Hellllllllllllp :( - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Okay i have been gone for a while but I'm hoping you guys can help me out.
Long story short i was in the Bahamas last week and got engaged. took tons of pictures with my factory note 3 tmobile. i dropped it and broke the screen. completely black screen and cracks. when i try to connect it to the laptop i can sometimes get it started to where the led turns blue and i can hear the t mobile jingle but then i get the little vibration and it feels to me like it gets stuck in a boot loop. please guys i was once a very active member and probably could figured this out on my own but i could really use some help! thanks in advanced!!!

You didn't say but my guess is that you want to recover some data.
R1. Starting with it off, press and hold the volume up and the home button, then press the power button until the short vibration. Wait about five more seconds then release the other two buttons.
R2. It should now be in Recovery mode. Try ADB.
D1. If no access through ADB then do paragraph R1 again but instead of volume up, press volume down.
D2. After releasing all buttons in D1, press and release volume up.
D3. It should now be in Download mode. Try ADB.

Thanks brother... I'm going to give that a try

If you have an mhl adapter, you can try to connect it to your tv before you power on (while trying to boot into recovery). That might show you what would be on your screen. I have no idea though. Just a suggestion.

[Q] Volume up + Volume down

Hey lads,
this is probably a very dumb Q, but since I am new to all this android schmuzzle and couldn't find ballocks on that, don't judge me too hard ;]
I've noticed that when u press both VolUp and VolDown ( put pressure kinda in the middle or the rocker ) the phone vibrates once and then after several seconds (seems to vary) it vibrates three times fast. Now what the flick is that? Not that much of a big deal but it gets annoying given that even when the screen is off and the phone is locked doesn't seem to give a damn
thanks
has happened to me too but hard to reproduce. I have no ideas why it happens. Sometimes it occurs when the phone is booting up for me as well.
Put ur finger in the middle of the rocker and press ( not even hard ). It happens every time in my case. even when the phone is locked
I get the same behaviour, sure is strange.
Kinda old thread but I didn't want to start a new one either. I've noticed this too by accident. When you turn off your screen and press both volume buttons at the same time it vibrates once and every other time twice or thrice. If it vibrates only once it will vibrate again a couple of times after about 10 seconds. Has someone found a reason to this already?

Maybe HTC thought "Why not? Let's do this and see how they discuss about it." ^^

These buttons are part of combimation of three finger salute (at least look like that)...if you press voulme up + Down and power button, phone will reboot....so might be vibration is just an indicator to show go ahead and press the power button for restart.......Just a Guess
Pressing Volume Up + Down simultaneously while having USB Debugging turned on creates a bug report in the bugreports folder on your SD card.

This is correct, there's always a new bugreport after I press the volume buttons. I don't think that it's even necessary to have usb debugging on.
Thanks for the quick answers, but could there be something more to it?

Nope, can't get it to reboot. Perhaps this is rom related?

It shouldn't be, but its really hard to get it if you are trying to press three button, you can try power button and middle vol button......any ways I also tried lot of times before I got my first reboot....
1) Pressing both VOL UP & VOL DOWN at the same time = Vibrations & all processes' states and stacktraces dumped to /data/arn/traces.txt (thanks to alind_)
2) Pressing both VOL UP & VOL DOWN at the same time + POWER BUTTON once = instant reboot
Works for me with CM7 and Stock Sense.

Brick maybe?

Hello there, I was installing Recovery using this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746682, I only went up to the first part of unrooting the phone where it asks me to connect my and install te recovery, my phone after the root did not want to turn on. I tried using the Volume +/- along with the home key, nothing, it just vibrates and nothing. I tried pulling out the battery and the same thing happened, no matter what I did, it vibrates and won't turn on. Also when I hook it up to the charger and try turning on it vibrates and it keeps vibrating in loops, around 2-3 sec apart. What is wrong with my phone? Please don't tell me it's a brick, I just got it yesterday ;p

I think this kit is honestly the easiest way to brick your phone. There are simply too many options, most of them have no real use for this phone, and the free version never gets updated. Honestly think it's a bad move for people who are new to the game.
To get in download mode:
Start with the phone off.
Press and hold the home button and volume down button.
Press the power button until the phone vibrates.
Release the power button.
To get in recovery mode.
Start with the phone off.
Press and hold the home button and volume up button.
Press the power button until the phone vibrates.
Release the power button.
Release the volume up and home button when the blue text appears in the top left corner of the screen.
If these won't work, you are bricked. Time for JTAG.
I agree 100%. That kit seemed pretty helpful for some when this was still pretty new, but recently it seems there are more reports of failures (or worse) than successes. When you get this fixed I suggest reading all the stickies and then take it from there.
Good luck

