In crdroid, several versions, currently:
cm_11_cristiano/cm-11-20140527-UNOFFICIAL-i927.zip
pa_gapps-modular-mini-4.4.2-20140531-signed.zip
..no call history appears in dialer. I also tried dialer apps, but those all go through the android dialer.
I tried with default and google launcher, and SMS App as either google hangouts or messaging.
I fixed permissions, cleared history, disabled and re-enabled dialer and android app that looked like it might handle storage of history.
I will try bubor's cm 11.

question: version 2.0 of what??
The ROM.
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda premium
Is there a download link? the one on the actual post says it isn't working. Also, am I suppose to install 2.0 then install the latest version right?
Not to jump in on the MIUI questions, but I have one as well...
I rely a lot on Go SMS because of its individual notification settings for different contacts. In the previous version of this rom, though, the stock messaging app was overriding Go SMS's settings no matter if it was selected as the default messaging app. Anybody else have this problem and can offer a solution?

I haven't tried it with GO SMS, but to get TabletTalk to work I had to disable MMS Priority in the MIUI messaging settings. If you haven't tried that already, I suggest trying that.
I know it's not a definite fix, but I figured an idea is better than nothing

I'm actually not on MIUI at the moment, but the next time I flash it (probably soon), I'll let you know if that works. Thanks for the tip!

I tried this ROM out today as well and did not flash to 2.0 first.
I only made sure to factory rest/wipe cache/dalvik and then format system, data, cache and sdcard.
After that, I flashed from external sdcard the latest version of the ROM and had no issues (aside from the usual needing to reboot the phone once to restore data connectivity).
I hope this helps :fingers-crossed:
Might as well ask another general MIUI question....lol.
Most other ROM's handle Google Voice integration pretty well. For example, when I place a phone call, my call log shows the person's actual number, not the random number Google used to make the integration work.
With MIUI, though, my call log shows that random number instead. Anybody happen to know why that's to case, and if there's a way around it?
Thanks!
Hello, I am having a rather odd problem. It seems like anything that uses time on my phone, won't update.
Whenever I check my lock screen (Pattern), the lock screen clock shows the last time I unlocked my phone, and only updates to this time I unlocked. (7:10 when it is really 8 for example. Then next time 8;01 when it really is 8:30 and so on.)
Also, it seems my widgets using time also do no update. My clock still says 7:00. (HD widgets)
Any ideas why this may happen? Multiple searches on Google did not help. Thank you in advance.
Edit; I also did reboot many times, and I have tried force stopping my alarm clock/ lock screen and widgets. Doesn't help.

Have you tried clearing caches from recovery?
What ROM are you using?
Do you have any Xposed mods installed?

I am on stock with unicon xposed module, kitkat toast back port, and advanced power menu.
I figure it out though, after wiping the cache and dalvik cache it fixed itself. I just wanna know what caused it. That is extremely weird.

That is kind of weird. I would to try to reproduce it because I too am on stock, but I am unfmamiliar with Unicon and Kit Kat toast, are those on the xda thread and not the repo?
Also, since you are also on stock: any idea how to enable emoji support in the stock messaging app? hangouts sucks, it keeps giving me flak and not downloading MMS messages.

Kitkat Toast message is in the downloads section of the closed module.
Unicon is on the play store, but it use to be a free module called "Icon Themer".
On the emoji thing; Honestly, all I did was download the Change APN app from the play store and entered the APN people were using on the ART ROM port. For some reason that one let's you use any messaging app on stock. Weird, I know but it works. Actually everything works on that APN. (I used the original one, not the others ones that said "if this one doesn't work, try this APN")
After using the APN edit, I personally use 8Sms as my texting app. It is the same as the old cm10/10.2 texting app with emoji support. Pretty awesome. Much faster than hangouts (on stock).
This APN

Sorry, one more set of pictures.
Here is the app. It also has quick reply and turn on screen when getting a message. Pretty cool.
Here is it in action working with the APN.
Just flashed Santod's GPE ROM 5.0.1
SMS and Phone works fine. FB Messenger works fine.
What hasn't been working for me seems random:
- On Twitter the tweets will load but none of the images. Neither avatars nor attached photos in Twitter load.
- Bacon Reader, my reddit app, will either crash upon load or crash when I open a post to view comments
- Spotify crashes instantly on load up. I just get a report or close option when it crashes
- Snapchat opens but videos will neither play nor record. When I try to record it says "Failed to record"
I've only had this ROM for a little over a day so that's all I'm aware of for now. Any insight into why this is happening would be much appreciated. :good:
Keep in mind, not all apps have been updated for L compatibility yet.
My friend has the same apps on his stock lollipop and they run fine.

Gpe is not the same as your everyday aosp like nexus devices get. Because of that different issues can occur in this that don't affect aosp.

Twitter, Snapchat, and Spotify, all work for me just fine.
Only app I haven't tried is the reddit one you mentioned.
I did see someone having similar Snapchat issues on another lollipop ROM, until they formatted their storage, fwiw.
So I would say your issues are local to your device and not the ROM.
I'm not sure how to format. Whats FWIW?
Edit: looked it up...

Did the format fix your problem? I have the same issues, snapchat being my biggest problem. Along with reddit news and instagram crashing, titanium backup won't load either. In ES file explorer all my folders show up as empty but when I plug in to my PC everything is there. Also if the format did work could you help me out with doing that? I have nothing worth saving on the phone memory so I'm not worrying about losing anything. Thanks guys!
Edit: Figured it out all I needed was a format. Sorry should have tried it first.

