[Q] GT-N7105 Optus can upgrade to 4.4.2 with Nordic Rom? - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All,
Here is my device info.
------------------------------------------------
GT-N7105
Baseband: N7105XXUEMK3
Kernel: 3.0.31-2138564 [email protected]#1
Build No: JSS15J.N7105XXUEMKA
-------------------------------------------------
Its region code is Optus (Australia). As Samsung said Note II can upgrade to Kitkat but the OTA always shows "This is the latest firmware"
I wonder how I can upgrade to Kitkat with Nordic stock rom? If so, are there any important steps before flashing this rom?
Pls help me

[Q] Help with Galaxy Note 2 N7100

Recently I bought a Galaxy Note 2 , and I installed the following firmware :
Model: GT-N7100
Country: Greece (Cosmote)
Version: Android 4.1.2
Changelist: N/A
Build date: N/A
Product Code: COS
PDA: N7100XXDMB2
CSC: N7100COSDMA2
MODEM: N7100XXDLK7.
After Installing that firmware the phones IME number did change and there is no network signal at all ,gives an error message cannot register to network.
Does anyone have some ideas of how to change the IME number , as well as get signal back on the phone.
Any help really appreciated.

I've read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2389426 looks like in order for you to fix that, is you need to have a back up of your efs. And I'm guessing you don't have one.
Try searching through google or here for a way to restore it without the back up. And you can try sending private msg. to experts like dr.ketan. Make sure to thank him if he helps you

back flashing from 4.4.2 GT-N7105 LTE

hey everybody,
i hope somebody can help and advise me on my dilema,
i have recently bought a note 2 GT-N7105 LTE from a friend who upgraded to a note 3 and the problem i have is a simple one,the device is locked to EE/Tmobile in the UK and i would like to unlock the bootloader so i can use any sim
from what i have read so far here on the forum i need to flash the existing rom which is 4.4.2 back to 4.1.1 before running the bootloader unlock method i found here on XDA
the information i need is that i was warned that back flashing from 4.4.2 may hard brick the device and would like some confirmation is this is true or not
the device is not rooted and has no custom recovery is pure stock so some advise and maybe even links to solve mt problem would be very much appreciated...thank you
p.s. i found this firmware on sammobile and would also like to ask if this will work for the unlocking process

You might have trouble getting an Odin flash to succeed due to the 4.4.2 rom and it's bootloader. Try to flash the device's 4.1.1 modem to allow the menu options needed to unlock the device. Once the unlock is completed you can flash the correct modem back to the device.
what you can do is flash the 4.1.1 modem which should give you the options you need to unlock.

hi guys , I have a black edition i9195 I need to update via Odin to work 4g , because with the coming rom the phone is not working. which is the last rom available for editing black in samsung-updates or sammovile?

What does PDA, CSC mean? which firmware do I choose

I want to upgrade my firmware but am unsure about the PDA and CSC.
I am currently using :
model number SM-N7505
android version: 4.3
baseband version: N7505ZHUAOC2
Kernel: 3.4.39-2823447
Build: JSS13J.N7505ZHUAOC2
I was looking for the PDA, CSC but I can't find a corresponding country/region. There is no ZHUA country so was wondering if anyone could help.
I understand that the last 3 letters refer to the time but the region is a mystery to me.
