btw i unlock my phone
i cant see my htc in pc to copy paste any thing
and i have boot loop
I tried to download the latest HTC Sync Manager, HTC Driver 4.0.1.002, HTC Driver 4.3.0.001 & HTC Driver 3.0.0.007 but still same problem.

That error is because you have the usb cable connected when entering the boot loader. If you want to see the sdcard as a usb diskdrive you can flash a recovery that supports that option like philz touch recovery 5.15 !

thank you for replay Mr Hofs but when im try to recovery i have this error
F:\JDownloader\Fastboot\Fastboot>fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

btw mt htc one x dosnet have sdcard and my pc cant see my device + that i have boot loop
please help me if can @ skype : shadifares2001 after that u can delete me and block me please its not my device

I don't do skype, but that recovery you are flashing is way to big. They are never bigger than 8 mb on the hox !
https://www.dropbox.com/s/qp21ubo10xetcvn/Philz recovery 5.15.9.img
Try that one !

work fine but still my device in bootloop and my pc cant see htc device to copy and paste inside it
what the next step

You flashed the recovery, so enter it. It doesn't get fixed with only flashing a recovery.
Enter fastboot and select recovery from there. Then enter the mounts and storage menu and tap the last option in that list (mount as usb mass storage) and wait literally a few minutes !

u are super amazing work fine and i see it but all system data gone nothing left ... i copy cm-11-20140525-NIGHTLY-endeavoru and try to install i give me error status 7
installtion aborted
im try to install CyanogenMod

dude thanks for u im almust done i copy the file and enter recovery mode and install from zip and click in cm-11-20140525-NIGHTLY-endeavoru and get this error status 7 installation aborted cyanogenmod i google it they said delete 2 line and i try it but still same

Kitkat based roms need a different recovery. Philz 5.15 is only for NON KITKAT roms.
You want to flash kitkat roms, use this one
https://www.dropbox.com/s/14c1ikgsp38axwv/twrp-recovery2.img

i have this error
no md5 file found
e: unable to mount '/usb-otg
i unlock my htc but i dont think i root it is this matter

No. Just try this. Flash the philz 5.15 again. And copy a sense 5 rom to the phone. Make a FULL wipe in the recovery (that means EVERYTHING you can wipe EXCEPT the sdcard) and install the rom. Don't forget to flash the boot.img from the rom too !
---------- Post added at 05:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:01 PM ----------
And if you want to install CM11 you flash philz and copy the rom to the phone. Then flash the TWRP i linked ya and install the rom with that ! Also flash the correct gapps and also fastboot flash the boot.img from the CM11 zip.
And don't make more threads. Totally unnecessary !

is that driver unable to mount '/usb-otg and how to install it

Why OTG ? If you flash philz 5.15 and copy the rom, then flash TWRP test 2 and install the rom.....you don't need to mount the sdcard in twrp anymore because the rom is already on the sdcard.
What exact steps are you taking now currently ?

man i know im annoying u about this
1- i unlocked my htc no root
2- i install recovey philz touch 5 ( cwm base v : 6.0.3.7)
3- i try to install it give me error status 7

Give me the outcome of :
Fastboot getvar version-main
1: you flash philz 5.15 (which i linked)
2: you copy the rom to the sdcard
3: you make a full wipe
4: you flash the boot.img from the rom in fastboot
5: if it's a kitkat rom you copied you flash the twrp recovery i linked
6: install the rom
7: reboot
* note : if the rom is a sense 5 rom or at least a NON kitkat rom you can stay on philz recovery 5.15 and skip step 5 !
Try this and report what's happening. And with which recovery and such. The more info the better !

