Onlive desktop - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

Gentlemen,
I was wondering if anyone. Or could make this app work on our note 2. I saw an article about getting it working on the original note, and it included modifying the build prop to be able to download from play store (or just side load the apk, I guess), and modifying the dpi, both of which I know can be done once rooted.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

Just download OnLive from the PlayStore...? I did and it runs fine (aside from my slow data speeds).

I agree with the above post.
The Android app has touch inputs for some games. If you have the onlive universal controller, than you can play any game that supports gamepads. Keyboard and mouse, maybe hit and miss. Maybe with a blue tooth keyboard and mouse.
What you're talking about, a lot of work that isn't going to give you better experience than what the Android app will give.

That,s on live
That,s onlive he is talking about (onlive desktop) there is a difference
one is for games the other for office use to different apps.

I don't believe the OnLive desktop is available on Android. I haven't seen anything about it being modded for android.
Unfortunately, it's just a miscommunication. There is the OnLive desktop client for the gaming service, and there is a OnLive Desktop service that's an additional fee. It was aimed at more the OSX and iOS people since it's Windows Server environment.

I used onlive desktop for some writing assignment on my transformer infinity so it definitely is for Android

No there is an Onlive desktop, aimed for tablets (android and ios). I had it working on my old evo view.
I have the apk, but it won't run. It is on the play store (not the version to game on), and it states not available for this version.
Let me dig and find the url for how someone got it working for the original note

Here's the link to how someone got it working on the OG note:

And here's the. To an older apk:

I adjusted my dpi 240 and downloaded it from the play store. Then used xposed installer app tweaks to set the dpi for onlive to 192. Works fine for me.

Minecraft Pocket Edition!

Today was the day Minecraft Pocket Edition was released for all Xperia Play devices, and I tried to run it on my Droid Inc2, but it won't use the touch screen, so I had a question/request.
1) Can we use a PS3 Controller (as you can sync it with your Droid now) to play?
2) Is it possible for someone to mod it and have it for non-Play devices?
Also attached is the demo version, so I hope it's not against the rules.
I really wish it worked with our phones... Looks awesome so far. I am pretty sure you will be able to use a PS3 or Wii remote to play it with non-play devices. I don't think its going to be possible to make it work on our phones until its official.
I read that some controls work when using a sixaxis controller
Yeah. You can run around, break and place blocks as well as jump and crouch. Problem thus far has been inability to look around... still playing with sixaxis button mapping.

You were able to break and place blocks? How'd you manage that? I was only able to move around, jump and crouch
In the sixaxis mappings use button_R1 to place and button_L1 to break.

So from Sixaxis Controller's app, set the mapping for R1 and L1 to button_R1 and button_L1 ? Cuz even when doing that I can still only jump crouch and move around..
Not that it should matter but I have them flipped so R1 = Button_L1.

Has anyone figured out how to look around?
I tried every button mapping available in the sixaxis controller app. No can do.

Forgive me for digging up an old thread, but I have a question about the Sixaxis app, and you all seem to be using it with your Dinc2's which to me implies the app works with the phone. I haven't actually bought the app, but I ran the compatibility checker and my phone failed. So I'm a little hesitant to just give it a shot.
Is it a false failure?
Do I need a certain ROM to have comptabitility?
I tried searching for this(Google, and here on xda), but all I ever get are threads about how to do it with an Incredible 1, which apparently involves loading a custom ROM, and giving up the TV out functionality.(Dinc1 owners seemed to dislike that tradeoff) I also read that the incompatibility involves Sense's Bluetooth driver, which is why a custom ROM makes Sixaxis work with the phone.
I am running 2.3.3, and am rooted.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If starting a new thread is a better option I will do that. I just figured I'd post about it on the only thread that came up when I searched "sixaxis" in the Dinc2 forum.

Yes it configures your bluetooth drivers to be compatible with the playstations3 hid bluetooth remotes. In a nutshell it pairs your playstation controller to your phone via a bluetooth mac adress that you match with your control via a windows app that the dev provides.

