Have any of you been able to hook up the wiimote to this device and play any games (N64, SNES, etc.)? I can't figure how to get it going.

Anybody?

Then use an emulator and individually map each button to each action e.g 1=A 2=B and so on, but this is kind of advanced and I don't remember exactly a how to do it but I did eventually map the wiimote to mimic a NES gamepad and play SMB

Thanks for your reply.
Have you tried this app? Like most other Wiimote apps, it warns: "This app doesn't work on phones with HTC Sense UI and most newer Samsung phones (Galaxy S included). More info on the website." I'm assuming that the Note 10.1 2014 is one of the "newer" Samsung models.

I tried it on my old 4.1.1 tablet and it worked. May not work for the Note 10.1. I don't own one so I couldn't tell you. I would just try and see if it works. If not, I would look around for others

If u can, id recommend getting a cheap ps3 controller off craigslist or somewhere. Mapping controls for higher end Android games and emulators is a breeze.

if you use the said app you must ensure your android version is below 4.2. this is already mentioned in the app description:
Incompatibility update: Android 4.2+ is not compatible with this app. The reason for this is that Google changed an essential bluetooth component in this version of Android. We are looking for a solution.

in this case, the note 10.1 2014 is highly unlikely to work since it came preinstalled 4.3

Today was the day Minecraft Pocket Edition was released for all Xperia Play devices, and I tried to run it on my Droid Inc2, but it won't use the touch screen, so I had a question/request.
1) Can we use a PS3 Controller (as you can sync it with your Droid now) to play?
2) Is it possible for someone to mod it and have it for non-Play devices?
Also attached is the demo version, so I hope it's not against the rules.
I really wish it worked with our phones... Looks awesome so far. I am pretty sure you will be able to use a PS3 or Wii remote to play it with non-play devices. I don't think its going to be possible to make it work on our phones until its official.
I read that some controls work when using a sixaxis controller
Yeah. You can run around, break and place blocks as well as jump and crouch. Problem thus far has been inability to look around... still playing with sixaxis button mapping.

You were able to break and place blocks? How'd you manage that? I was only able to move around, jump and crouch
In the sixaxis mappings use button_R1 to place and button_L1 to break.

So from Sixaxis Controller's app, set the mapping for R1 and L1 to button_R1 and button_L1 ? Cuz even when doing that I can still only jump crouch and move around..
Not that it should matter but I have them flipped so R1 = Button_L1.

Has anyone figured out how to look around?
I tried every button mapping available in the sixaxis controller app. No can do.

Forgive me for digging up an old thread, but I have a question about the Sixaxis app, and you all seem to be using it with your Dinc2's which to me implies the app works with the phone. I haven't actually bought the app, but I ran the compatibility checker and my phone failed. So I'm a little hesitant to just give it a shot.
Is it a false failure?
Do I need a certain ROM to have comptabitility?
I tried searching for this(Google, and here on xda), but all I ever get are threads about how to do it with an Incredible 1, which apparently involves loading a custom ROM, and giving up the TV out functionality.(Dinc1 owners seemed to dislike that tradeoff) I also read that the incompatibility involves Sense's Bluetooth driver, which is why a custom ROM makes Sixaxis work with the phone.
I am running 2.3.3, and am rooted.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If starting a new thread is a better option I will do that. I just figured I'd post about it on the only thread that came up when I searched "sixaxis" in the Dinc2 forum.
Has anyone had any success with getting a Wiimote or SIXAXIS controller on their t989? I've attempted to get a Wiimote to work to no avail. I haven't been able to test a SIXAXIS since I don't have one. I'm using the Gingersnap rom on my device.
Any thoughts, suggestions or solutions are welcome!
The Wiimote does not work, however I have seen that the Sixaxis controller will work very well

I've got a sixaxis controller working. You need the sixaxis app from the market. I got it to work with whitehawxx stock rooted rom and macnut's revenge. Just follow the steps on the sixaxis' dev's website and it'll work fine.
here is my video on youtube using the ps3 controller with my old white galaxy s2. http://youtu.be/23lXN3hK1nA
u need this app. this will run a test to make sure it will work for your phone, before u buy it. https://market.android.com/details?...kaW9zLnNpeGF4aXNjb21wYXRpYmlsaXR5Y2hlY2tlciJd
then if it says it works then just buy the app for 1.99 in the market. then u need to be rooted in order to even use this app.
hope this helps a little bit for you.
the market is telling me that the SIXAXIS app isnt compatible with my device.