Exit boot screen

hi
i recently updated the firmware on my device and when i rebooted it, it didn't go into fast boot. I have tried holding the power button for 30 secs to 1 min but the strange thing is, i am able to change the volume and at one point I could tap the screen and hear keypad noises. i can also access the storage on my computer.
any ideas to exit this?
thanks
Try holding power button and volume up for about 30 seconds or so. When the screen goes dark to reboot, let go of those buttons and just hold volume down. Don't let go until the bootloader screen appears.
If it didn't work, it means you either pressed vol down too late, or let go of it too early. Just try again.
This usually works when folks have issues getting into bootloader.
I fixed it by holding the power button in then pressing the screen. I guess I hit shutdown

HTC One M8 stuck in boot loop, won't power off

Hey, so I was messing around with my phone and using TWRP, I deleted the original ROM and then, having forgotten that I'd deleted the ROM, tried to reboot the phone. My phone is now stuck on the HTC splash screen (which at the bottom has the text "This build is for development purposes only...") and won't turn off, despite me holding the power button for probably 1+ minutes. I'm planning to wait until the battery dies, then once I can boot again try to get into TWRP by holding the power button and volume down. Does anyone know if there's a way I can get to TWRP without having to wait until the battery dies (my phone is at full charge), or whether this will not work and I should try something else?
Thanks in advance!
Press and hold power & volume up buttons until the screen turn black then release both buttons and quickly press & hold volume down button only. This will get you to hboot

can not access recovery on htc one m8

What I basically need: I want to access recovery(or bootloader, I am not sure what its really called) to do a factory reset.
History of the problem: My little sister entered the pattern incorrectly too many times and now the phone is locked asking for gmail and password. Although I know it, but the phones wifi is disabled, so it says "wrong username or password" and hence I can not unlock it. I want to do a factory reset via the recovery but the phone is not going into it even though I press volume down + power(I also tried the volume up). USB debugging is off, and the device is not rooted... please help me, how can I get around this damn problem?

Power+vol down doesn't do anything (will not get you to bootloader) if the phone is on. This only works when the phone is powered off.
If power+vol up didn't go anything, it's probably because you didn't hold the buttons long enough. Hold power+vol up (and don't let go) until the screen goes dark (may take more than a minute in some conditions) meaning it is going to reboot. The moment the screen goes dark, let go of those buttons and only hold vol down. Don't let go, until the white bootloader screen appears. If you fail to get into bootloader (the phone just reboots, tried to go to OS) that means you didn't do the button combo correctly. Either you started pressing vol down too late, or let go too early. Just repeat the sequence until you get it right.
Thank you for replying
I said what you did, unfortunately it doesnt work

What doesn't work? I outlined a few steps. Need more details. The basic reboot sequence (holding power+vol up) does it reboot the phone or not?
This is hard coded into the device. It works in any condition short of a brick. It even works when the phone is powered off. The only time I've seen it fail is if your vol button or power button is broken.
ok, here is how it goes;
I turn the phone off
I press the voldown + power, the phone turns on, I release none of them, everything goes very normally, when the phone is at the lock screen, there is a messege on the display saying "to restart the phone, continue holding the power button for 3 seconds" and it counts down to 2 and then 1, it stops at 1, everything else is normal(except the home and back buttons have been flashing-turning on and off-since the start of the process). now I continue on holding both buttons until the phone autolocks, and here it goes to eternity, nothing happens form here just flashing home and back buttons..
I did the same process for volup+power. I did several times, each taking more than one minute..
and all my buttons are working, I can assure you of that..

when the phone is on at the lock screen, I have to swipe up, which takes me to a screen asking me for google username and password, and when I press the power button there, it displays the cummon box with 4 options; turn off, restart, airplane mode, and kid mode.
if I press the power button before swiping up, it displays the messege "To restart, continue holding the power button for 3 seconds" it counts down and stops at 1, just as I described before

Try picking restart. Then once the screen goes black, start holding (only) vol down. See if that gets you into bootloader.

lol. Your gratitude is enough.
Strange, I wonder why it didn't work when forcing a restart with button combo (power+ vol up). I don't think I've seen that issue you described, where the capacitive buttons are flashing.
Essentially, any time the phone reboots, if you hold vol down, it should go into bootloader. Or in the fully powered off condition, hold the vol down, and press and release power button (don't release vol down).
yeah, I read a tone about it and nothing worked. It seems my Htc is special
