Hi All,
Is there any LED control app that works as it supposed (HK 4.4.2) ?
I tried GravityBox and it doesn't work. I also tried LightFlow but it didn't work very well (the system override it very often).
Thanks

It's on the list of supported devices but says you need to enable in display settings for 3rd party app.

So I tried most of the led control apps, unfortunately non of them work with KitKat (HK ROM), probably LG changed the API.
Anyone had a different experience ?

What's the matter with your built-in system LED app controller?
I had to factory reset my phone, after the update to Kitkat, to get back my system LED controller.
You can't control the led colors and you can't set it to different apps.

Light flow app. Works great.

Apparently I had a problem with my notifications led. After I figured it out and used this app to resolve it, everything now is working as it should. I'm using Light Manager app for now (it has less functions than Light Flow but it uses less battery).
Thank you all

What app are you referring to? You need to enable LED notifications in settings of most
I've been using the app, Light Flow. It's had a few hiccups but works great for the most part. Very customizable. It requires root to work I believe.

I was getting LED, Status bar, audible, and vibration notifications prior to installing Light Flow. The key is you have to enable quite a bit of it in each individual application such as Gmail and Messaging. At first I was wondering why nothing would vibrate the phone even though I had the phone set to vibrate. If you don't want to use Light Flow, go through the settings in each application and check the notification settings. Most likely something is disabled. I use Light Flow simply because I want to change the LED color for different app and contact notification.
I was cool with the ICS upgrade and then realized why I hated the phone when I first got it. NO LED NOTIFICATION!!!!!!
Well its minor. Is there a way to make the BLNK app to work without rooting the phone, or changing the Kernel?
And also, shame on Samsung for not even making this thing built into the dam phone or ROM. Thats why I love CM7/CM9. All those features are built in.

by chance is there an app that utilizes the soft buttons at the bottom of the phone and have them illuminate as a led replacement?

Just a couple quick questions. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to:
A - control the color, rate, etc of the front LED. I NEVER see mine as it is. Starting to wonder if mine's broken. It was a feature I was really looking forward to coming from the tiny, invisible LED of the HTC One S, too!
B - flash the camera flash with text messages. I found a way to do it with the Galaxy SIII before I sold it but I don't remember how I did it. Dunno if it'd work on this anyway.
Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks!

This will allow you to control the LED:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rageconsulting.android.lightflow&hl=en
So will this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.lilhermit.android.TrackballAlert&hl=en
Trackball Alert is free, but isn't as feature-full as Light Flow
Use LightFlow. The dev is working on support for the camera flash.

I have light flow already, the purchased one, and it doesn't seem to do anything. Even when I try to test the settings, the little window pops up saying the test will begin in 5 seconds, nothing happens. Screen on, screen off, doesn't matter.
Am I doing it wrong?

Are you sure you led is not broken?
I have also a question to the notification LED. If I have no app installed to control it, when should it normally blink?
I never see the LED blinking, but I know it works, because I already tested it with a custom ROM where you could set different options for it.
But I am intereseted when exactly it should blink without modifications? I defentively doesn't blink for emails on my device.

Lightflow already has camera flash notification ability... And it's had it since the Nexus 4 went on the market
If you go into the settings, scroll all the way down, there's a nice big ole button that says CAMERA FLASH LED CONTROL
Turn it on, and you're done, you can configure it in the notification settings.
Surprised so many of you thought it was broken lol, all you had to do was look at that app settings.

How did you disable Lightflow in Accessibility. Did you just turn it off? If so then you do not get the full capability of Lightflow correct, or am I missing something here? Talked to the folks at Lightflow and they are stumped.

First make sure you have the led turned on...its in the settings. Light flow will work but you have to disable talkback (its an Android problem not an LG issue) question.. does your led light up when you turn the phone on? ..when your phone is off turn it on if it lights up all the colors then its working if not then maybe a hardware issue.

Working for me. Did you enable it in accessibility settings and enable notifications for the individual apps you want notifications for (via Lightflow)?
I didn't try it with your AOSP Messaging app, yet. I wasn't even getting status bar notifications, though.

You need to actually go in to the main settings, General, apps, select talkback, force stop, and then disable it (you may need to uninstall updates first). I had the same problem a little while ago. Does it only say the letters using the LG keyboard? Mine didn't do it for other keyboards.
Also, if you use tasker at all, it can successfully control the led colors. If you want to play with it, you can assign different colors for specific notifications. I haven't done so yet for the ogp, but I made an app for the lgog (only one color for that led though). Also, if you look up something called "buttonled" by germainz here on xda, he has made a tasker profile and app that might work for you too.
