Only problem atm I'm having trouble getting the play store to work on it, but here's the link for the update:
http://tablet-update.com/CobyUpdate.php
I'm in the UK and it worked without a single issue, even though the guide says it upgrades to ice cream sandwich it actually updates to jelly bean
This link is for the google play store apk files, but I'm having trouble getting it to work right.

Update
In case anyone still wanted this information, this worked like a charm (remove spaces, I have insufficient posts for external linking):
http :// hotodi. com/ install-google-play-on-cobys-jelly-bean-tablets/
Again, my tablet hasn't been rooted and it now runs Jelly Bean and the Play Store. Happy days
It is only version 3.7.11 of the store, but after trying to install a newer version from the above link (which failed to install), I'm just going to wait and see if it updates itself over time.
I'm happy at the moment

If this does not work for you please use the following to update and or restore , this will be 4.1 with working root and play store
Download from this link ,
https://www.dropbox.com/s/fixhl34x7qr13v6/1125.zip?dl=0
Copy entire 1125.zip folder to desktop
Extract 1125.zip to desktop
Install PdaNetA4170.exe driver ( This should allow you to transfer files with Fastboot )
This is Version 4.17 installer for Windows 8/7/Vista/XP (both 32/64bit)
Extract CWM recovery img_1125 folder to desktop by itself ( Do not remove any files from this folder )
Move zip files from zips folder to micro sd card and insert sd into tablet ( leave these in zip format !! )
coby_gapps.zip
coby_mid1125-seed-0012.zip
Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip
Also move apks from apks folder to MicroSD card
Uni-init+v1.0.apk
Google_Play_serv.ices-signe.d .apk
Busybox.apk
Link2sd.apk
and
market-helper-2.0-beta.apk ( this will allow spoofing of market for not compatible apps )
Open cmd window
( menu , run , when window opens , enter “cmd” without quotes )
Cd to directory
ie ,
type in window
cd desktop , ( enter )
cd CWM recovery img_1125 ( enter )
Now place 1125 into fastboot mode , power ( or reset button ) and volume down , tablet will show fastboot mode in lower left corner
Plug in usb cable to pc and tablet
Then in cmd prompt type
fastboot boot recovery.img ( enter )
It will show some stuff , flash ok and done ok
Tablet should boot to CWM give it a moment to do so ( You will see CWM Recovery Top hat and such )
Volume up is up , Volume down is down , Home ( Silver Button ) is select
Go to and select flash zip from sd card
This will pull up menu of following zip files
Flash each zip file
coby_mid1125-seed-0012.zip
coby_gapps.zip
Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip
Select reboot
Tablet will boot ,again give it a moment ( You will see Coby and then Android splash screen )
Select language from first screen ( as it will be in Dutch ), finish setup of tablet
Open ES File Explorer , go to tools setting in ES File Explorer and select
“Root Explorer” to on , allow when Super User prompt shows , this will prove SU is installed and working
Open ES File Explorer , Select sdcard top right , Select storage
Install Google_Play_serv.ices-signe.d .apk ( To sync Play Store )
Install Busybox.apk
Install Link2sd.apk
Install Uni-init+v1.0.apk
Open Uni-init+v1.0.apk , install intd support
( you will need busybox installed first for this to work )
You now have working Play Store , Superuser and Android 4.1 with Intd support
For Extended memory ,( You need this )
Increase Internal Memory by Link2SD : Min 2 GB microSD
In order to add memory to Coby 1125, your micro SD card used for install will need to be formatted
Copy all files you wish to keep from micro SD to desktop as it will be wiped
• Backup all your files on memory card.
• Go into the Recovery Mode ( as above , fastboot boot recovery.img ) ( Your operating system will be fine )
• Make a nandroid backup at this time
• Select “Advanced”, and then choose “Partition SD Card”.
• Then Choose your size ( if you have a 2GB Memory Card, choose 512 MB, and if you have a 4 GB Memory card, you can choose 1024 MB, ext ).
• Select 0 Swap.
• Wait for the process to finish, and then select Reboot
You’ve just made a partition on your memory card, and its ready to use.
Now follow the steps below for Link2SD
• Open Link2SD. You will be prompted to choose between ext2,ext3,ext4 and FAT32.
• Choose ext2
• Select OK ,
• It will then say, “Mount Script Created”.
• Now you Reboot your Tablet
• Open Link2SD again, if any message does not appear ,it means you succeeded.
• Go to Link2SD > Setting( far right top icon ) scroll down > Check the autolink. (to automatically move apps upon installation).
If you already have some apps listed , select “create link” ( be sure to check the files: app, dalvic-cache, and library files).
Move to SD option only moves app to SD it does not link them
Now to check the memory, select “Storage Info” . this will be showing you up the current status of your internal memory.
You should see as below SD Card 2nd Part
To move a system App you can long press App , it will pull up menu , select convert to user App let it do its thing
Select App again and it will open option to create link as installed user apps do
So far I have moved Calculator , VPN , Music FX , ES File Explorer and Sound Recorder with no issue
Use Link2Sd and (long press) on SystemUpdate.apk ( /system/app/SystemUpdate.apk ) and freeze app.
This will stop System Update from happening at random moments or on reboot
There is no Update to install though the System thinks so (without freezing it will continue to show updates available)
Can anyone reupload files? Links are dead...
Anyone still have these files? Is Jelly bean the latest Coby MID1125 can have?

