[Q] Need to flash firmware and radio - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey,
I need to flash firmware and radio.
I am on ARHD 7 with PhilZ Touch 6.
Since i upgraded to ARHD 7 i've got very bad radio connectivity.
I've been browsing the forums to search for a firmware and radio file for my modelID and CID. I am unable to find them.

Are there any files around that i can use?
I am kinda lost in the process...
Thanks in advance,

I've been thinking of going back to stock to get the latest update and then go back to ARHD! But i need some confirmation on this.
I am learning/reading myself into the getting back to stock procedure using the guide mike refers to in his ARHD post. ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265618 )
I have to go by the first method i guess, since method 2 and 3 are a no go. Can't find the RUU needed for method 2. And the nandroid backup i had done before flashing custom recovery and rom got deleted once all that worked fine!
So...
I've downloaded the following as mentioned in the guide. ( http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.nl/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html )
- Download stock odexed 1.54.4015
- Download stock recovery 1.54.401.5
Procedure should be as below, if i am correct.
1. Place (One_M8_1.54.401.5_odexed.zip) file on virtual SDCard.
2. Get (recovery.img) file from Flash_recovery_1.54.401.5.rar and place it in fastboot folder. -- Or should i unrar the whole package and run the batch file as step 4.!?
3. Boot device in recovery, install zip (One_M8_1.54.401.5_odexed.zip) file.
4. Reboot device in bootloader, use cmd <fastboot flash recovery recovery.img>
5. Relock bootloader, use cmd <fastboot oem lock>
6. Reboot device? Get updates etc...

Any feedback please...? I am kinda worried I **** things up!

Above worked, no OTA though... Kept searching for updates, unlocked bootloader tried again and said there are no updates available.
So dumb that i've deleted the stock nandroid backup!
Guess i'll never really find out what version I originally had.

[Q] Broken recovery HTC M8 (Devil's Loop)

Hei guys I managed to **** up my HTC M8 pretty bad (I think..)
I had a rooted M8 with 4.4.4 so 5.0.2 came out a few days ago and I tried to update my phone today. To do so I wanted to unroot my phone so I did the following things:
1. I did a factory reset using the option in Clockworkmod
2. I flashed the stock recovery to my phone
3. I (re)locked my bootloader
The problem is something seems to be wrong with the flashed recovery, Factory Resetting or booting into recovery just restarts the phone and the OTA also just reboots the phone. Unlocking the bootloader and CHECK SMARTSD also won't work anymore..
I really don't know what to do now/where to ask for help..
Here is some information I can provide:
Bootloader looks like this:

Hope you can help me, thanks for reading.
Unrooting and relocking the bootloader was a useless move. OTA accepts rooted phones and with bootloader unlocked. OTA needs a stock recovery and a clean system.
What you can do is flash via adb TWRP and restore a working backup of your firmware.
P.S. Delete your IMEI and SERIAL NUMBER from your post.

Your firmware appears to be up to date. Are you using an older version recovery? Update to TWRP 2.8.4.0 or 2.8.5.0, then try flashing a Lollipop ROM again.
i have TWRP 2.8.5.0 ! , Thanks For your concern
When I said Factory Reset/Wipe data in stock recovery in other thread, I meant stock recovery not TWRP. Did you really do that ?
The next thing you can try is to flash the signed firmware again .. it may fix your problem too.
If you can't find one, I have that firmware.

You read wrongly. For S-On device, can flash only a signed firmware. For your device version you can flash an untouched firmware that I have here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58769132&postcount=4591
1. Make a nandroid backup for the ROM that you have now (you need that later)
2. put your device in bootloader/fastboot mode
3. relock bootloader - fastboot oem lock
4. run these commands
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip 4.18.708.12_firmware.zip
fastboot flash zip 4.18.708.12_firmware.zip .....( again for the 2nd time)
fastboot reboot
5. check your wifi
6. If it's good then boot to bootloader, unlock bootloader with the unlock_code.bin
7. flash latest TWRP 2.8.5.0
8. restore your backup
If the wifi still no good ... try my backup that I linked above. If still no good ... I'm out of idea to help you.

Sensor_hub ... Damaged ... Any solution ?

Hi guys, i screwed up .... Was trying to go back to STOCK version and i think i screwed up the sensors --> Auto-Rotate doesn't work, Flashlight too, take 2 seconds to show the screen if it was off --> (by clicking the power button), double tap doesn't work too.
So i tried to go to stock, erase everything etc .... Nothing is working. Any help ? Please ...

