I realize this is a double thread, but im having some issues using LGNPST.
I installed the drivers, and put my phone into download mode. I assume the drivers were included, since its an all in one program.
I try to run the program and it says the phones not connected.
I tried to replug the phone a couple of times. And i managed to get a nice IRQ_NOT_EQUAL_OR_LESS_TO BSoD.
So is LGNPST compatible with Windows 8?
Am i missing anything?

Either try a diff usb port or/and run it in compatibility mode (win 7 or xp)

Sweet success!
Problem was that the batch file was being denied access, even in admin mode.
Just had to physically run all commands in the console and it worked.
So after i installed the ATT update today my phone rebooted and went straight to the CWM based recovery screen. So i decided to start fresh and i did a factory reset. Now win8.1 won't recognize my phone. I've downloaded the latest driver from LG but that didn't help. Please help! This is my only phone and i have a sick mother who might call if she needs me!
Is it in cwm still? For it to be recognized in cwm you need all the adb/SDK tools I believe
Sent from my LG-E980 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Yes it's still in CWM. The only other screen i can make it goto is download mode.
ok so I downloaded the adb/sdk and tried using the drivers in the google/usb driver folder and it didn't work.. so im stuck. :crying:
Might be stupid question but you didn't have plugged into comp while installing did you? Stupid question 2: did you restart computer?
Sent from my LG-E980 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Yes to both questions
look in device manager and find the one with a yellow ! mark next to it in universal seriel bus when phone is plugged in and assign drivers manually.
If you had phone plugged in while installing drivers you shouldn't have. Plug in, find exclamation point, find drivers manually. Probably won't work. Right click, uninstall, unplug phone, install drivers again, restart comp plug in phone should work

I wanted to install an OtterX ROM,i've completed all of the steps in the Hashcode's manual, and I can't push the ROM to my Kindle through ADB.
there's a error "device not found" in the console.
How can I fix it?
Does command
adb devices
Work?

ADB can't recognise Kindle.
"List of devices attached" - clear.
Problem with drivers,maybe?
There are no Android drivers at all,on this PC.
You never installed kindle drivers?

I've installed them on old PC with WinXP,and now I have a new one with Win8...
Can you send the right ones?

"device not found" is almost always a drivers issue
What windows version?
Win8.1
first shot - what does Kindle seems when booted into recovery :"Amazon OtterX"
second - fastboot, "Kindle"
It says that there are no drivers for both.

1. Open the charm bar and go into Settings and at the bottom click on Change PC Settings.
2. Go to the General tab and at the very bottom click on ‘Restart now’ under the Advanced startup.
3. Choose the Troubleshoot option followed by Advanced options.
4. Choose Startup settings then on next screen click on ‘restart’.
Windows 8 will now reboot and you can go ahead and install the Kindle ADB drivers

Latest boot loader 2.05, latest recovery 2.7.1 just need to adb push ROM. I was on 2.7.0.1 recovery should have left it on that before flashing latest recovery. Since I was able to access sdcard than.