Last step, change the startup.txt found on another My Storage partition, rename the following line:
" Set CMDLINE "rootdelay=2 root= /dev/mmcblk0p6 init=/init" to the partition number that you created, eg. mmcblk0p2.*
You should be able to bootup Android after that.
*Some device may get different number, you can look for the Android partition number through booting up the device without changing anything in startup.txt, then at this screen, check the one which has the actual partition from what you created, below is an example from jerrytech2468.blogspot.com:

LATEST NEWS & UPDATES

Froyo beta1. It's SD card installer (1024mb only). It includes latest kernel, modules, default filesystem is ext4, new keymapping. Download it here (it will wipe Your current installation and/or whole SD card content). As always it doesn't contain 2D/3D libraries from Samsung (You have to find them and put it before first boot to My Storage as o2b3update.tar.gz).
Froyo beta1 working things are:
Phone
WiFi
GPS
Data connections (GPRS)
Sensors (not everything is working: accelerometer can work, but compass not)
2D/3D (Samsung not allowed to us to distribute the 2D/3D library binaries, so they are not included in the image).
MP4/3GP movie play (camera hardware button doesn't work yet)
Camera in photo (up to 5MP) and movie recording mode (it's still not 480p, but works)
Note: There is still error, when within telephone conversation in approx.30 seconds the LCD blanks but also the sound muted - UNTIL NOT SOLVE, please use the Call Light or KeepScreen application from Market!!!
Note2: If You have problems with registering via Google use following workaround: open Youtube app and login there with google account.
Note3: Changed button mapping: Cube -> Menu, Lock -> Back, Back key -> Home, Hang-up -> Sleep/Hang-up/Wake, Camera -> not used.
Note4: Updates have now prefix o2b3update.{tar.gz|sh}.
Thanks, I will test today

The Froyo is awesome and I think the battery consumption has reduced and better now.
Is adobe flash works?
Any screenshot guys?
Sent from my Nexus One using Tapatalk
Works like a charm.
Just re-partitioning of my SD-Card was a bit tricky: The old Eclair-Beta-Partition was slightly smaller than the new one for Froyo. So the installation (haret within the o2beta-directory) always claimed that the SD-Card is too small (in fact mine is 2 GB). So I had to delete the old partitions and re-format it within the configuration-menu of WinMo.
If s.o. does not have a card-reader/adaptor for the microSD - just use this software linked in this post.
hey can someone upload the 3D drivers to mediafire. im having problem download it from filesonic
Looking forward to testing out FROYO. Taking a while to download as I guess a lot of people have been eagerley awaiting it!