OP5t A5010_43_180613
OxygenOS: 5.1.3
Android: 8.1.0
Root: Magisk v16.0
OEM: Unlocked
Bootloader: Unlocked
Recovery: TWRP
No custom ROM
DETAILS:
I’ve done some cursory searching here on XDA and across the wider interwebs and I’m hoping someone reading this can provide some insight, or, at the very least, help me to better understand an issue I’m experiencing.
I have a rooted OP5t running OxygenOS - no special ROMs (as mentioned at the top of this post).
At some point after initially rooting my device (purchased Jan 2018), I was able to disable Chrome, Youtube, Community (OnePlus), Duo, Play Movies & TV, Play Music and a host of other pre-packaged apps I never use. Since then, I have been able to use my OP5t with no issues. I simply use the apps I use, get updates from Play and carry-on with life. In general, if an app I do not use has the option to disable it [via Settings > Apps > Application List > $AppInfo], I have disabled it; otherwise, I have used Titanium Backup’s “Freeze” option.
That is, until last night. (Sidenote: Someday I’ll learn to leave well enough alone!)
Last night I decided that I wanted to be finally rid of the apps I don’t use. So, for starters, I uninstalled Chrome and Youtube via Titanium Backup and stopped there. All went well until I attempted to open GMail. Gmail FC’d. I tried another app, it FC’d too. WTH?
So, this morning I decided, “Okay, let’s restore these from Titanium and see which of these is potentially causing the other apps to FC.” The process for restoring Chrome took ages (my god it’s an unwieldingly huge app!) but I finally got them both it and YouTube restored, along with their respective data. Whew! Cool. I tested the other apps and got no FC! \0/ <(YAY!) Cool. So, I set about disabling YouTube. With YouTube successfully disabled, I tested my other apps and nothing is FCing. Great!
I then set my sights on Chrome: No dice. When I disable Chrome, other apps FC. (Damn) Fine. I’ll enable it and restrict its data use and block its access via firewall. Cool. That works. So, I end up slightly close to where I started last night, except I can’t disable Chrome again.
Is Chrome that interwoven into AOSP that I can no longer disable it?
I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this issue and has success in disabling the prepackaged Chrome on OP5t.
Thanks in advance!
Because it is enabled as webview.check in developer option.

Thanks for that lead. Here's what I'm seeing, but first, current status:
I have Chrome disabled (and Force Stopped). I attempt to open GMail and it FCs.
In looking at Settings > Developer Options > Webview implementation, I now see Android System Webview 65.0.3325.109 as selected (checked) and the entry for Chrome 67.0.3396.87 is greyed out.
If I enable Chrome, Gmail doesn't FC and (in Webview) Chrome 67.... is selected (checked) while Android System Webview is greyed out.
In either scenario, the greyed out option also notes "(disabled for $user)" - which makes some sense. Kinda. [shrug?]
I'm guessing (although, admittedly without good reason) that the two Webview implementations are not compatible.
Any idea where to go from here? (I'll be searching for Webview implementations in another window).
Thanks in advance.
Is your Android System WebView updated? Mine shows v68.0.3440.40
Chrome implementation is not good in oos,I wrote about it many times but it never got fixed. Fix for me was to use hydrogen os based Roms ?

Maybe the best option for you is a AOSP ROM... I use Dirty Unicorns, very smooth and fast and clean of Google apps...
Much better than OOS

I'm not certain about it but I think since Oreo onwards webview was changed from Android Webview to Chrome Webview hence if you manage to crash Chrome, then all apps that utilize the Chrome Webview will crash respectively, I can personally vouch for this cause I remember I had accidently tried updating Chrome with an ARM version of the app and all my apps using Chrome Webview crashed and when I finally realized and updated it with ARM64 it worked flawlessly.
What I derived from this is if you managed to break Chrome Webview it crashes a whole lot of Google Apps. I don't know if there is a work around for this you look around for Micro G Apps which could theoretically replace the Chrome Webview; however, you're on OOS I'm not sure if that combination would work.
Using OB10 and it's normal, lol
So to get rid of the whole square bubbles problem I have installed a previous messenger apk that has bubbles.
But even though I have automatic updates on play store turned off, after a couple of hours I check and the messenger in already updated through play store to the latest version. Anyone knows what could be wrong?
Is there any other option I have to turn off so that the app doesnt auto update? Thanks in advance.
Anyone?

nothing I can think of now but have you tried getting system updates or moving to Xiaomi EU custom rom? cuz fixing that problem by just sticking to an old app ver isn't really the ultimate solution
Well, you could still uninstall updates "I have never had a MIUI, so not sure about" that

Flashing a custom rom to solve that is an option I have no time to bother to do so. It could create more trouble for me than just an app auto updating without me wanting to.
Android 12 introduced a native API for chat bubbles, and now all apps can make use of this API - SMS apps, internet messaging apps, and Messenger chose to switch from their own bubbles implementation to Android 12's native one as well.
A user on reddit made a modified Messenger apk, which makes Messenger believe it is installed on an earlier Android version, without native chat bubbles. This makes Messenger use its own bubbles implementation. This obviously cannot be updated through the Play Store, so it won't suddenly revert to the official APK.
