[ASK] Cant install play store on CM 10

excuse me, i downloaded cm 10 ROM's, and first i want to install play store, ofc i directly downloaded google play store apk, after i install that apk, google play store wont open, i already reboot, reinstall, and try to download from another source but play store still wont open, any1 can help me please?

You need to flash gapps
The gapps link is on the cm10 post

do one work
go back to the thread of cm 10
and find something called as gapps
this file is necessary to be flashd to get ur playstore back...... it will be in the thread

Google updated the Play Store to the latest version 4.0.25.
Attached is the apk that you can install and upgrade to the latest. :good: The update will run for any phone or tablet running Android 2.2 or better.

Yep. Older version would be just replaced.

So i think the new Play looks more like the old market than the old play.
I haven't used the new play so much, but the old one wasn't that fast, too. everytime i downloaded some updates lets say 4 the complete Desire stucks.

Install failed
I been trying to install the new google play for over an hour and every time it fails any ideas i removed the old version.

Copy the apk in /system/app, set its permissions to match the other apps in that folder, then reboot.

Play Store 4.0.26

use an app like systemcleanup to move play store back to system/app, or do it manually with root filer explorer as above.
tested and seems to work fine (still nothing under categories here in UK as expected, yet to fully roll out, but otherwise everything works fine). clear app data and cache if it throws up errors.

Agreed and I'm nog very fond of it. Ever since they changed it to play in stead of market...

have no problems eighter. it also updated it selfe to the new Version. I like much more

the changes aren't that major, mainly cosmetic as far as i can tell and from initial 'reviews'
very easy to install the apk just to have a look though. if you're still having it crashing, try clearing data and cache of play store in manage apps.

Unfortunately, Google Play Store Has Stopped

Hi,
since a few days now every time I want to run Play Store i gets " Unfortunately, Google Play Store Has Stopped" :/
I've tried clearing cache and data - no luck, force stop - no luck; downgrade - it worked and I had stock version of Play Store (uhm, odd feeling seeing that version ) but after a short while (i guess it auto-updated itsefl?) the issue returned and I'm again unable to access Play Store :/
Any idea what's happening? Possible (different solutions)?

If your running a theme, try returning to stock theme.
Otherwise you may need to flash an older play store.APK zip in recovery

tho - bollocks as the system theme is a bit so-so - prefere Thyrus Black... would update to it fix the issue with play store?

Hello,
Do you have any tips to install the gapps framework for Moto M XT1662 Android 6? (more details on the version please the picture)
There is no root nor recovery available for this app so far.
I need the four apps:
-Google Account Manager
-Google Services Framework
-Google Play Services
-Google Play Store
I have tried to download the apks from apkmirror but this solution does not work. Keeps giving me error:
"Youtube won't run without Google Play service, which are missing from your device"
When clicking "INSTALL" it should invoke Google Play Store, but this app does not work.
Clearing cache also does not work.
Please, any suggestions?

Hello, sorry for such a late response. I could assume you changed your mobile or found your own solution. But in case not, the way to go would be a package you have to install using recovery or fastboot mode. This must be prepared by a dev or somebody who knows how to deal with the file permissions and pack the apps you need properly so the flashing works. the apps must be in system level, that is why installing the apks does not solve your problem.

Hope it helps! I ve read other Tuts and no one mentions file permissions and the check-in service. Thankfully @pavlepiramida put together a flashable zip for me!

@Zeroblood i m facing problem in signing into xda developers app i use Google to sign in and i click on g+ logo nothing happens so i restored my ROM with gapps :crying:

Many google apps don't work with microg, it might be the reason, u can create a id and password on xda directly.

Xda one app that you will have a problem with. Easy fix is to go to xda through the browser and change your password. Then go back to xda app. Login with your username and pass. Don't try to click th G icon it won't work now that you are using microg.
What other apps are you using that are giving you a problem?

Its better to add what apps are working which apps are not working in OP, so that people don't report them again.
It would be good if you add that backup and sync zip to OP, as few people like me backup contacts on google.

I haven't listed any because I haven't had any issues with any gapps I use.
Export your contacts to your sim or export your contact file to your cloud storage. You can also download Google contacts from Play Store and APP OP it.
The point of all of this is to reduce wakelock, slim down your ROM and tell Google to mind their business. I didn't add contact sync because it is one of the services that frequently run even when sync is turned off. Ween off Google. Easy is not always right.

Ok bro, by the way your zip's gsm is a little outdated, current version is 0.2.4-81 and u provide 0.2.4-79 . I don't think it matters much.

Do you mean the back end plugins? Unifiednlp is part of the gsm core for what i read on MicroG. Which plugins did you find worked the best? I've been busy with work to test out which one works the best. Good idea though. Ill put the backends in the zip hopefully tonight.

Play store showing, I on latest version, which version are you talking.
You got struck because google drive doesn't work on microg, you will have to find another way to restore your data.