Mr Hofs i send my brother mobile to localy expert phone and he cant fix it ........ i dont wanna root i dont wanna kitkat i wanna recovery the orginal system how can u help me about that coz all step u told me to do dont work with me .... be Patient with me help me i can use viper skype and live chat or live voice to connect u to respond fast
thank you

You do this :
Download arhd rom (as good as stock) and copy it to the phones sdcard via philz touch recovery 5.15. Flash the boot.img from the rom via fastboot :
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Inside recovery you do :
Factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Advanced - wipe dalvik cache
Mounts and storage - format cache, data and system
Then install the rom.zip
Reboot.

can u give me rom link and boot.img link to download it
what this mean

Take either one. Doesnt matter now

thank you for helping me to fix it i install the original rom and its work fine

My phone is not booting

Hello Guys,
I have a major problem with my HTC one X .. Let me tell u the story from the beginning. I was installing a ROM a specifically this one and I installed the kernel and all fine .. The phone booted and it was working perfectly but there was a problem with the keyboard that whenever it runs it crashed and I couldn't fix it. I said I will restore my old ROM that I saved with the recovery mood while I was installing the new one. I restored it and everything was restored perfectly. Then I got another ROM this one and I installed it ... I copied the zip file to the sdcard and then I restarted my phone in the fastboot mode to install the kernel and install the ROM as usual. I installed the kernel of the ROM using fastboot and then I entered to the recovery mood to install the ROM and complete my installation. BUT when I entered to the sdcard from the recovery mood I found nothing !! as if the sdcard has been formatted ... or as if someone deleted some files .. I couldn't find my ROM.zip though I am sure I copied it .. I couldn't find anything ... I tried to restore my old ROM and fix the issue but when I tried to restore I got no file found the ClockworkMod is not able to find the backup image as I am not able to find my backup image ... Now the phone is not booting and I don't have any access except to the fastboot mood and the ClockworkMod recovery. Is there anyways I can reach the sdcard to copy a ROM and to install the kernel to be able to boot .. .. or how can I boot and fix this issue. Please help me guys . ...
Ow first thing : enter the recovery and mount the sdcard as a mass storage device/usb diskdrive
When you mount the sdcard as a mass storage device in the recovery .... is there a sdcard\O dir ?
If so copy it all from that dir back to the root of the sdcard !

Thank you Mr Hofs all worked great I had access to the sdcard and I was able to flash a new ROM but now I have some problems ..
I flashed the cyngmod rom and it worked pefectly but when I install gapps the keyboard stopped working and many applications .. would u mind if u suggest me a good jb 4.2.1 ROM + gapps that u tested which stable and working perfectly .
I never tested a single CM10 but did you install gapps directly after installing the rom without reboot ? Otherwise try the CM10.1 seems pretty well in my opinion !

I installed CM 10.1 and I rebooted .. all was working great but I don't have google play or anything .. I rebooted to the recovery mood and then I installed the gapps .... that "they said" it should work perfectly and then I rebooted but they keyboard keep crashing and the googplay ... simply .. I can do nothing :S :S
Wipe, flash ROM, then without rebooting, flash GApps and reboot.

Same exact problem !!
here are the steps exactly
1- erased the cache
2- Installed the kernel
3- erased the cache again
then I went to recvoery mod
1- Install ROM
2- install gapps
3- reboot
when I rebooted keyboard is not running and it keeps crashing !! :S :S
Wiping cache will not do the trick. Use the wipe/factory reset option in recovery before installing rom and gapps.
I did .. I usually before I install the ROM I wipe
1- data/factory-reset
2- cache
3- delvik cache
Also wipe in mounts and storage
Format cache
Format data
Format system
To be sure and then install the rom.zip

[Q] endeavoru cannot flash recovery

I previously managed to flash clockwork and sentinel. Now my recovery is corrupt and I cannot flash the recovery (or boot) .img..
I get the error 0X3000 remote fail when I try fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (the name of my ROM).
I cured this on the first install by fastboot erase cache. this now gives the error failed remote err )x 1900000
fastboot devices gives me the device name.
So my recovery is corrupt, and I want to flash a new recovery and then a new ROM.
Thanks
Fish
Managed to get recovery working but could not mount usb no drive E: error.
No backup either, even though i did one, files missing.
Tried to install zip, but lots of directories missing.