If you want to try out stable Android that can be used on daily basis, for
**Android Eclair (2.1) on Omnia 2, see my previous thread, follow and download the links under UNOFFICIAL RELEASE.
**Android Froyo (2.2) on Omnia 2, follow my guides on this thread, the overall impression is smoother and better than the previous release.
If you follow every step by step, you should be able to run Android on your Omnia 2.
Thank you!
Followed your instructions and..... Froyo lives!
Be sure to stress enough that new 2D/3D drivers are needed in order for Froyo to work properly. Only thing, Froyo keep saying that the SD card is damaged, when, of course, is working properly. Someone else with the same issue?

For those who have problems with FileSonic, this is the 2D/3D files which i upload personally in .7z format.
You'll have to extract it out from .7z format first before you put into My Storage.
I've done what you said step by step but when android booted completely, in the welcome screen every time i clicked on android there is no response and suddenly the screen went black, I've tried to turn it on with keys but no response. What Should I DO?
Thanks
It works! Great work!
i have same problem as tiberiusmusicus. SD card is 'damaged'. however i can access it in winmo. it might be because the directory for the sd card is /mnt/sdcard and not /sdcard. im not sure....any solution? cant take photos because camera is not reading sdcard.

hello, after weeks of searching I finally found a way simple.Je explains all: you need a pc with windows seven and Archos 101 G9 8GB and the Samsung patch that works perfectly on our archos, you AppMonster application will also freely available on the market.
the procedure: AppMonster have recovered with the apk from gameloft games (purchased of course) are transferred on the pc with patch Auto_Patch_APK_for_Samsung_by_Duero__include_Java_.exe have to wait for the confirmation message succesfull patch, then it asks for the backup path apk patcher choose to desktop, then create a folder on your Android sD card (external) has the inner data folder then with root explorer or other make this a / mnt / storage / android / data and copy files in gameloft the new folder Android / data on sd external, then uninstall the gameloft games (you follow these steps you do not download the data again from your games) Apk install patch your games, launch the game until the verification file (very long lacing at first but after it starts normally) play and voila, you can skip the set of data transferred from the games, but in this case it telecharge again but on the external micro sd this time. desoler for my english I'm french and I hope it will help other people.
I have SuperNova ROM on the phone (Supernova_2.4.0.1_signed.zip). I have root and S-OFF (stock HBOOT image). Now that I have finally found a ROM that expands my internal memory some of the apps don't want to install. So the situation is that most of the apps do install, but when I try to install some of them I get an error message right after the download of the app is complete, and before the installation starts.
This is the error message:
Download error
Download was unsuccessful,
please try again.

One example of app that always fails every time I try to install it, is Angry Birds by Rovio Mobile. The download size is 33.83 MB (version 3.1.0) and right after the download completes it gives me the error that the download was unsuccessful.
What is this? Unsuccessful download? How can it be unsuccessful? I just saw the download complete!! This is more of an installation problem than download problem.
Why does it affect only some of the apps and not all of them?
I thought this had only to do with game apps, and/or apps with large install sizes. But I have installed Benji Bananas (version 1.9) which is 16.88 MB and some other heavy apps without a problem.
Does it have to do with where the app defaults to install? Default install location? Apps that install to SD (support Froyo App2SD) by default? Maybe this is somehow messed up with the App2SD+ and Data2SD that's integrated in this ROM?

Read this:https://supernova.droidzone.in/category/faq/ at 28.
Thanks Tonal! I actually visited that same FAQ page earlier today but I gave up after reading through half of the page. I didn't think that this issue was covered by the FAQ. I didn't expect to find it at the bottom of the page as the last Q & A. I feel like they should move this up to the top, maybe even make it the question number one, as I'm sure others have faced this issue before and it's probably a frequent issue.
Here is a copy of that Q & A for future visitors.
28 Question: I am unable to install large apps (typically >25 MB or thereabouts) on my phone
This is a limitation of Market cache. To solve this, you have to tweak your software a bit.
Beginners: You need to first install an app called Scriptmanager from the Market. Once done, download a script named cacheboost.sh from here. Run Script Manager, and select this downloaded script. Execute is as root (the icon with Skull and Bones must be activated). This script must be run after a reboot, and before you want to install a large app. The changed made by the script are lost after each reboot, though the app you installed remains installed. If you find yourself running this frequently, you may add the path to this script in an init.d script to execute it at every boot.
Advanced Users: Download cacheboost.sh script
Open a terminal emulator or adb shell interface
Code:
cd /path/to/script
chmod 755 cacheboost.sh
./cacheboost.sh
If you wish to load the script at every boot, add a line in /system/etc/init.d/01data

