my understanding that Verizon reserves those features for their own customers.
I started using hangouts. I was just curious if there was a way to force it.
I have a Pixel (from Google) running on the Verizon network, and I've enabled wifi calling, which works great..
My friend recently purchased (also from Google) a Pixel XL and he is running it on At&t. He has a need to enable wifi calling also, but isn't seeing it as an option in the XL's settings (even though we both have the same Nougat version [7.1.2], though slightly different builds).
Can anyone first please update me as to whether At&t is supporting wifi calling on a Pixel XL ?
Also, since the phone was purchased directly from Google, why would the wifi calling option not be in the settings? If it were purchased from At&t and they do not (yet) support wifi calling on this phone, I could see why they would hide that feature in the settings, but it's a Google phone ready, willing, and able to be run on any network...!?
Please help educate me on this issue!
Thanks.

At&t is not supporting it on their network. Being that you have a Google version, put a Verizon or TMobile Sim in and Volte with wifi calling will work.

From everything that I have seen wifi calling will NOT work on att.
Just with the Pixel phones though, right? I believe another friend has an iPhone (6S, maybe) which is running on At&t and wifi calling does seem to work on that. So, what gives? Do you know?
Thanks

At&t supports wireless calling for their own branded phones-- iPhones, Galaxy s6,7,8, etc. The pixel will not work with WiFi calling and a few other features on at&t.

Hi,
(I did not know if I should use <DEV> or <MOD> in the title, so please update with appropriate tag)
AT&T is dropping 3G support soon, so my Samsung S4 (i337) will not longer work when they do.
But I have my S4 setup the way I want (rooted, Xprivacy, etc) and do not want to switch to a newer phone.
So, if any developer can figure out how to enable HD Voice on my phone, I offer $250 if you can get it working on AT&T network. The S4 Mini supports HD Voice, but for some reason the i337 doesn't.
With my research, I was able to get only so far to the setting to enable HD Voice, but it seems some system files need to be added/modified to enable this feature fully:
[Q] [AT&T] How do we enable HD voice calling