Well thanks for all your replies. I was able to get the SIXAXIS controller working. For those wondering how to get it connected, first you have to pair the device with a computer by using a tool like sixpair for linux which basically spoofs your Android device's Bluetooth MAC address on your computer's Bluetooth adapter. Once successfully paired with your computer with the spoofed MAC, the controller will easily pair with your phone.

hello,
I know there is a patch to make any controller playable on onlive but that is for desktop onlive correct? is there a way make it so we can use a ps3 controller on onlive on our nexus 7?? Or do i have to buy there controller to use with my nexus 7? i need something until the nyko android gamepad comes out!
any info would be greatly appreciated....
ty
As a wired controller it worked out of the box with no additional apps.
My setup being OTG adapter and a standard mini usb lead to the controller
Only tested with deus ex and saints row on onlive.
To use as a wireless controller requires the sixaxis app or similar, I've had no luck with this so far although the app makes has the option to show the wireless controller as a sixaxis so it should work.. I might test that one again..
I'm when I did try i could only navigate menus. it was like the onlive didn't accept there was a controller and came up with that message (a controller is required to play this game)
Just tested and what I've said is correct.
Install this onlive app and u can use any controller with it. Onlive will recognize them as an official controller and u can play any game. Including six axis over Bluetooth. http://db.tt/nn0hUg8e

Yes, using the patched app and Sixaxis you just need to tick the 'Enable Gamepad" option to enable native gamepads.
Not really a tutorial, but proof that it works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwSW1N7rtBw
That works!

Awesome, thanks! Now I just need to have a decent internet connection I guess.
Yes it works well, this is one of the first things I did with my tablet when I got it. Now I just need to figure out how the patch was done, cause unfortunately it uses the on live version before the last which had some performance improvements. Got it decompiled now I gotta dig around in smali. I'll definitely post anything if I can isolate the patch and apply to newest version.

Excuse my ignorance, but how do I install this? I have tried multiple times and it tells me that the install fails because there is a pre existing program with conflicting signatures.
Thanks in advance!!
how do you map?
So it works but the buttons are mapped in a fashion that makes is unusable - where do you properly map the buttons on the ps3 controller (don't see how within onlive)

Gentlemen,
I was wondering if anyone. Or could make this app work on our note 2. I saw an article about getting it working on the original note, and it included modifying the build prop to be able to download from play store (or just side load the apk, I guess), and modifying the dpi, both of which I know can be done once rooted.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

Just download OnLive from the PlayStore...? I did and it runs fine (aside from my slow data speeds).
I agree with the above post.
The Android app has touch inputs for some games. If you have the onlive universal controller, than you can play any game that supports gamepads. Keyboard and mouse, maybe hit and miss. Maybe with a blue tooth keyboard and mouse.
What you're talking about, a lot of work that isn't going to give you better experience than what the Android app will give.
That,s on live
That,s onlive he is talking about (onlive desktop) there is a difference
one is for games the other for office use to different apps.
I don't believe the OnLive desktop is available on Android. I haven't seen anything about it being modded for android.
Unfortunately, it's just a miscommunication. There is the OnLive desktop client for the gaming service, and there is a OnLive Desktop service that's an additional fee. It was aimed at more the OSX and iOS people since it's Windows Server environment.
I used onlive desktop for some writing assignment on my transformer infinity so it definitely is for Android

No there is an Onlive desktop, aimed for tablets (android and ios). I had it working on my old evo view.
I have the apk, but it won't run. It is on the play store (not the version to game on), and it states not available for this version.
Let me dig and find the url for how someone got it working for the original note

Confirmed Samsung galaxy s4 gsm/CDN. Cm10.2
I have been able to correct the X0 sq & tri by editing the ps3 controllers .kl file (changing those entries to match those in the cm10.1 .kl file).. However.. The L/R2 and touch events still do not register. I think the app dev needs to do some work and or get on the same page as CyanogenMod.
Confirmed either way.

I dont Have That Issue, in fact I Can Play most games on both my NN7 and N4 IE Respawneables Riptide GP2 etc, but like a "normal gamepad" the only issue i have is with touch profiles.
I actually managed to set up and play with touch profile Respawnables and Riptide, sometimes it does not work, and is not doing anything at all in Asphalt 8...
Weird. I have a touch profile for PPSSPP and it worked great. Hmmm...
