[Q] ROMs & Kernels to recommend - Samsung Galaxy W I8150

Hey guys, I'll be receiving my Galaxy Wonder in less than 4 days. Is there a ROM and Kernel to recommend for me knowing that I do abit of Dead Space and Modern Combat gaming and mostly using Social network apps?,
I was going for CM9 since its stable but im used to 4.2.2 with my mini 2. Then i saw 4.4 but i see it as a "game lagger" cos all those Google Apps do use system resources and lots of em'
Anything to recommend?

DISCUSSION ABOUT ROM FOR DAILY USE (Most Stable and Smooth)

Many people using Android handset confused about making decision on which rom they will be using for daily activities...
Gio, as middle devices, has gotten upgrade from Froyo to Gingerbread, and the ported developed ICS rom still seems pretty difficult to be used for daily activity coz the problems of camera, video acceleration, and else...
But overall, even the ICS has excellent performance, still cannot wait for the more excellent release! (major dev: Macław #Work Hard!)
Let's share all things to make the handset stable and smooth for daily use!
SO LET'S NOW SETTLE THIS PROBLEM BY SOLVING TOGETHER
WHAT'S WORTH TO BE DISCUSSED, LET'S DISCUSS IT HERE
Which rom are u using?
How's the battery performance?
is it stable and smooth for daily use?
Please share, from inexperienced to experienced, tips and tricks or something related to the rom that stable and smooth, or ways to make it stable and smooth!
DXKT8 STOCK ROM *FAST LINK*
-*DOWNLOAD AVAILABLE*-
have u guys tested the newest version of stock like dxkt8?
it has the galaxy note lockscreen i heard
if you wanna try, this is the link for the dxkt8, not having problem, just have to increase the performance by custom rom and maybe a boost memory by a2sd darktremor. . . (hehe. . . a bit advertising?)

Which from are u using?
Stock 2.3.6 open germany
How's the battery performance?
Normal, bit better due to tweaking
is it stable and smooth for daily use?
Yes. Stock =stability, at the cost of performance so I use tweaks to get them both

CM9 has been very smooth for me. I use it daily. But I'm starting to experience random freezes in beta 8. Thinking about switching back to beta 7
Adrenaline rom is great in every aspect.
Using Gingerbread 2.3.6. Smooth, fast and battery performance is good. 2days using it's basis phone features and a lil bit of angry birds>
Stock with custom kernel. There's nothing better yet.

Beta 8 isn't particularly stable for me. Even though it is very smooth, it has random crashes and freezes for me along with many other bugs.
Adrenaline ROM 2nd Edition
it's pretty stable and the best part is if you manage to configure it well you can make it really smooth and with battery lasting for 1 day and half...
you can say its too low but considering to the use i give to it is awesome
i tried almost all the roms, kernels, and configs for Gio but seems i've finaly managed one that fits my style, lots of battery without any lag at all
If you interested in more details say something )
You can finde more details in general... opened a thread with full details

Gingerbread over ICS/JB ROMs?

At the risk of getting flamed, how come the most popular ROM (MildWild) is based on GB? I myself have a ICS/JB and the performance and stability is far above that of GB when it came to my SGS2 custom ROM experience. I'm going to guess that it's simply the best ROM?
For me it was simple, jb looks great, and performed quickly on my phone, but not everything worked. Using a 3rd party app for video recording was a simple solution for one problem that I had, but BBC iPlayer didn't work for me, add a few other niggles and it just wasn't worth it for me, though I still have a nandroid backup if I feel like a quick look again

I think the most common problem is the lack of internal memory and ram that keeps Desire Users from updating to ICS/JB since most of the bigger apps need much storage and run instable.
Tried ICS too and went back to my CM7.
If you're looking for a ICS/JB ROM, go for VJ's CM10.1 port. Pretty decent
Yes the VJ ROM is very nice and fast but I love gaming and the ROM doesn't run hard games ... So for now I'm using Alex 1.8 ROM modded , nice and stable but not that fast as VJ Rom but I can bare with that for now .. when in VJ's ROM hard games will run , I will go back on it

[Poll] Which ROM are you using daily basis.

With getting Samsung Note II (GT-7100) more n more popular to the android users n ROM developers, we can see a lot of ROM options coming out of the box daily with more or less added features. On one side this excites advanced users to try those ROM n play around but it clearly becomes confusion for the new users who want to try for the first time, obviously they would go for the most stable/used one by xda users.
With that intention starting this thread, hope this will go fine. [this is not an evaluation].
[already searched the thread, similar posts are there for other phones but none for GT-7100]
With due respect to all the developers for their hard work n tine spent on building....developing...n....updating the ROM s.
NOTE: Please use the POLL options for voting....If u have something to say particular "mention that in comment".

I mean arhd and wanam are a model roms. Very light and optimized and not much edited.
Or like monxdified or phoenix. They are so beautiful modified and optimized.

It's pretty amazing, eh.
Why you no poll, though?
On Wanamite lite v1.1 for my N7105. wit Perseus kernel.
Amazing combo. super fast and really battery friendly.
only complaint is both Kernel and Rom not update very frequently but since they work so great now.
So doesn't matter at all.

[Q] What Now?

Hell0,
I got my Nexus 7 today and it just updated to 4.4.2. Please suggest me any best combination of Rom and Kernal.
I shall use it for study purpose including playing some 3D games and to enjoy the best experience.

You don't really need a special ROM or kernel to do that for the most part. But if you're fishing for suggestions, I prefer stock ROM with Dalvik+Bionic libs and Xposed+GravityBox, with francos kernel so far.
Everyone is going to have their preferences, so be prepared to see a bunch in 3...2...1...
Thanks for reply. I think, as per my usage, I don't have to go in deep. I might use nova launcher and go locker.

Good idea !
For me: CM11 (nightlies)
(It's not for fun....My own Reasons: much more lighten than stocks ,no frills but all usefulls parameters ,no heat the phone....and principal reason :this rom suck less baterry than stocks)
But why "other" ??? There are others roms that we don't know?
stock deodexed rom FTW.
I flash custom roms just to discover and report bugs that i come across in my usage. I agree that aosp based roms are lightweght , bloatfree and fluid. But the biggest issue I have is below average battery life and inconsistent performance.
But if anyone wants suggestions here are mine :: spirit rom , carbon , slimkat , finally cm11. Thanks to devs for working on the ROMs. ?
I'm using stock rom right now, too afraid to brick device or mess something up.
I am running stock too!
And waiting for cm 12 to be better than the present bild!
I am running stock. May anybody tell me if camera takes photos with the same quality on developers roms like on stock one?