So this has to do with the cache of the Android Market app not being big enough. Go figure!
All of this is redundant however. Because I have solved it by simply manually installing the latest Play Store app (replacement of Android Market). It refused to install over ADB, so I had to copy the APK file to the SD and then open it with a file explorer.
Here's a short how-to.
Download the APK file for Play Store.
Connect the phone to the computer. If prompted, choose to mount as disk drive.
Copy the APK file to the SD card.
Disconnect the phone.
Go to menu, settings, applications, and enable unknown sources.
Start a file manager app (I used ES File Explorer, but ASTRO is good too).
Browse to the file (/mnt/sdcard/) and tap it to open. You'll be prompted if you want to replace a system app. Tap OK to continue.
I have included screenshots and the APK for the Play Store since I had it readily available anyway. But you can also check out this post at DroidLife and follow the download link there. It looks like they link to version 4.0.25. Mine is 4.0.27 which is even better.
Alright guys, this is going to be slightly long, but hopefully I will explain every detail.
Device Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 wifi
1. I am a Linux (ubuntu 14.04) user for my daily computing, I tried doing all of this in Heimdall, but every time I tried to connect to my Tab it would not let me push recovery or boot images.
2. I got a windows laptop and used odin 3.09 to do the following.
a. In odin I pushed the unofficial clockwork recovery to the tab.
b. flashed CM 11 M7 to the tab.
result:
Tablet booted very slowly but then was in CM 11 normally, once there I did not have access to storage.
- If I try to download some thing from the internet, or take a screenshot it tells me that SD storage is not available.
- Google play store crashes every time I try to start it.
- if I go into CM file explorer it says "Error Detected The File or folder was not found"
3. Used odin to flash official TWRP recovery, and repackaged boot.ini from CM and flashed that as a kernel.
a. used TWRP to format all partitions.
b. installed CM 11 M7 and gapps from external sd card
c. Fixed permissions (I know this actually does nothing, but I tried it anyway)
result (same as before):
Tablet booted very slowly but then was in CM 11 normally, once there I did not have access to storage.

So basically right now I have a semi functional tablet with CM11 on it, that will get on the internet, run gmail, and whatever apps are currently installed, but will not download anything, wilnot install new apps, or access google play.
if I use terminal emulator, I can CD into /storage, then when I try to CD into sdcard1 it works fine, but if I try to CD into sdcard0 it says "no such file or directory".
If I try to mkdir sdcard0 it says "mkdir failed for sdcard0, File exists"
Any thoughts?

Alright guys, this is going to be slightly long, but hopefully I will explain every detail.
Device Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 wifi
1. I am a Linux (ubuntu 14.04) user for my daily computing, I tried doing all of this in Heimdall, but every time I tried to connect to my Tab it would not let me push recovery or boot images.
2. I got a windows laptop and used odin 3.09 to do the following.
a. In odin I pushed the unofficial clockwork recovery to the tab.
b. flashed CM 11 M7 to the tab.
result:

Can you still read/write to internal?

sdcard0 is internal storage, I can evidently read from it, since the system starts up.
But I cannot read from it when the system is on, and I definitely can't write to it.
Try installing FolderMount from the PlayStore. It can detect and fix issues with your partitions. You just need to run it, then reboot. I seem to get issues writing to my data partition after I install TWRP, on my SM-P900. FolderMount fixed it quickly and easily.