I only joined the Android party last April, but there's a number of great apps I find myself using all the time (in no particular order):
Pandora - I've been in love with this service for years, and the Android app is very solid
Rom Toolbox - Conveniently combines a bunch of features in one place. I only use the free version, and it's like a standard, very useful, Swiss Army knife. I imagine the paid version hulks it up to one of those inch-thick everything you might ever need in your pocket models. For me, the Terminal Emulator, Ad Blocker, Auto Start Manager, and Font Installer see regular use.
LastPass - While you have to pay to use the mobile client, it's really cheap and the convenience of having access to everything on the go is amazing. The app is comprised of two parts, really: a standalone browser for browsing to and automatically logging in to any site in your vault, and a system keyboard, which you can use to plug any of your logins into any app on your phone. If you're a Dolphin HD user, there's also a convenient browser plugin.
Waze - I typically use Google Nav when I don't know where I'm going, but Waze is amazing for user-generated traffic, hazard, police, and other information on your drive. I bring it up on my daily commutes so I can pick the optimal route to/from work, avoid speed traps along the way, and have an accurate, updated-along-the-way ETA for when the wife inevitably calls and asks when I'll be home.
Screen Filter - a sublime utility. qbking's video list didn't mention the widgets available with this app, which are my primary method of use. I have four different dimmer settings between 11 and 62% that cover just about every situation I regularly find myself in. A quick home screen slide and a tap and everything becomes much easier on the eyes in low light situations.
ZDbox - Like Rom Toolbox, this is an app that provides a handful of useful tools. It's my choice for app locking, batch uninstall, batch SD moves, and cache cleaning.
IMDb - I would die if I didn't have this baby handy for all the times I'm watching a show or movie and ask "where have I seen him before?!"
QuickPic - A stellar image browser with very convenient options to include/exclude specific directories on your file system.
Go Launcher EX - With themes, folders, widget resizing, gestures, etc., I love this launcher and its flexibility
AContact - I don't think I've ever heard anybody else talk about this alternative dialer/contacts; I stumbled onto it in the market one day and it's become my favorite for its clean, configurable interface
Woah can't forget GTA III

I'm loving AppBak. It makes a backup of your installed apps and when you restore it takes you to the Market for that app so everytime I do a fresh install of a Rom I can also install my apps fresh in a few minutes.

I have My Backup Pro not Titanium so I don't know but it only takes me about 10 minutes to re-download about 50 apps and there is only a small amount of data I restore. Then I end up with a complete fresh install which seems to be the starting point for solving several problems so I figure why not start there and try to avoid the problems in the first place.

Any good game controllers?

A PS3 controller. You need to use an app to make it work though.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA
Which ones?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA
You can use a PS3 controller if you have root I believe and the app to make it work is called "SixAxis" on the android market.
You can also visit your local gametstop and pick up the Android Bluetooth Controler. Heres the link of the one I bought http://www.gamestop.com/android/accessories/tablet-wireless-bluetooth-controller/97838 Works decent and great for the emulator apps such as n64oid and gensoid ect....
Would a stick on type analog joystick be out the scope of options here?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gray-Game-C...?pt=US_Tablet_Accessories&hash=item1c1dc7e6ed
I was considering this prior to finding this tread.
I use a Sixaxis PS3 controller. Everything else seems simply uncivilized.
If I could find a way to get a fightstick working on it, that would be even better.

[APP] XBMC on GN II

The folks at XBMC just released their newest version 12.0 "Frodo" Beta 2, and it's working great on our Galaxy Note 2. I though I'll share it with you guys, especially those who familiar with XBMC. Anyone interested can download the apk here http://xbmc.org/download/
Screenshot:
This is awesome. With HDMI out, I now have a portable Media center. No need to run it off of my PC.

Awesome. Great catch! My only issue with it is that it doesn't seem to want to detect the S-pen. For instance, when I was adding my media paths took out the s-pen to tap the folders and nothing. No screen tap detection. Anyone else having that issue?
Also, it took me a second to locate my external SD. Selecting external media actually takes you to the internal "sdcard" I had to go root filesystem, storage, extsdcard. My first Samsung device (been a HTC guy since the blue angel) so perhaps this is the norm but throwing that out there for those who may not know.
I can confirm that s-pen doesn't work with this app. But nonetheless, its still a great program. Since this app is still in beta, it could only get better.

In case you didn't find it- it's all in the setup...
For anyone who may not know xbmc stands for:
X-Box Media Center (of which it was(/is?) originally a port)
There are tons of add-ons you can install. Getting it fully setup can become an on-going evolution.
By hooking your device up to your TV & running this app you can essentially cancel your cable subscription and replace it with xbmc
There are also some additional skins & add-ons which can be found & downloaded elsewhere with a regular browser and installed from within the app (meaning: you can't get to everything that is truly available for this app from within it, although there's plenty available there...)

Have you tried this app? Like most other Wiimote apps, it warns: "This app doesn't work on phones with HTC Sense UI and most newer Samsung phones (Galaxy S included). More info on the website." I'm assuming that the Note 10.1 2014 is one of the "newer" Samsung models.

if you use the said app you must ensure your android version is below 4.2. this is already mentioned in the app description:

in this case, the note 10.1 2014 is highly unlikely to work since it came preinstalled 4.3
