[Q] Help installing Themes on T-Mobile G2

Hello, I recently changed my old hd2 to the new G2 phone from T-mobile.My G2 is already rooted. I'm totally new with my G2 and i would like to receive a little bit of help from you experts in developing mobile engineering in installing custom themes or roms on the G2.
Thanks!
There are guides to follow in the Development forum on how to flash ROMS. Standard themes will be the same method,... unless they are "Metamorph" themes,.. but the publisher will explain if they are.

thank u, i think im gonna have to do a little bit more research

Will virtuous sense 2.0.0 be updated in future?

Hey guys,
I'm not allowed to post in the development forum yet. So putting my question here.
I've been using the virtuous sense Rom on my desire z since past couple of months and just love it. No other rom has come close to its smoothness and usability. I wanted to know whether the development on this rom has been stopped or is the team planning to update it anytime soon.
Will really appreciate if someone has any info.

I'm not affiliated with the virtuous team, but I don't think there will be any relevant updates in the foreseeable future. The rom is based on official ota updates for the desire z, similar to g-lite. It's, as I understand it, basically only a stripped down and optimized version of the last ota update, with things such as 4-way reboot options added.
So any future updates first require a new ota update, which I'm unsure if we'll ever see. Since we finally got the gingerbread update and at least as far as I know there haven't been any announcements concerning a possible Sense/ICS update.
Thanks. Well I was kinda hoping they put in some bits and pieces of sense 3.0 or make it even more faster.

Sense rom

I owned a Sony xperia x8 prior to this nexus and I loved it.. People in xda tried a lot to port sense on to x8 but failed to do it fully as lack of rom space...
Well now we have 1 gig of rom so I don't think we'll have less space or that.
Have people here tried porting sense 4.1 to our nexus?? It would look so beautiful here.
If no one has.. Please try now.
Or I have done some development in android.. Would love to learn.. Can you guide me to the place I can learn to make a sense rom?

Yes, without apparently success. Use the search in development section.
There's a couple of other threads discussing the same thing right now. The short answer, if I understand correctly, is that the technical difficulties involved are more than most devs want to tackle. Sense was never written to operate on this hardware, so the job of porting it over would be huge. In addition, Sense is closed source, so without access to any of the Sense source code the job gets even harder.

Just don't think there's enough interest.
http://www.sense4all.info somewhat got it but they said porting sense 3.5 will be easier so I think they're doing that right now. Maybe.
No offense, but why not just by a HTC device?

[REQ] Ported Roms from AT&T Note II section

Hi
I like testing new Roms to discover new UI, features,.... But for several weeks the development of new Roms is almost dead (many roms already exist, the new section of Galaxy S 4, Note 8.0...)
Of course I thank all developpers who worked and still work for the Note II section!!! :good:
I had a look at AT&T Note II section and it seems that several Roms don't exist for N7100 International. I'm not a developper but I already saw a few threads about porting roms and it seems that it does't require a lot of time... As a reminder I'm not a developper
Everybody has a lot of things to do but if some developers could port AT&T remaining roms to N7100 section it would be AWESOME!!!
I hope that my suggestion is the beginning of new threads
Thank you.
What's the point? We have plenty of awesome ROMs that they don't - and I don't think we're missing out on anything.

That's not my point of view. I'm very glad to see the good work of each developper.
If you compare with themes for CM10.1 based roms, even if 20 themes already exist I will also be happy to discover one more theme.

Themes are not the same though. If you have already ROMs which offer exact same functions and more, what's the point of other ROMs? It's fun to try out, but it's not necessary at all. As in not worth porting.

Of course.. I didn't check all remaining Roms from AT&T section. It was only a suggestion

Boring ROMs

Why is it sense lollipop that all Roms are exactly the same.
Of course I'm not a Dev or a themer of any kind buy damn if people Don't take the easy way out when building a Rom just to push out a buggy non stable edition of the most recent .
Please ,all comments welcome

Pretty much all of them,
AOSP,GPE ,SENSE
I have met all requirements for every Rom with clean installs like we should all do and damn if either "videos" or an actual apk like the gallery just don't work.
I lack in the smarts to actually dev these Roms or I would put out a 100% stable one off Rom without a commit or half ass cherry pick from someone else's work with the same issues .
A fully unlocked phone that we can do anything with and it feels like an AT&T S4 with a locked bootlooader

Taking the easy way out? No. Developing a ROM is not easy. This is very disrespectful to the developers who provide these ROMs. They provide these ROMs free of charge, in their own time, for everyone to enjoy. If you're unhappy with the ROMs on offer I suggest you learn to develop and create a ROM yourself.
