Split screen XXALIH probably when they will update?

Just bought my note 2 thinking i might able to update.. But from what i have read the update only in UK.. Very sad..

I purchased note 2 on 10th and the first thing I did was to update my phone (2 updates). I am from INDIA. Hope it helps!

I'm in UAE.. I did the update to 4.1.1but still i didn't get the split screen

what do you mean?
I have rooted it and update the firmware but still split screen are not supported. here is the link

Hmm, you can read the second post on the ROM thread

I read the whole thread and as i can see developer said that its only for canadian and at&t version,not for intl. E975.
I would like to flash that rom but im affraid that im gonna brick my phone.
If you can help us with small tutorial on how to flash that rom to E975 we would appreciate that

Well technically the "Google Play Edition" is the Nexus 4. Obviously the hardware is a bit different, but that's essentially what it is.

dont forget MIUI...

Certainly! But, I'm just saying, realistically, I wouldn't hold out hope for one. Especially since the G2 is around the corner.

I know 4.2.2 firmware leaked sometime ago.......any idea when the next update is coming (if it is coming )

Well actually as of late LG was pretty good with updates. I took my lg 4x HD from Europe over to the USA and this phone was updated to jelly bean even thought it wasn't over the air rather then with the lg software it still was updated. So I would say that mist likely international non carrier branded versions, could possible see an update. Carrier branded version's on the other hand specially in the USA ? I wouldn't guarantee on that. That's why we can be thankful if developers provide us with the newest software when carrier and also manufacture NOT.

Personally I think it is ridiculous for any manufacture to abandon a flagship before atleast 1 year of regular updates. As the xda community, we should make enough noise with LG so that they take note and deliver updates for some time to come ..not sure how but...maybe Facebook / twitter will be the place to start

I send by email to LG:
"Recently I got the Optimus G PRO E989 in Brazil. The Android is still 4.1.2. There is expected to launch an update to Android 4.3
The LG OPTIMUS PRO never received an update. I would like a report from LG LG. OPTIMUS GN2 comes with Android 4.2.2
I called the support in Brazil and nobody knows if it will be updated and when.
Is there any date or timeline?

i asked them if they are going to release an update and they told me that they have already released kitkat

I also asked, they connected to my phone and said that i already have kitkat, i just didn't notice it.
Now i'm happy.

Every post about "kitkat is relased soon for our device is bulls***.
Answers from LG is just way to keep people away for a while asking annoying questions about updates.

No. It won't reverse the firmaware version. It will only wipe all user data. The problem with updating is that it may or may not render the root exploit that devs are working on as incompatible or useless. Also new update might enhance the security in the firmaware with chances to make it even harder to root. The opposite could happen as well.

Do you have the Hong Kong version? I think you'll be fine. The US Carriers are the one making things harder by providing a Kdz firmware with a modified version # 01. So, users can't be 100% stock if they try to reverse. Your's can be reverted anytime. Your phones Kdz file ends "00" ours ends with "01" but wait and see if the root method works or not when released.

All i can see is that none of the big boys are been active in the forum so thats a plus and great news. Just because they are so busy working on solutions and i cant wait so i can actually bring few roms to this baby..

Yes. I am having the hongkong version. U relieved me. This waiting is killing me. I had never waited for this long since my Desire S. Without root & unlocked bootloader, it feels like I am not enjoying such a enjoyable phone.