I successfully rooted my Samsung Galaxy A320FL following more or less this guide (I know, it's a video and that's annoying, but it's also very clear. And there is a text version linked in description), with some modifications though.
I will write here what differs / is not specified in that guide.
I also attach all the files I used; they can also be found on the internet with some search.
Make sure to have installed on your PC Samsung USB driver for mobile phones, available on Samsung website.
I used different versions of the files needed (that guide is for Samsung 8). With the following files, everything worked well:
twrp-3.4.0-0-a3y17lte.img.tar
no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip
RMM_Bypass_v3_corsicanu.zip (learned this from another guide on this forum)
Magisk-v20.4.zip
Once TWRP is installed, the guide instructs you to install no-verity, then reboot to recovery and immediately after that reboot to system; only later, transfer and install magisk. THIS MESSED UP everything, in my case at least.
The solution was even faster: once TWRP is installed
plug USB and transfer all needed files (listed above) at once
install no-verity and reboot to recovery;
install RMM_bypass and reboot to recovery;
install magisk and reboot to recovery
reboot to system
Now you proceed following the rest of the guide.
After rooting, you may want to fix a few problems you may encounter: see next post.
HOW TO FIX FINGERPRINT AFTER ROOT
When your Galaxy A3 is rooted, unfortunately fingerprint will not work properly to log in on your apps (but it will work to unlock your phone). To fix this:
install from Google Play a file manager (like Solid Explorer)
in the left menu select ROOT folder, then rename
/system/priv-app/SamsungPass_1.3/SamsungPass_1.3.apk
to
/system/priv-app/SamsungPass_1.3/SamsungPass_1.3.apj
remove /data/app/com.samsung.android.samsungpass-1
reboot
This will remove SamsungPass. You will not be able to use SamsungPass anymore on your rooted phone, so forget the ability of saving passwords on websites and confirm them with fingerprint (you can still save passwords in browser or use google autofill; you just can't confirm them with fingerprint).
But, with the method above, at least you will be able to use fingerprint to log in those apps which natively support fingerprint login (like banking apps).
HOW TO MAKE BANKING APPS WORK ON A ROOTED PHONE
...Banking apps, though, tend to stop working when they detect a rooted phone. You can try to fix this using Magisk Hide feature.
Open Magisk and tap on the shield icon
Tap MagiskHide
Check your bank apps and any other app that want to prevent from detecting root. (According to the guides I read, hiding too many apps can be a problem: stick to what is really needed).
HOW TO MOVE WHATSAPP MEDIA FOLDER TO SD CARD
This was the main reason why I decided to root my phone: I was running out of storage. So I bought a high-quality and fast sd card (yes, it deserves your 20 €) and did the following:
Download "Apps2SD" (the original by Vicky Bonick; it's free) and follow instructions on how to create partitions.
You can create upto 3 partitions: 1st fat32/exfat/f2fs/ext4/ext3/ext2 (it's your SD card), 2nd ext2/ext3/ext4/f2fs (it is used to link the apps), 3rd swap partition (it's optional).
IMPORTANT: With Apps2SD you can LINK apps (they will end up in 2nd partition) or use FOLDER MOUNT (the chosen folder will end up in 1st partition, the one that looks like your normal SD card).
Please note that for Whatsapp media folder you will use FOLDER MOUNT method: so it will end up in the 1st partition. Create the 1st partition large enough for your whatsapp media.
Use "folder mount (app analyzer)" feature: it's like folder mount, but it's pre-set for some common apps, including Whatsapp. With this feature, you can successfully move Whatsapp media folder to SD, in one clic.
To understand what folder mount means: see FAQ.
In my case everything worked fine. When I reboot I have to re-mount folder, but it takes one second (just open Apps2SD, tap Folder Mount, slide "whatsapp other").
By the way, with App2SD you can do much more: you can move virtually any app to your SD card using the "Link apps to SD card" feature, as explained in Vicky's video.
...Hope this will save you some time!

Thank you! I successfully used your compilation for a T-Mobile branded unit, all works after some tinkering. I didn't have the fingerprint problem, possibly the Samsung security thing is not the same on the carrier-modified ROM.
I had problems first making root work because of the succession of operations - basically, everything needs to be formatted in TWRP so it can mount partitions. Once I boot up the ROM, TWRP won't mount anymore → every zip you want to install, you need to do in one go before you reboot to Android.
I tried to root mine, but it didn't show up in odin, it did show up in device manager but I can't do anything with it, no transfering files via usb, etc.
The drivers are installed, I reinstalled them a couple of times, tried a different USB port, etc...
No sucess so far, I hope someone here can help me