Recovery was clockworkMod (the version with chargimng and full USB).
I eventually rebooted my PC and could then erase cache, flash recovery again, mount USB from recovery and reflah boot, now alls well.
(Except no keyboard
So looks like the errors were PC related.
Ha..ha..okie...glad that its finally resolved

One thing, UNLOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER then flash a custom recovery and a custom ROM.
1: unlock bootloader
2: get your main version number :
Fastboot getvar version-main
Take that number and go here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140
3: Download the matching nandroid backup and flash the boot.img and recovery.img
4: enter the recovery and copy the nand to the sdcard by enabling mass storage
5: make a full wipe in the recovery and restore the nandroid backup
6: reboot
If the recovery from the nandroid does not give you ums acces then flash this recovery first
https://www.dropbox.com/s/yqzlpqo8illa53j/Philz recovery 5.15.9.img
Enter it and enable mass storage, wait literally for a few minutes to let it pop up. Then copy the nand. And start over at point 3 !

HTC One X Bricked.. Help Needed

First of all, I want to tell that I am a beginner and do not know much about rooting and custom ROM installation.
Few days back, I became very keen to know what is custom ROM and is there any custom ROM available for my HTC One X. I searched through internet and found one, downloaded it. Rooted my phone, Unlocked bootloader. After that I installed CWM touch recovery. Everything was going great. Then, I first flashed the kernel given along with that custom ROM. it Flashed. Then, I flashed that Custom ROM. I Showed an error. I flashed it twice or thrice but it stucked on that error. Also in a Hurry, or Excitement, I forgot to take a backup of my previous ROM. After that, I switched on my phone it does nothing and stucked at HTC Bootscreen. I factory reset my phone, it wiped all data from phone. I Thought, a RUU would work, but it also doesn't worked.
I went to HTC Service Center, they are saying that motherboard will be replaced, which is almost of same cost of phone. I cannot spend so much.
I tried so many ways, but nothing worked.
So, I am Finally here seeking help from Experts. Any help will be highly appreciable.
Sorry for my bad English.

If its a kitkat ROM you can't use cwm recovery to flash that rom.. you either use philz recovery given by mr hofs or latest twrp recovery from the twrp thread or indexed listing thread..

sorry for this stupid question. But how to use ADB Sideload..??
Just mount the sdcard in the mounts and storage menu ! No need for adb sideload
And don't just install the rom, you must perform a full wipe before that !
Factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Wipe dalvik cache
Format system
Format data
Format cache
Then install the rom !

If that doesn't work try this , this is what I did when I bricked my HTC One X:
1. Download Fastboot
2. Download adb
3. Download cm-10.2.1-endeavoru.zip (https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=endeavoru)
(I used this one , it's justs so you get your SD Card Working again and you can
put ROMS and everything on it again)
4. Download openrecovery-twrp-2.4.0.0-endeavoru-JB (http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/endeavoru)
(This one will be used because it has touch ability's and you can install ROMS with it )
4.1 Or you can download recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.4.7-endeavoru.img (a.k.a Philz recovery)
(This one will be used because it has touch ability's and you can install ROMS with it )
( I used Philz recovery 5.15.9.img (provided by Mr Hofs -> who is a great guy btw)
5. Download openrecovery-twrp-endeavoru-2.1.7 (http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/endeavoru
(This one will be used for adb push commands, openrecovery-twrp-endeavoru-2.1.7 has a built
in ability for your sd-Card , adb can recoginze it but the problem is your touch will not work.)
6. Go into bootloader -> fastboot and do this:
6.1 fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-endeavoru-2.1.7.img
7. Go into recovery (Hboot -> recovery)
7.1 just open the recovery, your touch will probably not work. DONT LOCK IT JUST LEAVE IT OPEN
(ADB sideload didn't work for me so that's why we are going to do this)
IF YOUR TOUCH WORKS YOU CAN SKIP STEP 8
7.2 do this command: adb devices
If you don't find your devices in this then the next steps will not work.
YOU HAVE TO SEE YOUR DEVICE
7.3 do this command: adb push cm-10.2.1-endeavoru.zip /sdcard/
You can only do cm-10.2.1-endeavoru.zip if the zip file is located in the same folder your using
with command. I'm not sure about /sdcard/ . I cant remember anymore But this will put the
but this will put the zip Directly on your SDcard.
8. Go to bootloader -> fastboot
8.1 do this command: fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.4.0.0-endeavoru-JB.img
8.2 or do this command: fastboot flash recovery Philz recovery 5.15.9.img
Your touch wasn't working but it will work now.
9. Go to booloader -> fastboot
9.1 extract the boot.img from the Download cm-10.2.1-endeavoru.zip into the fastboot folder
9.2 do this command fastboot flash boot boot.img
9.3 fastboot erase cache
10. Go back to recovery
10.1 Wipe User Data
10.2 Wipe data cache
10.3 Go to advanced -> wipe Dalvik Cache
11. Install zip from sdcard
11.1 Choose cm-10.2.1-endeavoru.img
11.2 Install the zip WITH full wipe
12. After the install, reboot. You should have a full functional HTC ONE X now
13. Now but your ROM's(ZIP FILES)/Recovery(ZIP FILES)/Kernels and everything you want on your HTC because
You can see your HTC on your PC again!
I tried adb push.. But i cant find the pushed zip on sd card in recovery.. Moreover i tried flashing using fastboot command i.e. fastboot flash zip rom.zip it ended with an error <remote not allowed>