Excellent, you're on the international version. However, your post includes some private information (unique identifiers) that -for your privacy and safety - shouldn't be posted. Please, either delete your post, or edit it to remove the serial number and imei.
Many people have complaints about the latest update to marshmallow, with similar system problems. For example, sensors not working properly, camera malfunction, screen malfunction, inaccessible internal & external memories, and or, sudden death
My proposed solution is simple: RE-flash your firmware & rom from stock source, then hardreset your phone to factory condition.
Cheers.

Following is a link to HTC's official stock RUU, and instructions to flash it. This will install your phone's current firmware/software from scratch.
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24369303960687057
To flash the RUU zip file:
A. You need to put it at the root of your SD CARD and rename it to 0P6BIMG.zip (first character is a zero, and careful not to rename it to 0P6BIMG.zip.zip)
B. Turn your phone off, then start it into bootloader. It will recognize the 0P6BIMG.zip file and give you instructions in RED for proceeding forward.
C. Follow the instructions in RED to flash. You will lose all data as the RUU will format all partitions.
Cheers
shirreer posted the best way to flash it, so I'm just gonna add here, I bought a GSM M8, originally an Australian variant (0P6B11000) and I S-OFF'd it and converted it to the Intl version with 6.12.401.4 and it's very stable, everything works fine, including double tap, flashlight, auto rotate and all other features. Only thing that sucks is the extremely horrible battery life, which was somewhat fixed with a re-calibration, but it still drains.
Ok i am gonna trying it AGAIN actually. Already done your solution. Last time i have done this, it was bypassing the sensor_hub, which is super weird. But i'll let you know. Downloading it right now, and going to flash it soon.
Edit After Flashing :
Sensor_hub; TP (2); SBL1 (3) are bypassed....
So yea... still same situation i flashed it as you said and explained. Sensor hub is bypassed. I hard reset as you said. Nothing changed... So basically .... i am screwed ....
No one has an answer for me ?..... Come on guys .... there must be something .... FYI bluetooth not working i think.

Wiped system in twrp

Hi
I was wondering if anyone can help. Basically, my m8mwas playing up, so i decided to do a factory reset. Then there was a problem with the internal storage, where, even though i fixed permissions, i couldn't save files in the storage or access it. So i came back to the recovery and things went bad, 'cause somehow i completely lost it, and whem doing the wipe, i have wiped the system.
So the rest of the story is, that i found this guide, on how to re-lock the bootloader to do the ruu restore, which failed big time, each time coming to the 12 error, signature verification failed.
What i have in the bootloader is

Device stuck in fastboot

Hey guys
like described in the thread title, i need a little help here, i got a HTC one M8, thats stock in fastboot.
it will not bootup to anything else than fastboot and RUU. no custom recovery is working or any rom.
i have read multiple threads by now and look 3 days and i can't find the right RUU for the device at all.
If someone could point me in the right direction here i would be grateful
here the getvar:

and ofc. a screenshot of the bootloader
for the steps to do here:
since device is S-ON, i need to relock the bootloader with fastboot oem lock
using the HTC_fastboot.exe with command prompt to get the device into RUU mode and after that flashing the correct RUU for it, after renaming the .zip itself to RUU.zip, right?
or is there any other way to get the device back to stock or at least a custom recovery / root whatever to set the device S-OFF?
i know the topic was here multiple times, but since device isn't mine and i really don't know what exactly was done before with it, i need a helping hand here.
any fitting android version, 5.0.1 or 6.0 would be fine, since the device will get root and later on S-OFF and a custom recovery and another nougat based android version.
as long as i can boot up with root, i would appreciate every help here.
Cheers
Mike
1. This device is not M8 but M8s.
2. There is no way to S-Off this device currently. Not supported by Sunshine.
3. There is no Nougat rom for M8s, only Marshmallow as current latest.
4. You shouldn't relock bootloader before you have a correct RUU in hand.
5. I know a lower RUU version is available for free but won't work on your device due to S-On
6. No same version but higher version 2.11.161.1 is available but will cost money
7. If you can unlock bootloader then you can restore 1.11.161.10 twrp backup and then OTA to current version 1.21.161.1 and OTA up to the latest.