13. Now but your ROM's(ZIP FILES)/Recovery(ZIP FILES)/Kernels and everything you want on your HTC because
You can see your HTC on your PC again!
Why are you flashing so many recoveries ?
Just flash Philz 5.15 for non kitkat roms or twrp2 for use with all roms. On those 2 recoveries all features work including touch on all hboot numbers. You don't need 2.4 at all !
And both recoveries support UMS inside the recovery. I think you only made it a bit hard on yourself this way. The rom (CM) didn't make your sdcard work again btw.....any rom does but it has to be installed all in the correct way
Sorry to say but your steps are a bit of a mess
I would have explained it like this....taking in mind that knowing fastboot is mandatory and common :
1: flash either Twrp2 or Philz 5.1.5 (for non kitkat roms)
2: enter the recovery and mount the sdcard in the mount menu, wait literally minutes to let the sdcard pop up
3: copy the desired rom
4: unmount and perform a full wipe (that means to wipe ALL except sdcard)
5: install the rom.zip
6: reboot to the bootloader and flash the boot.img from the desired rom
7: reboot
Done !

The problem with this was that when I mounted my sdcard nothing popped up. (I litterly waited 30 minutes) I explain it this way because when following other threads explaining how to "unbrick" your phone. I got a lot of issues during the proces. Like SD-card not mounting, fastboot not working, adb not working, touch screen not working, promises of recovery's that your device wil be recognized for usb sideload, ... I ran into a lot of problems and I had to figure it out myself how I had to unbrick my HTC because I forgot to take a back-up. And these were the steps I did.I know your explanation is more 'ideal" but sometimes people can't follow the ideal path because of issues/bugs/problems and that's where my thread comes in
If it doesn't pop up its a pc driver issue

For me it wasn't I had properly installed all drivers. it just said endeavoru on my devices. And i couldn't connect. But once I installed the TWRP recovery it showed HTC ONE X and it worked
The twrp did nothing, as i said .... it was a driver issue. Once you booted to the bootloader it got picked up and drivers were added/modified correctly. If the drivers were installed properly it should say MYHTC .....
@vsp33ddyv MAAAAAAAAAN you saved me!!! I soft bricked my dad's phone by accidentally flashing the recovery to the boot partition as well as the recovery partition so the stock ROM was overwritten by the recovery. I wasn't planning on flashing any ROMs so there was no rom zip on my sdcard. I downloaded CM11, tried sideloading it through adb but it kept saying it didn't recognize the device. I tried USB storage mounting but that didn't work either (no matter how long I waited). I would have NEVER guessed that all I needed to do was download that broken (I say broken because touch doesn't work so basically nothing works) TWRP recovery img!!!! @Mr Hofs, sir, you were wrong. It wasn't the drivers. ADB didn't recognize my device, I changed my recovery and BAM it's suddenly there. I had already rebooted the device a million times so it's not like the drivers suddenly decided to get installed (there were no notifications either).
So thank you thank you thank you SO DAMN MUCH!
Thank you very much.
If it hadn't been for your tutorial i would've had to throw the phone.
Many thanks.
